We started with puppy play time on Saturdays. We watched our shy puppy become social and confident. Six years later we love Golrusk and have sent our dog there for daycare and boarding. She leaps off the couch when she hears the word "daycare." She's safe, they interact with the dogs and I know she's safe.

I love the job this location does on grooming. They even have rewards for grooming. Pay for 12 groomings. get one freeSadly , I just brought my 2 dogs to their more than 7th monthly grooming, and only now did they even mention the reward program. There is no offer to look back at the last 6 months either. 😢Hope you all ask for a rewards card for yourselves.Update: after a year of pre-scheduling my dogs grooming for the first sat and asking in November to schedule me.for the next year out. WITHOUT ANY WORD OF THAT BEING A PROBLEM.I find my self in this situation. They call last week to reschedule my grooming because they are overbooked. Agreeably rescheduled to today but called due to weather. Was just going to wait till next first next Saturday asked them to confirm my next appointment. I'm no where to be found. And they are booked for next two months on my preferred.day. some would say that it's just a day but I'm actually booked pretty solid on weekends due to family, volteering and work. It's very unfortunate that after a year I need to look elsewhere.Lesson to be learned don't trust the staff to do what you ask.Check recheck and triple.check. especially if you depend on your scheduled appointments. Goodluck now off to find a new groomer and kennel.

We love Golrusk! Our pup has stayed with them for as long as 2 weeks and has always been well cared for.Grooming services are also excellent! From a simple nail trim to a full wash and trim.

Been taking our girl there for Fun Camp/Day Care 1x/week since she was a baby. She also attended Puppy Kindergarten, which was great. She LOVES the staff and I can tell they truly care about her. Originally went with Golrusk because they do not discriminate against bully breeds, which I appreciate, having a rescue pittie mix. I cannot say enough about the staff and their care and love towards our pup! They post a slew of pictures from camp every day and it is always the highlight of my day to see my girl having fun and getting energy out! A true life-saver :)

My Labrador Retriever puppy attends daycare every week, and he absolutely loves it. When we pull into the parking lot, he’s practically jumping out of the windows with excitement! When I pick him up at the end of the day, he’s totally exhausted, so I know he’s had a great time. The staff at the East side location are so friendly, and it’s obvious they really love dogs.

Had to board our rescue dog because I needed surgery. Not knowing if she would behave in a kennel was a fear for sure. The staff was great in making sure all the dogs were safe and could play nicely together. They made great decisions for her when I was not available. Great people, great care for my pet

Our dog has been boarded there many times. He was also groomed there regularly. We also purchase his in Invisible Fence collar batteries there.The employees love dogs! The take great care of our pet.

I’ve used Golrusk East for boarding 3 or 4 times now and been doing basic training for about 5 weeks with them. The training has been really helpful to get my dog exposure to other dogs in a controlled environment. The reason I’m giving 3 out 5 stars in because of my last boarding experience. I had to travel for work for 6 days and when I called to set up the boarding I told the person on the phone the date and that I would like him to have the same set up as he had before (can look up in records: suite with 2 extra playtimes). My dog has aggression towards other dogs (they know) so I wanted a quieter spot where he wouldn’t feel too much stress from other dogs. Granted, I did not say this explicitly and I do take responsibility for that, however the lady on the phone obliged and said they were good to go (she never reviewed anything with me prior to hanging up-which I thought was odd, but I just assumed they got it since he’d stayed in the past). When I dropped him off, the lady was short with me also did not review the terms of his stay with me, but there was a line and some other people in the store, so again, I assumed she got everything right even though I had a bad feeling about it. When I picked him up, I was then told he was put in a kennel and had diarrhea, enough for them to stop giving him the food I packed and swap for a bland diet. His diarrhea was going on for 3-4 days (they never called me to tell me). I then had to take him to the emergency vet that evening because he had blood in his stool and was extremely stressed out. I have no doubt they wanted to take care of my dog, but I just think there were some administrative aspects that should be better. I do really like this place, but I am hesitant to bring my dog back there for boarding again.

UPDATE: NOT ONLY ARE OUR DOGS SICK, MY DOG HAS A SORE ON HIS ELBOW FROM LAYING ON CONCRETE, AND THEY FAILED TO APPLY THE 20% DISCOUNT FOR FIRST TIME BOARDERS.Was gone 8 days and our dogs contracted aggressive kennel cough despite being thoroughly vaccinated. Vet appointments were made THE DAY we picked them up from the east side Golrusk, and confirmed there was no way our dogs weren't hacking up a storm for some time. Golrusk files incident reports in case of illness/accident and apparently none were filed, which tells me our dogs didn't get the attention I was expecting based on reviews from others. If your dog is I'll they're supposed to contact the vet, and none were called. Extremely disappointed and wish somebody would have called, we're now dealing with two very ill furbabies and it could have been avoided/dealt with sooner.Customer service just said "We have no incident reports, sorry." Very unhelpful and makes the situation even more frustrating.

