Nice little operation they have going on here, we stayed in the cozy brook. The location is fantastic and close to everything, especially Peninsula state park, but far enough away that the traffic doesn't bother you. The owner was very nice and seemed accommodating (We never tested this since nothing was needed).The only down side we experienced here was the water, the water heater (probably the anode rod) must've been bad because the hot water smelled (Was not dirty or discolored).All in all the stay was extremely cozy and I would recommend to anyone who wants a stay in Door county.

We rented three different cottages for our big family! We had a huge play area we were all adjacent too! The resort had grills, picnic tables and a beautiful fire pit are, as well as fun playground set up!!! It was a great family experience!!Walkability: Right across from the Ephraim Beach!! So easy to have the kids walk over, and so easy for the adults to bring their toys…kayaks etc!

Quintessential Door County Experience! My husband's family recently rented several cottages for a family reunion. The property's friendly host, proximity to beach and close-to-village yet quiet location were big pluses. This place is a gem.Nearby activities: Great central location on the Door County peninsula.Walkability: Ephriam waterfront, shops, historic sites, galleries and restaurants are all within walking distance.

We’ve come up to DC twice in the last two years and stayed at Ephraim Village Cottages both times. Daryl and Ruanne are incredibly accommodating and very helpful. We’ve found the cottages to be immaculate and we LOVE the location. With such a premier location (centrally located and walking distance from Ephraim Public Beach), you’d think the cost would be really high but I think their rates are incredibly reasonable. They even allow us to bring our dog so we can enjoy a lot of the outdoor activities Door County has to offer. Highly recommend!!

My sister and I have been coming here since the 80s and it is our all time favorite place to stay in all of Door County. Daryl and Ruann are wonderful owners and the cottages are Spotless!! Cozy and the grounds are wonderful.. you can sit out and star gaze to all hours as we have. It is our home away from home and we visit there every year. We stayed here for a mini vacation with our two dogs. The cabin is older but quaint and VERY clean. We have rented many places for vacations. This one is by far the cleanest I've ever stayed in. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Check in and check out were the easiest I've ever experienced. The owner, Daryl is really friendly. I would recommend this if your are looking for a quiet, clean yet very close to town place to stay.

Loved the cottages! We stayed at the Wee One for a week. It was clean and cozy. But the best part is we were in the heart of Ephraim yet we had this amazing fire pit where the guests congregate in the evenings right next to a kids playground (for day time). Daryl is very friendly and accommodating to all of the guests which is a plus in my book.

We rented the Bay View cabin over Labor Day weekend and we loved it. The cabin is very clean and it is situated perfectly between the public beach and the downtown area. It has huge lawn and it has a nice view on the upper deck. Pets area welcomed and the owner is a true dog lover.

We had a wonderful vacation at Ephraim Village Cottages. Our family stayed in Meadowview III and it was more than enough room for the 4 of us. We stayed for 3 nights and were happy with almost everything! The Wi-Fi was a little spotty. There is only one small air conditioner but we all still felt comfortable at night.My children are almost 4 and 5 and loved playing in the play area provided on the property.The owner went above and beyond also to help us get a campfire started for my kids and even let them have a ride in his golf cart!We also appreciated the board games, activity books and children's book in the unit. Our kids put them to good use!We loved how close it was to the beach and other fun attractions while still feeling secluded and private. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Door County!

My stay at Ephraim Village Cottages is once again a 10! There is no better located place on the peninsula for you, your kids and dog. The owners keep the cottages spotless and take great pride in their COVID-19 attention to details. It’s a 5-minute walk into the heart of Ephraim and the public beach is literally across the street. When it’s cooler, there is a great (socially distanced) bonfire on the grounds. Daryl and his team go the extra mile to ensure your stay is fabulous.I highly recommend Ephraim Village Cottages!!

