Definitely recommend stopping by this place if you’re ever in the area!We were in town visiting family for the week so we ended up going to the Eatery a few times which allowed us the opportunity to try out several of their dishes!-Biscuits and gravy-Pizza-Onion Rings-Fried Pickles-Smoked Ribs with homemade baked beans and fries-Chocolate Chip pancakes-Prime Rib Breakfast SkilletAll of the food was delicious, it arrived quickly and fresh.The staff was very friendly and on top of their game making sure drinks stayed filled and caring for a restaurant full with other customers.The owners even came out from the kitchen from time to time to interact with their customers which was great to see!The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean which is a huge point in my book!

Very uncomfortable feeling if you are not a local. We walked in not knowing you could seat yourself and the staff walked past us several times without acknowledging us. When I finally asked if we could seat ourselves she replied “yes, that’s what everyone does”. The food was terrible and not once did the waitress come back to ask if we needed a refill on coffee or how we were doing. We got done eating and sat at the booth for over 15 minutes waiting for the bill. I got up and asked her about the bill and she said “you come up to us for the bill and to pay, the locals know that”. It truly was one of the worst experiences ever.

Unfortunately I felt the need to leave a review today after our experience at Elroys. Let me start by saying that we travel a lot looking for non chain diners/restaurants as they often are hidden gems. I did not find that to be the case today. We stopped for breakfast on our way thru town based on the good ratings. We walked in and stood waiting to be acknowledged as the waitress walked by us and away never even looked at us. There was no sign saying to seat yourselves so we asked another young woman who appeared to be in training and she was very sweet stating we could seat ourselves. Apparently “the locals” know this. The food was mediocre , I had the eggs Benedict as that is one of my favorite breakfast meals and could not eat all of it because of the excessive amount of sauce and the under toasted English muffin. The ham was paper thin. I prefer Canadian bacon and a toasted English muffin. The eggs were poached perfectly however. We asked for extra crispy hash browns and they were not done crispy at all. We waited a while after completing our meal, after not having the waitress come back after delivering our food to check on things or refill coffee. Again we needed to ask for the bill but, once again we’re told the locals know they don’t deliver the bill to the table or take your payment. So we did that and left very dissatisfied and disappointed that an establishment like this would appear to really only want to cater to “the locals” and not to the numerous amount of non locals that I am sure travel thru “your” town. A simple smile and “you can seat yourself “as we arrived or a sign even wound take away that awkward initial impression and when the waitress takes your order say “you can pay at the counter whe you are ready “ is a simple thing. We noted others who walked in and had the same awkward moment. Overall, I would not return as there are numerous other small diners out there who are extremely welcoming and cater to everyone equally to keep customers coming back!

Cozy, family friendly. We were camping here, don't know area, so just lucky stumbled on this place!So good! Food was perfectly prepared, and there were several things on menu that surprised me. I'm a vegie- they were more than willing to substitute.The pretty blonde woman who waited/hostess did everything was so charming and nice. Sorry, I don't know your name! Thanks for a great brunch- we will be back.Vegetarian options: Anything they make- they will make it veggie. They don't skimp on ava either!Kid-friendliness: Big open booths built in windows bracket the front. There are plenty of large tables as well. People smile at the kids exiting tables and there are kid menu items.

We were looking for a sitdown homemade breakfast and Bender's is a gem in the rough. Traveled a little out of our way, but totally worth it. They have a really decent menu selection and the food was great! Service was attentive and friendly. I hope we're in the area again cause it was that good!

I dream about their beer batter fried fish and shrimp….. every Friday, that becomes a reality. Otherwise I am a huge fan of every breakfast item on the menu. Check this place out, you will be thankful you did.
