I’ve been here for hiking and snowshoeing quite a few times, and camped and visited the observatory on a field trip as a kid. There is a lot of cool stuff for kids in general but I’ve stuck to trails. Definitely will be back here for cross country skiing soon, or even back for more snowshoeing since there are a lot of trails to cover and the two winter areas are separate. Will likely update during summer also.

I thought this was amazing and much bigger than many of the nature centers I’ve been to before. Actually there are facilities on both sides of the road. But you don’t have to cross the road because they have a tunnel under the road going between the campuses.There are several picnic tables where you could have a picnic. And lots of trails.It’s only about 20 minutes east of Eau Claire, well worth a visit. I was so impressed I ended up becoming a member.

Beautiful area, but I think we came at the wrong time of year. The butterfly house had no netting, and no butterflies. The center was closed, so we didn't get to look around in there at all. And the bird feeders were empty, so no birds.The grounds were very nice though. Lots of things for kids to do. Nice trails, stairs, and boardwalks. It looks like there's a very nice sitting area for telling stories around a fire.We'd have to come back another time to see the inside, and hopefully some birds and butterflies.Possibly some Pokestops here, but bad reception for us, so not 100%.

We had the best time visiting today! The butterfly house and music (on the trail) were a big hit with my toddler. The staff both inside and in the green house were kind, informative and fun. We can’t wait to come back this summer, and into all Wisconsin’s changing seasons!

Some parts are great, great area, some spots have 0 trail maintenance however and are nearly impossible to navigate, if I knew that I may have skipped my second visit to their Southern campus.

Great experience. Took the grandkids there. Lots to see & do. The butterfly house was wonderful & the staff very friendly & knowledgeable. Other activities for the kids to see & do like the music garden which we loved. Fun for all age groups & different left brain/right brain activities. One of those places where the kids have fun learning.

We just left today, our first experience was my twins birthday party! It was wonderful! It's so easy for the mom and dad. There's so much to do you don't have to come up with games. Makes it easier. it's such a beautiful place, we intend to get the family package. So we can come and go through every season as we please. It's really amazing here!

Awesome place to take the kids. There is so much to see and learn in the nature center. The butterfly house is cool. The hiking trails are well maintained and there's really cool areas outside created to climb, play and explore.

Please visit if you have the chance! Talk about being environmentally friendly and a place for all ages to enjoy! I took my daughters hiking here and we had a blast. Some of the trails are a little confusing so be sure to grab a free map at the nature center.

I love this place. Always have. But we went there and the head person bringing us around the trail was extremely rude to my 6 year old son which is not okay. For that reason I do not believe I would return if it’s a day this lady was working. She made me extremely disappointed and hurt my sons feeling on top of that. If we had a different person who wasn’t rude, I would give it a 5 star for sure.

This is a great place to go and hike. Also, there is great outdoor and new indoor things for kids of all ages to do. I highly recommend a visit. Some of the trails get a little grown over, so bring some good off trail boots and pants.

Great faciliry for outdoor studies of all kinds. Nice new indoor facility for classes with a new Discovery and Butterfly room. Awesome staff!!
