I bought my first house around 2.5 years ago, and Menard's has been incredibly helpful. I have spent somewhere between $15,000-$20,000 here in the last 30 months, finishing my basement, updating fixtures, re-roofing my garage, and so many other projects necessary for a first home built in 1914. Even still, the thing that sparked this review is the update to their in-store tracking app, of all things.When I bought my house and started frequenting this store, I couldn't find anything. It was a huge place, and the app didn't have products in the correct place, and even when it did, it only showed locations by department. When looking for a specific tool, pipe fitting, or other item, it could take half an hour. My wife hated coming to Menard's with me. This year, the app was updated with not only aisle locations, but even what section of the aisle an item was located. It makes finding things so much easier, and I have yet to come across something located incorrectly. My wife is actually willing to come to Menard's with me and has even gone by herself! (That's a bigger deal than it seems because she used to absolutely refuse to go with me. My 3 year old loves Menard's because of the racecar cart. Really, my only complaint is that there is only one of those, so it's rarely available when we go. In addition to the app, the associates are always happy and willing to help.For every large project, there are always questions, and Google doesn't have that hands-on knowledge and experience that the Menard's associates do. I have been stumped by problems several times, only to ask a store associate for their opinion and receive a better answer than anything I'd found online. I'd never done plumbing, electrical, flooring, or any other construction related work other than roofing before purchasing the house. Thanks to my dad and Menard's associates, I now can do all of those with a lot more confidence.Their 11% rebate system is phenomenal when it's active, but their pricing is definitely competitive even without it. Friendly staff, knowledgeable associates at the help desk, a great app, and affordable pricing make Menard's a great store. Now that the largest of my home projects are done, I will be cutting back on my Menard's spending for a while. I will still go, but my receipts should hopefully go from hundreds or thousands of dollars to tens. 😂The pictures are of my downstairs bathroom. It may not look like much, but the downstairs was completely unfinished concrete when I bought the house, so the electrical, plumbing, walls, flooring, and everything was done using Menard's materials. So is the rest of the basement, but I didn't feel like putting picture up of my whole house. 😕

Horrible store. Time to put up Christmas tree, all sold out, Christmas table runner, all sold out. It's not even December yet and they are not getting new ones in, WHAT? Customer service was a joke, one person for a line of 5. Waited 15 minutes and still the line did not move. Horrible store!

Still requiring people to wear a mask. With asthma, a mask compromises my O2 levels.6/26. I went to menards and had my mask only across my mouth. An employee told me that I had to cover my nose. I was in the gardening area, which has garage doors open to the outside. Plenty of fresh air. Since I didn't want to have a heart attack I chose to leave. He said that he only has 1 1/2 lungs and they are required to wear masks for 12 hours.

Got a troy built lawn mower last year and liked it so got another, nice mowers but went back this year to get air filters and no one know anything about last year's all new again, sell things that you people are all discontinued or are they seconds

Very good for mechanics or for decoration for outside and inside. Has a wide range of products. Everything thing from gas and oil to mashed potatoes. They even have food, books, art supplies, and drinks even medical supplies like band-aids and peroxide.

First you have to scan product and down load on app and then rescan to pick up product. What happened to costumer service. Don't have a smart phone. What happened to costumer service. Asked for help loading and no one showed up. To busy standing around looking like their busy.

I went to Menard's in Fond du lac, Wi today, feeling desperate. My tomatoes are rotting on the bottom. I talked to a staff member in the garden dept. whose name was Juli. I learned SO much from her and she showed me what to purchase. She said tomatoes need calcium. I want to compliment her and make it known how helpful she was. Thank you to Juli😊

Nice selection and great prices on almost everything! Wish they would have smaller, scaled furniture. Too many large pieces! Not everybody has a large space to put them in. Other than that, I usually find everything I need there!

I needed to get a handle for a wood stove brush that I previously purchased and an associate from a different department went to find someone who could answer my questions. I was very grateful, as I didn't know what was what about this. Plus she was able to to me where to find the other items I was looking for. Overall it was a good experience today. They had all the item I was looking for. No masks are required. Plus 11% off.

Many people have been to Menard's and know what they offer. For those who haven't been there, you get 100's of items. Plumbing, light fixtures, Holiday stuff, some groceries including frozen food. Refrigerators, tubs, toilets. Work clothes, tools and gloves. Menard's has most things that I use. And they offer 11% off with a mail-in rebate several times a year. My wife shops here often as well. See for yourself and Happy shopping 😃 !!

