Great coffee shop and atmosphere! The owner is so friendly and knowledgeable. The coffee is roasted on site and fresh - he knows what he’s doing with excellent equipment! We ordered a pour over and americano, both were done 10/10!

So often you can't find good coffee when vacationing in small tourist towns. Just another great thing about door county is there's not only good coffee, but something to look forward to! Super efficient online ordering/pickup process during covid. But whenever it's possible, definitely go inside. The bar is a nice cozy spot to enjoy a cup.

From one roaster to another, thanks for a great cup of coffee. We had a pour over and it was delicious. Dosed perfect, balanced, bright, fruity cup of Costa Rica. You can tell this coffee was well roasted. It’s so refreshing to get a cup like this on our travels. Well done!!!

I never write reviews but thought this place should be called out. I paid $5.50 for this tiny sip of a latte that is barely the size of my hand. The online ordering system also doesn’t allow any customization and you can’t interact with the worker, even through the pick up window to give alternate instructions. As expected, my latte was way too sweet because I wouldn’t tell them to add less sugar.

Ephraim Coffee Lab may seem a bit hard to find. Located off Church Street in Ephraimin a nondescript white building next to so many other white buildings. It is well worth a visit to this little coffee shop...lab. most of the store is taken up by roasting equipment and not much space to sit, if it's busy, but grab a cup of joe to go and it'll be well worth it! I recommend a pour over or perhaps a smooth cold brew, but anything you order here will be worth it for a coffee lover!

On this cold Saturday morning I went to this lovely coffee shop. I sipped on a delicious mocha oat milk latte. I highly recommend stopping by and getting a coffee!

Takes time. No sitting room inside so it's a "to go" place. Will visit again. The roast I tried was bold but too bitter. He's thinking about opening on Tuesdays; open Wed thru Sun currently. Open until February then off for a few months.

It’s the only place to get coffee in the entirety of Ephraim. And it’s also one of the only businesses on the entire peninsula to not update their hours as “closed” for Labor Day weekend on Google or any social media. No note on the door either. What we thought would’ve been a nice walk from our cottage for coffee and a relax by the water turned into a 20 minute traffic jammed drive to the next town north which isn’t as quaint and comfortable as Ephraim.I wish businesses understood they can negatively affect customers without them even stepping into the store. That’s truly good hospitality to consider people go out of their way to support a business, especially in a area of the country with few resources. For example, if we knew they were closed we would’ve planned ahead bringing coffee to our rental and not planned to visit. It’s as simple as thatVery few people in Door County take pride in the craft of creating something- many of the businesses are truly touristic bare bones, meaning low quality ingredients: buying bulk corn syrup jams, green dyed pickles, and artificially flavored teas and repacking them in plastic and jars with the “farms” name on it, buying and thawing out frozen pastries instead of making their own. We were really excited to get coffee from a place that actually cares about coffee. Not a business that calls their room temperature hot brewed coffee “cold brew”They only seem to respond to negative reviews and don’t thank customers for their nice ones so perhaps it’s best we didn’t get to patronize their business all weekend. It’s amazing how quickly they responded to the previous negative review but couldn’t make a similar effort for an Instagram post or Google update. Maybe next year!

When you’re in Door County you can expect to have many amazing things. One of these things I didn’t expect to have such an amazing and memorable espresso. Their coffee is top notch. I got a latte for a long car ride and instead of just having a regular good latte, I was greeted with an espresso that was so wonderfully balanced. It tasted of freshly roasted cocoa nibs along with the bit of acidity you relish when drinking freshly roasted beans. I’m tempted just to go back to Door County just for another espresso.

We were excited to try a more modern coffee place and think this place has potential. The nitro cold brews were a bit bitter and after a bit, just had a slightly strange aftertaste. Hoping as the world opens up they begin to introduce more options. It was super convenient though to order online and pick up quickly and they are walking distance from a lot of places to stay, which was great!

The best coffee I’ve had in Wisconsin. Amazing coffee from people who really know what they’re doing! Be sure to check out their beans for sale, and if you come on a hot day be sure and order the espresso spritz!

