Went to Germantown Menards on the way home picked up a few items in the store before going to find the contractors desk. stood in line waiting for an associate to either finish up with his customer or hoping someone else would show up to help, 4 computer stations 1 guy. There was a younger man in the rear pick up area said he would page someone else to help, but no one ever did show up. Finally 20 minutes later (which seemed like hours ) he finished up and was able to help.Got my drywall slip went to check out great I’m on my way to the back.I now get to the gate where you have to scan yourself, in bad sign drive around to the back till I find the drywall no one any where to be found now I’m 66 years ld and they expect me to load my own drywall ,I take my time get it loaded I now have 1.5 hours invested it was the worst experience I have ever had at an home improvement store might have to eliminate Menards and stick with the competition.

I went around 9:40am and even though it was busy we got assisted within 30 min. Staff was also very nice and helpful. Just don't use their bathrooms 😉

Hard getting help. Young adult staff are oblivious to searching customer. Pack of 3 converse amongst themselves as they walk by a customer 90 minutes before weekend closing. Eye contact ignored or isn't trained by management. Earpiece, 2-way radio, half tuned out, better to put in basket online before stepping on floor

After having a few bad experiences at the Brown Deer Menards, I decided to take a chance on the Germantown Menards last weekend. As I was checking out, I discovered that my rebate had fallen out of my pocket sometime during my shopping excursion. The cashier asked me if I wanted to go look for my rebate, so I did, but to no avail. I knew my rebate was gone, and I decided the universe was probably telling me to take a break from Menards for a while. This weekend, a Menards envelope showed up in my mailbox. I opened it only to find my rebate! I can't believe they mailed it back to me, which was so awesome and unexpected. They restored my faith in humanity.

Management here is unbelievably rude. Making rude comments about me returning things. Dominic B definitely shouldn't be in customer service if he's going to make rude comments.

This store desperately needs conveyer belts at the check out areas. Smdh. No where to put ur shopping items. Cashiers are limited on their counter space, enough to write on a piece of paper. Ridiculous... But the store was clean and the employees were friendly and helpful.

Went to Menards today in we seen a large Unicorn bear on sale. The price rung up full price. We present the picture of the products with the price. The workers saw it and instead of the manager Kandy honoring the price like any other store. The manager had an attitude in refused to honor it. Something so petty that was the stores error. This evening I went to this location looking for grando 2 lumen 10 pack of solar stakes lights. I was fortunate to have found the last box, but it was obvious that it had been opened/returned and was missing 3 lights. (It was taped on the sides using scotch tape). I looked around the isles to make sure I wasn't missing something. I went to the cashier (Gretchen), and she called her manager. Dominick, who replaced Jon, is who I was told he was. I asked if he'd be able to lower the price due to the missing lights. He said the best he could do was $5 off. Now the brand new in pack is $25 for 10. Making each one $2.50. I told him it didn't make sense. Because even with $5 off. For 7 stakes, it was $2.80 each for an opened package. He stated there wasn't anything he could do because " I have a quota to meet." Ultimately, I left with the last pack of grando 1 lumen pack of 10, making each light $2.50. I would've ofc rather have the 2 lumen which is brighter. The experience left me feeling perplexed and confused that the customer would end up paying more for an open and missing item to meet the managers quota.

Kevin (general manager/germantowm wisconsin) was extremely unhelpful and rude. When I asked to speak with someone who was above him he laughed a bit and said "there's no one above me".. it's very unfortunate that when you have a complaint regarding service there is no one you can talk to. I will definitely be posting this concern to all my social media platforms (153k followers)

Went to Menards today for wall anchors. There were about 5 of them under a tag that said $2.98 yet they came up at $7.98. We asked for a price check and a very rude employee, Tony called back for a price check and informed us we must've grabbed the wrong product. Then cut my girlfriend off mid sentence and proceeded to just giggle/chat with three other employees. Very disappointed in how they handled something so petty that was the stores error.

Today I needed help with 10 bags of river rock. I asked for help but wasnt sure anyone would show up so I started to load and a young employee named Andrew came over and said I will get it. That's too heavy for you. That's is why i am here. It took him 5 minutes and I was on my way. Very polite and helpful.great service.

