This place is amazing. I am not very handy, but when I bought my new house, I knew I needed to learn quickly. The staff at Kimps made everything so easy. They brought two different lawnmowers to my house so I could try them out, supported all of my questions, and were there when I inevitably broke things. I would NEVER go to another hardware store. I am all about a personal touch and the consumer service that comes along with it. An added bonus... they have popcorn. :)

I stopped in to look at all of the outdoor decal they had outside. Beautiful spinners and other outdoor decorations. Some were priced extremely high (even with their "sale" prices) but some were reasonable on size. I left with three beautiful pieces, but really wanted one of the big spinners but wasn't about to spend that kind of money on one.

I was at Kimps earlier this week for plumbing needs. I had broken faucets and shower handles, so part of it I knew how to fix, but most I didn't have a clue. Seeing the young staff made me nervous, but after asking for help, they proved quickly that they knew what they were talking about. I was impressed when I got home and everything fit together and my issues were fixed. Thank you Gentlemen.... I appreciate you!

Fast, friendly, and reasonable prices. I have rented a lot of equipment for various projects. They do a good job getting you in and out. They will also show you the equipment and start it before you leave. Wonderful people! The wood splitter with the dual way wedge is a huge time saver

This place is great! I forgot how much better service a hardware store has over big box stores until i started going to Kimps. Excellent service, very knowledgeable staff, very fast service. I buy all of my paint here for my rentals and remodeling of my own home. Fill selection of Milwaukee tools and an excellent place to get keys cut. They have a little bit of everything and sell quality. I would definitely recommend.

After spending $164 to have my lawnmower tuned up this is how I got it back. It looks like it was left outside in a construction zone (see the picture with the nail) and then it got rained on to boot. I'd be embarrassed to return it to a customer like this. They did load back into the car for me.

Kimps is more interested in providing parking for the Packer game than they are hardware products, and services for their (formerly) regular customers.. No problem! I placed my orders with Amazon and less than 24 hours later I have my merchandise... with free delivery! And another benefit of on line shopping? No instore impulse purchases.

Bought a self-propelled lawnmower from them a couple of years ago really not happy! The lever to go from bag to mulch is hard to get back and forth and I had the coil replaced last year , used it once and the coil doesn’t recoil again.Changed the plug, filter, oil and gas and won’t start! $500. Mower!!!

Brought in 2 car key blanks to be cut. Just standard car keys. Not the laser cut or cylindrical ones just standard american car keys. Didn't need them programmed or anything, just cut to match my current key. Guy refused to cut the keys. Said "I don't cut anything from off the street". WTH? I've heard numerous accounts of people bringing in their keys to ace and even getting them cut for free sometimes. I wasn't expecting that but I at least expected some service. No luck. Its like they really don't wanna miss out on that $5 for a key blank or something. Doesn't make any sense to me. You're getting even less money out of me by refusing service. I'll be going to a different location from now on. You'd think to expect better service from an independently owned store like this but what do I know. What's next they're gonna stop servicing any equipment that wasn't bought there? Way to do business.

Paint department rocks! Mallory went above and beyond! They didn't have enough of a specific paint that I was looking for. She called and located the other gallons I needed at a different store. Then she herself ran to that store and brought it back for us!

Brought my chainsaw in to get looked at because it wouldn’t start. They looked at it and called me but when I went to call back was when everyone’s phones and power was out due to heavy wind so I messaged on Facebook. They told me the price and I agreed to have them fix. Well after not hearing back and the need for it went away for the winter I remember about it. I messaged again on Facebook cause that’s where I was talking to them and they said it was thrown out. I guess they “called” to see what I wanted done to it. I never got a call and I’m guessing they fixed it and sold it. So just watch out if you’re bringing stuff in to get repaired. I would go somewhere else that maybe isn’t so busy so they can better keep track of your stuff.They will block you on social media cause they are crooks. Take your items and throw them out and blame you.

No Can do effort in the Power Equipment area! I used to like this place until I had an issue with my brand new Ariens snowblower. The oil drain plug was seized or stripped and could not be removed. Tried vice grips and other methods to no avail. Stopped in to the Power Center and spoke to Kiley about the problem. His remedy was to wait until fall. I was told that they were too busy now to deal with my problem. I asked about a replacement stem and cap so I could have the machine ready for next winter. Maybe a longer one could be available. His response was that was custom work at $100.00 per hour. His solution was to give me a number for Ariens customer service which was not even the correct number. I had to look up the number myself. I then called Ariens. Fortunately, Ariens was very accommodating and sent out the replacement parts. I would have liked more of a can do attitude from the person at Ace rather than just attitude. Very very disappointed. Most likely will not be purchasing any more power equipment from them if this is how they do business after the sale.