Whether we had our dogs groomed or boarded, Golrusk was always professional and did a fantastic job. They also have great obedience training classes. They were fun for the dog and the owner. I highly recommend! We also took advantage of funcamp for our high energy dog.... She had so much fun and she was tired at the end of the day. That was great for her and for us!

We have taken our dogs here for a number of years and find it to be a great place to go for just about everything dog related. I have to say though that it's the staff that makes it what it is.We have used their puppy play group and found it a wonderful way to acclimate our pups to other dogs. Their training programs have, over the years and various dogs, been good for everything from the basics to problem dogs. Boarding here is reasonable, comfortable for the dogs and they have every amenity you could hope to spoil your dog with.What we have used most with our French Mastiffs is the dog play groups and fun camps. They have large and small dog days as well as mixed groups on occasion I believe. We have found these dog play days a great way to get our dogs some time at play with other dogs in a controlled environment and they always come home tired to the bone!They have a fully stocked pet store as well as installing the invisible fence system, neither of which I've any experience with but it's available. All in all I'd say these folks are a great place to board your dog and if you want to get your dog some socialization and have them worn out at the end of the day, bring them to Golrusk's dog fun camps!

I haven't even been here yet but the care I received over the phone was amazing! We're in a "homeless" situation while we close on our house & we couldn't bring our sweet cat with us & they were so understanding and accommodating! Without them idk what we would have done!

Golrusk in general is such a unique place in the way they interact with our pets’ individual needs. The staff at Golrusk fosters a great "get to know your dog and their personality" environment. My dogs participate in many wonderful activities at Golrusk, including Ultimate Daycare.The Ultimate program is a very unique day long, small dog group training class. Our 1 1/2-year-old learns something different every week. Ultimate gives him mental stimulation and physical exercise. When I pick him up at the end of the day, it’s so fun to read the "Here's what I did today" card and to see the pictures and videos of what they worked on that day. He always comes home tired and happy!

I recommend Golrusk to anyone who has grooming, boarding or daycare needs. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, greeting my dog by name every day, and knowing when I go to pick him up. I feel 100% comfortable anytime he is under their care!

Our dog loves going to Golrusk, and I believe he receives good care on both the boarding and grooming side. BUT, I’m so fed up with their awful customer service that I have decided to bring our new puppy some place else for grooming. Over the past few months, they have made multiple errors when I have made a phone appointment. This wouldn’t be so frustrating if they would admit they possibly could have a mistake, but instead the workers always blame me, never apologize, and never try to figure out a solution. Most recently, they told me I had the wrong day for our grooming appointment and claimed that I scheduled the appointment on a milestone birthday when I will be out of town. There is no possible way I would have scheduled a grooming appointment when I will be out of town for my birthday (We are living through a pandemic and haven’t gone anywhere in months- it’s a big deal). Again, if the worker had just said, “I’m so sorry someone must have entered the wrong week/day. Let me see what I can do to accommodate you.” or even “I’ll add you to our cancellation list.” I would have been appeased, but instead the worker rudely blamed me and said if I couldn’t bring the dog on my birthday, there weren’t any appointments for almost a month. Customer Service 101: “The customer is always right, even when they are wrong.”

Very happy with Golrusk. Have boarded our dog at other facilities, but she came home lethargic and timid. When we picked her up from Golrusk she was her usual self. Had her groomed while being boarded and was the first time we had positive feedback on how she handled the nail trimming. Will definitely be back.

I brought my cat Ellie here when my family traveled out of town for a week. With it being the first time that we've been away from her I was anxious. My review is Mixed - First I would like to say that I really like the Invisible Fencing that we purchased through your west side store. We also liked the Invisible Fencing staff both the gentleman who installed our fencing and the lady who trained Roscoe with the fencing - 5 stars to them, great job guys & thank you!Secondly I would also like to say that although we have had Roscoe at your East Pet Care Center a few times without problems we are NOT pleased with the last visit to your facillity. He had what looked like two bite marks on him, one on the inside of his leg, the other on his lip. When asked by my daughter who picked him up for us why he had an injury on his lip the response was they did not know and had not noticed. That is not an acceptable response especially since we did pay extra for two daily private playtimes while he was there, so how could you NOT notice?

They did not tell us that our dog would be spending all of its time alone in a kennel. They let the dogs out every 2 hours to go to the bathroom and get fresh air. That our dog would not have any time to play with other dogs. The only way they allow new dogs to play with other dogs if they have to be evaluated and ours could not be evaluated as it was a Friday drop off. In addition they don't allow play time with dogs on the weekends anyway. You have to pay for extra play time with a human at $5 for 20 minutes.

I absolutely adore Golrusk - they are a Godsend! I am the proud doggie mom of a 6 year old Cockapoo (Greta) & a 2 year old daschund/terrier mix (Lucy). Greta had one bad grooming experience when she was younger & it scarred her to the point where I would have to medicate her anytime she needed to be groomed. Theresa at Golrusk is SO patient & kind and does a fabulous job with Greta. She doesn't come home traumatized for days after grooming like she used to. We are SO thankful we were able to find such a caring & talented groomer at such a reasonable price. And Lucy also loves the doggie daycare! :-)