I never get good service here. Today was the worst I went to the front desk to ask about masks for fiberglass protection he sent us to the hardware desk claiming he called in. Once we arrived at the desk the lady tending waked away and we sat there for 10 minutes. We went back to report it at the front desk and got snapped at by the same guy he even claimed he told us what spacific mask to use but he didn't. How rude being ignored at the the hardware desk has not been an isolated incident either. Stay away from here when possible.

In and out quickly. Always a checkout available! I think this is the only place in town where you don't wait 20 minutes in the checkout. Friendly, helpful staff. Other retailers could learn a lot from Menards.

I feel Mennards falls short in regards to their customers lately. One incident that really upset me was when I grabbed a small container of paint and the one next to it fell. The cover popped off and splattered paint all over my shoes and clothes. The clerk told me to file a claim so I did. Mennards came back saying that they would not cover replacement of my shoes and clothes. Said they were not liable. I really didn't feel it was my fault. When I wrote back to appeal I received a letter from their attorney saying if I contact them again it will be considered harassment. I really wish we could get some competition in FDL as I would like to give my business elsewhere.

Liking Menards more and more lately. Employees are helpful and knowledgeable in their departments. The store is well organized, clean and well lit. Shelves are stocked with what you came for. The stock yard is the same outside. One huge thing that I love is the sale price is automatic and for everyone. No apps, coupons or selecting some electronic offer and fumbling with your phone at checkout. The 11% rebate system has been simplified.

Don't think about showing up without a mask. Vaccine or not they are all kinds of strict. I'd like lower prices instead of having to mail in a rebate every single time I go. They make it out like it's a special sale with an expiration soon, but they always have the rebate program. Call it what it is.

I was VERY disappointed with almost ALL of the employees, and my experience as a whole. Would give one star, but of the 10 people I asked or help, ONE of them actually seemed interested in helping me out. I went to the store to get materials for crafting, I'm unfamiliar with the store, so I had to ask a few different employees for directions. None of them answered politely, in fact, I was treated as though I was the biggest burden for simply asking a quick question or for advice on a product. Eventually I had to ask another SHOPPER for help picking out a hand sander! when I got to the check out, I was making small talk with the cashier. I said " I swear, I only intended to get sandpaper!" The cashier LITERALLY rolled her eyes and said "I could tell." I was shocked by how blatantly rude everyone was! I've worked in retail for many years, so I go out of my way to be polite to people that have to work with the public. Unfortunately, I wasn't given the same courtesy.On a good note, I was able to find everything I was looking for at a reasonable price. Although, I would have been out of the store 30 minutes earlier. if I had found an employee with basic customer service skills. The store was also very clean.I think I will be doing my shopping at Lowes or Ace Hardware in the future

We went to Menards to find a new snow shovel and to get ice melt the store was stocked with the items we needed at the price we wanted to pay. this is an older store but it is kept up reasonably well. The staff was busy trying to restock after Black Friday they are usually friendly and willing to help you or direct you to someone who can .

On Black Friday, Emily first assisted me in locating an item and then offered to go to the Garden Dept. to locate a 2nd item that was not in its usual location in the store just to save me the hassle of getting through the crowds. She went above and beyond what would be expected. Her cheerful willingness to help was very much appreciated.

Usually the employees are very helpful. Late this afternoon, however, I needed paint mixed. No one was in the paint department, although there were three employee names on their board but none were around. An employee from another department made a call and a young lady came to mix my paint. She acted like I was being a big bother to her and that that was the last place she wanted to be. If there was a Home Depot or a Lowe's in FdL I would gladly go there instead.

The staff is helpful and friendly. Prices are good. I hate the bathroom though only some urinals flush, the toilets splash bowl water on the seats and their is nothing to dry hands with. The air dryers take forever and I always dry them on my pants. I spend about 15,000 a year here and that's an insult to me.

Got to the checkout and the cashier said she was not able to check me out unless I was wearing a mask. This does not happen at Lowe's or home depot. So, thank you, Karina, for encouraging me not to visit the Fond Du Lac store again.

Crazy busy today. Thought day after Black Friday would be better. Was impressed that they had the store well staffed to handle the crowd. Almost every checkout open and still people to help you in the store.
