Beautiful setting and views of the bay. We spent every night on the private beach which has chairs, loungers, gas fire places, a stone beach, and a sand beach. Beautiful sunset views. Breakfast was much more extensive than expected and tasty. The most wonderful inside pool and hot tub as well. The pool was very warm and a perfect way to end the day. The afternoon free wine and cheese was also appreciated as was the free microwave popcorn! Nice location as well, able to walk to pretty much everywhere in town.

Location was great with a private beach. They have a wine, cheese and cracker welcome everyday after check in. (we came too late to enjoy). Room was a woods view and it was not bad at all. The only issue was the bed was very uncomfortable. Woke up many times stiff and sore. Had to get out of bed to just stretch as I was stiff as heck! Definitely did not wake up well rested. That’s where the lost star came from. Pool and hot tub were nice.

The Pine Grove is located in Ephraim and has the perfect small beach to dip feet in or go swimming! We love the family owned vibe and old school hospitality which is getting harder to find! Chocolate chip cookies and wine hour are hard to pass up! Rooms are clean and the partial water views are amazing. Breakfast is also well stocked with options! The best part are the amazing sunsets!

The lady who runs this place is just an exceptional woman. With the constant flow of new people, kids, and all the stresses that come with a normal hotel setting, not to mention one in Door County, it's not unusual for your service workers to let you know that they aren't thrilled to help you, you are not any different than everyone else and they sometimes seem irritated that you are happy to be there!!! Not here....This lady, I wish I got her name, was lovely, kind, helpful, and seemed very genuine about it all. Even saw us getting back just after she locked up for the night and checked to make sure we had our keys to get into the building. Just a sweet lady. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is nobody's fault, so it may be a touch unfair, but the price of the rooms are just way too high...not any higher than all the resorts in Door County, but the lodging situation in all the County is just crazy high. I get it. Like everyone else, I know this going in. I just think it's crazy.Rooms: Very clean. Just enough space..not too much where the room feels empty, yet enough space for everything and you don't feel crowded. Comfortable.Nearby activities: Everything is within 25 minutes, driving. And whether you're driving along the lake or in the country, they're all relaxing and scenic drives.

For $263 a night, my kid should not be chastised for taking 2 chocolate chip cookies from the front desk. "Only one pet customer!" For $263 a night, they should be bringing trays of cookies to our room every night on golden trays balanced on the back of a camel draped in silks. And bells. Lots of bells. Lots of bells, camels, and cookies.

I travel for a living and I'm usually leery of staying in hotels that aren't national chains. I was pleased to find our room in immaculate condition (if a bit dated). Staff was friendly. Parking was a little lacking on a sold-out night (I ended up having to park in the grass when we got back late from a show), but otherwise, there's not much else negative to report. The hotel is within walking distance of several great meal options. I'd stay again.

We stayed there for my sister's wedding and the staff could not have been more nice and genuinely wanted to get to know you while you stayed. The breakfast options are good limited but vast variety and the view from their little spot on the lake is absolutely amazing and sunset. A 10/10 would recommend, also check out the pool and hot tub!

Room was very comfortable and bathrooms were recently updated. Balcony had nice seats and a nice view of the lake. Breakfast included juices, bagels, Jimmy Dean sandwiches, muffins and much more. Everything was individually wrapped for sanitary reasons. There was a nice gas grill and fireplace across from the hotel that was a nice touch. There is no longer a private beach as the water levels have risen. Only negative would be the exterior carpeting could be cleaned or redone, but overall a great place to stay!

Staff not very pleasant. Room had lots of blemishes. Breakfast was best experience of the stay. Food out after 30 minutes not refilled. Expensive. TV was very washed out, no way to adjust. Refrigerator whistled all night. Bathtub built-in shelves hurt legs when showering. No private beach as advertised. Corvette club had loud engine noises. Would not recommend.