Coffee was amazing, ordered a pour over and it was easily the best coffee I had during our weekend in Door County. Vibes of the shop are really nice as well.

Vanilla latte had no flavor! Much better coffee at the restaurant next door. My first contact was with a man and he was rude. The lady who gave me my coffee was very nice. Owner's responses to negative reviews show his true personality. I can't wait to see how he responds to mine. I truly think all the positive reviews by Google "local guides" were just so they could get points and they have never been there. I have a hard time believing they are genuine if their experience was anything close to mine.

Cool vibe here and more serious coffee offerings. Not your average dark roasts and safe flavor profiles. Cold brew had a lot of acidity which I liked but others may not.

Ordered 2lbs online at the suggestion of a buddy who had stopped by while on vacation. Not only were the beans reasonably priced for a micro roaster, the price included free shipping and my coffee showed up in less than a week! Really happy with the coffee I received (complete with hand-labeled roasting dates and batch numbers). The Mexico is sweet and kinda syrupy and the Burundi is very well balanced. Will be ordering again!

Terrible experience. Waited over 20 minutes for our coffee and it never came. Just got a refund. Drive 3 miles down the road and get in and out.EDIT: Due to the owners response, I am very glad I took my business elsewhere. It wasn’t just the waiting, it was the lack of communication. There was a dozen people standing around waiting for coffee and I only saw three people get their drink in those 20 minutes. When staff was asked by others waiting around what was taking so long, they replied with, “We are just busy now.” No apologies, no nothing. I waited 20 minutes past my time that coffee would be ready and others were at or over 20 minutes and still waiting. I’m not surprised by how the staff responded after seeing the leader that the owner is from their response. I took my business down to Fish Creek and had amazing coffee down there. It’s not my fault you are understaffed.

I finally found the time to visit your coffee shop !Being a SCAA certified roaster myself, I can tell your attention to detail with the coffee we purchased, and I also appreciate the gift of samples so I can roast on my Probat sample roaster I have in my basement !I roasted many years for Victor Allen coffee and many years for the craft brewing industry, roasting is truly a art and I can tell you have a passion for your craft and it’s reflected in your finished product!Great job !

Probably the best specialty coffee place in the Door County area. Excellent espresso, dairy-free options, house-made syrups, a pay it forward program ... What's not to like? A true hidden gem. Looking forward to returning once more!

GREAT cup of coffee. We were on the hunt of another coffee option since Leroy's was closed and found the coffee lab. Very small place next to a small clothing shop. Not too much of a hangout space but they make up for it with their awesome coffee. Had an 8 oz vanilla latte and it rivaled my favorite coffee shop back home :) I also like the fact that they had other suggestions of places to go listed on their door in the event that they were closed :)

Very good coffee, and friendly service. The owner handled our endless drinks and questions. The espresso spritzer was a real treat! He doesn't have heavy cream, but he does have decaf espresso. I will definitely be back next time we go through town.

This owner or establishment is panicked over Covid... many, many rules are posted. Other coffee houses up and down door county are allowing masks and hand washing, offering bathrooms and enjoying your coffee outdoors. I couldn’t believe their fear and treatment of customers during a time when small businesses are desperate to have customers. Once we followed the rules and ordered our coffees online from the car , we went to the window to get them. The lattes were not even good. We didn’t finish them. Save your money and go somewhere more customer friendly.

The best coffee on the bay. The coffee has awesome favors, It really made my day and it really perfect drink while I explored the bay coast. The owner Randy was great, he was closed but saw me looking at his shop and invited me in, he took a good 10 minutes to get to know me and made me feel I made a long lasting friend. The location was great, great views of the lake, a added plus was cluster of restaurants in all white buildings made it a unforgettable coastal town.

My family has had a place in Ephraim for generations, and I've been coming here all my life. Of all the changes I've seen over the past 35 years, the new restaurants and new generation of small business owners have been the most rewarding to watch and support. At home in Minneapolis we're spoiled for choice with good, local coffee roasters. On vacation in Door County, until this place popped up, it was really the one thing we were missing. This place is amazing. The owner is super knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. His espresso is even better than my favorite at home in Minneapolis. Worth a trip from basically anywhere on the peninsula.