They are consistent. Can’t beat the amount and variety of products offered. But their refusal to let people decide for themselves about Covid masking bothered many of us. If masks work, let people wear them and feel safe in doing so. If they work, stop looking and treating unmasked people like monsters. You should be safe behind your mask right? They have a right to require mask usage, and I have choice in where I shop, which is not here if I can help it.

As a newcomer in the area who recently built their own brand new home, I came into Menards of Germantown looking for some sodium chloride for my driveway as I cannot use normal salt on my new construction home. I am new to the area and wanted to check out one of the smaller local hardware stores to be supportive of my new community. The store was much bigger than I expected and I could not find what I was looking for. I proceeded to go to the help desk or return center and asked for help. The young blonde woman at the return desk (I saw her cashiering later on) was very rude and said that she did not know where the item was. I asked her if she would be able to ask a nearby manager to assist me and she responded she 'technically could not help me because she was on break." As a first time customer into the store that was planning to spend tends of thousands of dollars here on my new home construction I assure you this will be my LAST time in the store and I will be sure to also inform the rest of my neighbors building new homes as well of my experience. If I could give less than one star I would.

Returning rug Doctor cleaner. I was not ready for the scrutiny but I should have been the one to clean off the extra lint and stuff before taking it in. Fortunately I was not charged extra but I spent an excessive amount of time cleaning it better than it was received. The kindness was appreciated.

Always busy, no one knows where anything is. There are no prices on a lot of stuff on the shelves and there are hardly any cashiers working and no self check out lanes, you’ll be waiting in line for a long time.

Male team member behind Customer Service Desk assisted me with finding totes immediately in two areas. Very knowledgeable and aware. Save me alot of time and i even grab stuff i didn't need. Moving so the assistance was very appreciated. I bought (8) of the 30 gallon totes. Thanks

Can I just say wow, how awful. The first employee I asked help for was for a piece for a pocket door and her was response was “over by millwork“. I advised her I didn’t know where millwork was. She then pointed it’s in the back of the store. I also began speaking to another employee to help find an additional item and a another coworker comes and interrupts my conversation and started talking to her. I waited a moment to see if it was something important. It was not. So I interjected with excuse me, I was speaking to her. The young man was rude and walked away. The young women did apologize for him after he left. Finally, when I was checking out, my daughter and I had both our items in one cart. The cashier said we could just leave her items in the cart. as I had quite a few items I expected the cashier to check me out why my daughter grabbed her two items and went to another register and checked out . The cashier was again rude and stated she could’ve just left them in the cart. And I get advised, “or she can check out in another lane”.This was the worst customer service I have ever had at Menards. I will go to a different location from now on

I needed some all black latex gloves and soon as you get there I noticed what I thought was a entrance into the store was an ONLY exit. So, I had to walk to the other side to get in. I was greeted by a young lady at the customer service desk. And I asked her where I could find some. She radio it in and was able to tell me. When I shop I like to know where it is fast so I am in and out. I felt like she helped me accomplish that 😁👌

This is the worst establishment that I’ve ever been at. I ordered new carpet for my house that I liked so much. I also ordered padding to go under the carpet. They lady told me that this will be held for you, saying that they will hold it for me. I come to pick it up the day before going on vacation, so of course had a couple of busy days. I then get to Menards to pick up my carpet and padding. I was told that they could not give me the things that they told me that they were able to hold for me. I asked for a general Manager. They came out and told me that they checked stock, and there is no more available. I then asked, since I was told that I was able to have the carpet held, I asked, “Why was I told that I could get it, and it was all in stock, when someone told me that I could pick it up, and it would be there for me?” The general manager Andy was incompetent. I said, “ I was told that it would be here, now I’m going on vacation and I have a guy installing it on Saturday. What am I supposed to do? Then do you have someone that is higher then you?” He responds with, “I can write down the customer service number.” I responded with, “that would be great.” This is the worst establishment, and do not recommend this to anyone. Their customer service is the worst, and have highly incompetent people. If you want something done right, I would highly recommend going to another establishment.