We stayed at the Shady Rest South cottage (part of a duplex) during a week away from the crowds of Chicago during COVID times and we had a fantastic time here. Ephraim as a town is ideally located within Door County as it's a short drive to pretty much everywhere, and Ephraim itself is full of nice little restaurants and close to Peninsula State Park. The cottage provided anything we could have expected, with well supplied kitchen for self-catering (no food or spices provided, but all the pots, pans, bowls, and utensils for cooking, with a good stove and oven. The communal spaces in the cottage compound are amazing and likely the best part of this place, with free run of using BBQs, fire pit, swingset/playground, ample lawn space and a pop up lawn tennis court. Highly recommended for families especially, but also for couples looking for a lakeside home away from home.

Used to stay here when I was a kid... one week every summer. Used to be owned an run by the Larsons.. wonderful old couple that always made us feel welcome. Each cottage used to have its own name, we used to reserve the "In Between". Looks like updates to the old cottages have been done. Across the street is the village beach. Good memories! Reserve well in advance!

I wrote a bad review. Owner decided to text me and make a veil threat to me. I fear something is wrong with him but just my opinion given his text messages to me. I would not stay there again given I have a child. I took down the review after fear of retaliation but decided to warn others about the danger of the owner. He is now threatening legal action against me. This whole circumstance seems aggressive to me. I revised my post after legal action threat even though the wording should have been fine before as it is just my opinion. After further texts it has cemented further my previous opinion that the gentleman seems unstable to me.I hope he stops texting me soon I am very stressed out by this person. My wife is unbelievable nice person so wrote a review that reflected her personality. I had my own opinion of the place which was garbage cans outside overflowing and other unsanitary issues these comments are my opinion. I stand by my first review and only made subsequent changes to appease the owner out of fear. The place was fine when we left I don’t know what the owner did to it after we left and they charged a $50 cleaning fee so typically that means that the owner has the trash in the trashcan taken out. Regardless Their dumpsters were overflowing ( I couldn’t remove the trash due to that), we left dishes in the sink because no dishwasher and no drying rack we left towels where we thought they could easily remove them. Their were no instructions except the refrigerator stated the owner has dishes cleaned between visits and something about sanitation chemicals upon request. Even so he admitted dirty dishes in cabinets which would have been there prior to our arrival as we left the few dishes we use in sink. Really unsanitary in my opinion. Everything else they have written is false.I am very very stressed by his continuing to text me. I hope he leaves us alone last messages called me names. I keep updating my post to update people on the owners behavior and I hope it helps and warns people not go through the same ordeal we have been through with this individual. He keeps talking about my post updating when he updated his own AirBnb page to reflect his weird house rules just yesterday. I hope he leaves us alone I will keep updating to warn people of this individual. Supposedly his google reviews are good but in my opinion if you harass anyone who writes a bad review of course people will get fearful and take their bad review down. I did but then I felt I needed to warn people about the owner.Update again that is correct he did stop texting me finally last night. That is good. If I read his update reply correctly then he expects guests to clean the dishes and request sanitization solution and then leave them for next guests. We didn’t leave dirty dishes in cupboards so the dishes where dirty prior to our arrival? If true completely disgusting. Wisconsin health department should check into this if this is the case. The dumpsters were overflowing owner in my opinion should get them cleaned three times a week then not twice for multiple living units. Also he did text me that I am “a whiny little...” (Word that rhymes with witch) in his text messages. In my opinion that’s name calling and he lied about it. I screened shot a bunch of texts and you can see them on Instagram Facebook and other places. You can judge for yourself if he is harassing and unstable. I leave you with one last thought have you ever been to a hotel or other stay place where they require dishes be done with no dishwasher and no means to clean the dishes, Dumpster overflowing with trash so even if you want to you can’t take out the trash from trashcan and then they charge a $50 cleaning fee? I personally have never been to such a place until now. Hope this review helps prevent someone from going through same ordeal we went through.

Just to be totally honest, I have not stayed at the location. I have met the owner. He seemed very nice and a good businessman. So I'm leaving a review based off my impression of the owners. If I ever get some time off of work, I'd like to stay with them. Good luck!