We moved to the lower level suite after the first night. The first room with a "water view" was fine, but once you have stayed in their suite, you are hooked. The pool is always clean, but the floor around it could have used a scrub. No big deal though. The hot tub is awesome. The staff is super friendly, and attentive. There is a breakfast area that was updated a couple years back. You can grab some standard "free breakfast" items, or make pancakes. The private beach area is PERFECT for the famous sunsets over Green Bay. They have a nice pier, gazebo, and chairs along the water. Each night, we hurried back to catch the sunset. It was worth the trouble. It's quiet at night, and the rooms are clean.

Loved watching sunsets from the private lake access with screened room located across the street from the resort! Older building. Bathroom was updated nicely w/walk-in shower etc. Late shift front desk staff was very rude about pool closing at 10pm. Not worth the price we paid for a last minute weekend.

We had a very nice room. Its was clean & roomy. It included a refrigerator, microwave & coffee maker. Also had complimentary bottled water & popcorn pack. We had our own patio with a view of the lake across the street. Breakfast included the basic continental with sausage sandwiches and waffle maker. A friendly staff and very helpful. Indoor pool & hot tub. I can't wait to go back.

Very nice property with great lakefront location and balcony rooms. We really enjoyed the watching the sunsets along the lake next to the firepit. Grab and go breakfast had more options than most properties and really appreciated the complementary snacks, popcorn, and water.

Good: Nice clean place with great balcony view of the lake. Especially great at sunsets! Staff very accommodating and friendly. Cons: breakfast was grab and go without much selection. Bathrooms way too small.

Great vacation stay. The décor is a bit older but the hotel is very well maintained. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The warm cookies in the afternoon was a nice touch. I can't stress enough how clean the entire resort was. Would stay again.

My first time in door county. This is a great location. Right by the Anderson barn/hardy gallery. Water front access ...has a sitting area across the street with firepit..grill...indoor screened seating and outdoor chairs by the water. Rooms are a decent size..larger than anticipated. Theres a balcony and they are clean and comfortable. The shower is a bit outdated.. unless you're a mermaid...or into shells... I have no complaints about this place...bed are comfy and staff is friendly. Its a 8 min drive to Sister Bay.

Wonderful location. 3 places to eat at within walking distance. Beautiful sunsets. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Bathrooms look like they were recently updated and very clean. We loved the balcony/deck. The only part lacking was the free breakfast but this may have fewer choices due to COVID. Would definately stay again. If looking for something to do, the Fish Creek segway tour was alot of fun!

When it comes to staying in Door County, my wife and I make it a point to stay here on longer trips. The staff is awesome and the location is even better. The rooms are always clean, the shower has actual hot water! We’ve stayed 3 times and will be going back for all of our DC trips. If you’re a night owl you can sit by the fireplace right on the water or take a quick walk next door to the ‘Art House’ and paint your name on the walls. Enjoy your stay, I know you will.

I fully enjoyed The Pine Grove Resort. The pool is incredible and the hot tub was warm! My only complaints are#2) When we arrived at 6:14pm there was no one at the front desk. There was a sign that said "We have stepped away, we will be right back" Be right back is apparently about 47 minutes. We tried ringing the desk bell and calling the phone... No luck. I wasn't upset because my wife and I had a nice conversation and just enjoyed the reception area so not a big problem.#1) For me this was a BIG deal. The TV in our room was tiny! I think it was a 24" it was SMALL! It also did not have a sleep timer and that's a problem for me because I like the TV on until I fall asleep. It is literally the only reason I couldn't stay here again. If you do not place a high value on a TV then this place is paradise and I highly recommend it..... Maybe other rooms had better TVs... I was in 217

Good value. Nice decent rooms. Charming. Great for a family on a budget and walking distance to a lot. Free grab and go breakfast in the morning. If you get lucky and have the money, book the family suite room that over looks the lake!

We were traveling with our 1.5 year old and this place was perfect for our night away. The room was very spacious, it fit our pack-n-play and didnt feel crowded. The breakfast in the morning was a nice touch. The location was great. We could see the sunset on the lake and walk to town for dinner. This young family will definately be back for future vacations!
