I love Petco! The staff is always very friendly and helpful. It’s super clean and organized. There are items that I wouldn’t think I would find here. Also, the fact that they offer a discount when you order online and pick up in store, it’s a PLUS!

It’s convenient for me to go in a pinch, but the prices are really inflated if you don’t order online or for in-store pickup. They also do not have a great selection of aquatic life. Staff is always kind though.

Took my puppy in for her first full groom. They had shaved her down to her skin and left her with such bad razor burn that 3 days later I had to take her to the vet because it was infected costing us $170.I will never bring my dog back to Petco again to be groomed and warning others about the terrible service.

The store had urine on most the endcaps with stains all over. There were some dead fish in the tanks that were not removed. Lots of fish had clamp fin, not a good scene. I was there with friends for 10 minutes before l was greeted. I won't be returning to this location.Yuk!!

My family and I have quite a few animals, cats, dogs, snakes, chickens, foxes, and horses. Granges and tack shops are hard to find in Wisconsin, so we go to petco. They have a large selection of just about everything you need for your pet.

Absolutely ridiculous to charge customers for bags after spending money in your store. Really? This is a cost of running a business. The reply is even more ridiculous. You don't need to police your customers to make sure they are disposing of plastic properly. I mean my goodness who do you think you are. If you are so concerned about sustainability then use paper or cloth bags. 🤦♀️😂🤣UPDATE 11/06/23Still refuses to give you bags for your purchases.... really not cool.

Worst grooming service. Left with bleeding nails, wet dog smell and covered in loose fur. Stephanie, the groomer, should not be allowed to touch an animal. Nick, the manager, (poor guy) was sincerely apologetic but needs to insist on higher standards and oversee his underlings better.Do not subject your fur baby to this terrible place.

Great pet store for pet supplies. They are appointment only for grooming/wellness shots, so keep that if you're interested. Sometimes, the employees can be a bit pushy with their knowledge and what they are willing to sell. Most of the time, if you're looking for pet stuff, this will be the place. Don't forget to bring you're animals!

Great plan. Clean and organized. Way better than old location. This location doesn't have curbside pick up just buy online and pick up in store please change this so it doesn't confuse customers who might not be familiar with this newer location thx

Here's an honest review from a very upset special needs parent and an auntie to the boy you broke the heart of this afternoon (10/7/2023 approximately 2:30pm.) To the woman with the short sandy hair and glasses that ignored us for a good 20 minutes all the while helping others on the sales floor and visiting with staff, while your two other associates near the fish thought it was social hour not work time, and the other ran the register by herself.... I am not sure what your issue was today, but your customers come first. I have been to this location a couple times and the East, and I know from many years as a Petco customer that you can in fact allow your customers to handle the snakes and lizards and at the very least you can allow them to pet the critters. How else are you going to get them adopted? How else are you going to properly educate a potential owner? My nephew has waited two weeks for this pet store visit, we walked over a mile to get there today to be treated so poorly. My son has Autism and these pet store visits are often very therapeutic to him. Your attitude was totally uncalled for!! You are 💯 percent in the wrong line of work. I will no longer visit Petco West or spend my money at any petco store. With people like this working, I can only imagine how well those animals and other customers are treated on a daily basis....And no, a generic "I'm sorry your visit fell short of your expectations" isn't going to solve what happened today.Customers aren't an inconvenience, they are the reason you have a paycheck. My boys did not at all deserve to have to question all day why you did that to them.Discrimination is not ok so kindly go step on a freaking Lego.

I took my 3 month old puppy out for the first time and decided to go to Petco! She did a great job, and people were courteous and respectful of her age

It's okay, the workers are nice and they have a lot of different types of animals but a lot of things are hard to find and it's kinda crowded

Do not use their dog washing station; it's a rip-off, and they don't honor what their website says. It says:'No need to bring anything! You'll get access to our premium self-wash stations and we'll supply shampoo, conditioner, combs, brushes, towels, blow-dryers and aprons."My wife and daughter were there today with our Pomeranian puppy. Here it is in her words:I've never had much luck at Petco. I recently went back because I have a new puppy that needed a nail trim. The website said that nail trims were something among other grooming services, that would be done via walk in (no appointment needed). Got there and there was a sign on the register that said no walk-ins due to short staffing. The short staffing is getting old. Pay people more and they will want to work there.Besides this, I was intrigued that it looked like they had a self dog wash that may accommodate smaller animals. My daughter has been wanting to do the self dog wash, but every other place seemed to only have bigger dogs using this service. Petco's stations looked small dog-friendly. I checked for a worker to ask but there was no one to be found. Anyone could have stolen something and ran out the door without anyone knowing. The front area was empty for at least 5 minutes. Hopefully they have cameras. I was excited to tell my daughter of the possibility of doing the self wash and we went there the following Sunday. We had our Puppy and asked about the pet wash and said we have never done this before. They said it was ok for my puppy to use, took my money, and someone at that point showed us the wash. The pressure of the wash was way too forceful for a small puppy. I don't think some of the lines had soap, and there was definitely no conditioner. If I would have known about the water pressure ahead of time we would have not done the wash. Instead we tried putting our hand over the stream when washing her to not make it so forceful. Since no soap and conditioner were coming out, I figured it was kind of silly to stay. We got her out and were given 2 "towels" which were the size of 2 wash rags. Definitely not enough to dry her. The hairdryer was also too forceful for our puppy and it was cold. We weren't provided a brush even though the website said that brushes would be provided. I had my 7 year old ask someone thinking they just forgot a brush. Nope! Brushes are not provided only a shampoo massager and a couple of flimsy towels.Do NOT bring a dog there less than 15lbs. At the West Mason Street location, bring your own shampoo, conditioner, towels and a brush. I can understand if you have a big hairy dog that the high pressure water and cold dryer would be nice for them. Just be prepared to bring these other things. I just wish the staff would have told me, a newbie to this, that our dog was too small, and also told us what was and wasn't included since it was different from the website description. I am sure the lack of soap and conditioner was just an oversight, but staff really should have checked this before letting us use the bath.I'm just very disappointed and would like my money back. Tried calling since my pup was drenched, unbrushed and freezing we decided just to hurry home. Guess what? Only got voice mail and I tried several times . I left a lengthy voice mail, so I hope someone calls me back to discuss my experience.

It pains me to even write this, as I have had so many great experiences with the other Petco in town. Things just get weirder every time I go there, and its to the point that I will drive across town or just go to Petsmart. From being unfriendly to rescues doing dog adoptions there to continuously mislabeling canned dog food displays and becoming argumentative if you let someone know, this store is just not for me anymore.

Went to them for a trim of my puppy and they did AWESOME!!!! She was a younger girl that did it-and was very polite and attentive to what I wanted-which I didn’t even really know, I just knew what I DIDN’T want, lol. My yorkie poo looks absolutely adorable and will definitely go back!!! The pic doesn’t do her hairdo justice-

Bought a hamster and the employee was so knowledgeable about letting me how to care for it. If it wasn't for her I would have never done further research. Ditching the starter cage we bought and getting a big cage for our new little buddy.

1st time visit. Had what I needed. Larger signs for sections would help the efficiency of the search. Helpful staff, but they need to be more alert to spot and clean urine puddle(s).

Went to get my dog's nails trimmed. Staff was kind and gentle with Meeko and even offered some information about products we might like to try unrelated to her nail trim. They were knowledgeable without being pushy for sales.
