I stayed at Rowley's Bay Resort in Juneof 2023 on a tour of Door County. I was enthralled by the ambiance of the resort. The decor felt so very special and welcoming. We all loved the marvelous meals in the dining room. Many an hour was spent on the benches by the water, enjoying the lovely scenery. Your resort will be missed by so many people. Thank you for all your work in past years to make this such a special place. May God bless you in your next adventures.

The whole resort was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Every single employee we encountered seemed to be happy to be there. We used the pool and hot tub, and I have never seen a hotel pool so clean. We stayed in a 3 bedroom 2 bath suite, with a balcony facing the bay, beautiful view! Comfortable room. We went to the pub and had a great time, and a great bar tender (thanks Patrick!) Grandma s bakery is great and so was the Saturday breakfast buffet!

Resort??? Besides bakery items what makes this a resort? Room had mildew smell, not a big selection for beers, small vacation drinks for the price. Not able to charge anything to room, big inconvenience. Far far far from anything!Asked if manager/owner was in and young dark haired girl just said no and walked away. Wanted to give thank you to girl who worked desk/bakery but wasn't young girl wasn't up for talk. Oh well

Unfortunately this resort is now closed and for sale do to a devastating fire late last summer. This is a waterfront resort with cottages, motel rooms and rental homes. Proir to the fire the Resort had a large conference/party room. They had a great bakery. The nice restaurant with fish boils, buffet meals on certain days , you could order off the menu. I believe the restaurant is still in tact. They also have a boat launch with plenty of trailer parking. The marina has pontoon boats, kayaks and motor boat rentals, with some fishing supplies. The indoor pool, hot tub and gym room were lost to the fire. Also the registration desk, lobby and some motel rooms were lost to the fire . There remains to be a tennis court and hiking trails.Tgeir is a separately owned, but a nice and very quiet camp ground next door. You can fish on the bay, lake Michigan or by going up the Mink River EstuaryThis was a very nice, well managed, Rustic Resort and I believe will again be under its new owners!!!

We stayed in cottage A and BThey both are very nice.Clean and comfortable. And have most of the stuff you would need for cooking. They both have wood stoves which is nice to have inside fires. But, I wish these 2 cabins had a firepit area outside to enjoy.Even if just 1 to share between the 2 cabins since they are so close.Otherwise they are very lovely. They are close to each other so we could have 3 family's stay between the 2 cabins and hang out. They are also close to the main lodge so the kids could enjoy the indoor pool and hot tub which does close in mid October for the winter months.

The place is ancient, not in a good way. Very dated decor. Breakfast buffet is decent . After staying at Baileys Harbor Yacht club for virtually the same price, this place was a huge disappointment with it's old furniture, tiny bathroom, and run down appearance. The tennis court is cracked and overgrown with weeds. The staff are nice. Food prices are high like everywhere in this area.

Stayed here over the 4th of July holiday weekend. We stayed in the Oh So Suite room, which was 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. There was so much room it was like renting an apartment for the weekend. The entire establishment was very clean and the staff was super friendly. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this location and spent many hours sitting outside taking in the view of the bay. This location is perfect if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Door County in the summer time. We will definitely go back!

I booked here for our Annual Girls Getaway and I have to say they get a 5* all the way !!! Jewel is truly an amazing person , easy to work with , accomadating, helpful, and truly goes above and beyond to make sure we have what we needed to make our stay more enjoyable. I absolutely love this resort. It's comfortable and has that homey feel. The pool is awesome and the hot tub is too. All the staff that I have encountered at the Resort whether it be at the desk or in the hallway have been super nice and helpful too.

Well kept cabins and a wonderful view of the bay. Communal fire pits favor safety over privacy but we did not encounter other guests at the time we used it. Great star viewing right across from the dark sky space in Newport State Park. The website says free coffee (in lobby and premium in bakery) for guests but had to pay both times even after explaining I was a guest. The main road in front of the resort seems to be used as a through street and vehicle speed/noise caused annoyance. Pool was fine, hot tub could have been cleaner.

We were on a Van Galder bus tour and stayed for two nights. The staff and food were fantastic. Hotel was very clean. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because of the beds. They were very very hard.. For younger people it is probably OK but for older it's very difficult on our old bones. Next time I'm in Door County I will stay here again.

Our stay was great! We came in the off season, so we were able to upgrade our room for a fair price. It's like getting your own fully furnished apartment for the weekend. Will definitely be staying here next time we come to Door County. It's well worth it. They also had a really cool gaming basement with two pool tables, a tennis table, and some stand up arcade games.

Every employee we interacted with was kind and accommodating, we had the pool mostly to ourselves most nights, clean but smelled like old perfume(especially strong in our suite), could use some updating(very minimal game room with a vcr and tapes, 5 arcade machines but no change machine, bumper pool, pool table, and ping pong table) but a beautiful, quiet, mostly adult resort, regardless. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had a lake side room, so we were able to watch the sun set and rise on the bay. It was beautiful! In the morning we went out at sunrise and also walked on your trail for an hour. What a treat. No people just nature and peace and quiet. Restaurants were close by, and it is appreciated to have a refrigerator and microwave in our room. It was our 41st Wedding Anniversary and it was so nice to get away to see some of the peninsula. Thanks for being open, and God Bless. Gail Soukup

I just returned from a two night stay with a travel group at my bank. The accommodations were wonderful, and the breakfast and dinner buffets were awesome. I never ate so much delicious food and bakery (from Grandma's Swedish bakery) in my life! The owner was a delight and treated our group like we were her friends. I would highly recommend this resort.

I've never stayed at the resort as we have relatives nearby. However, that said, they have a wonderful bake shop and small coffee cafe. It's a great place to stop in for coffee and pecan rolls to get an early start on the day while in the area. Check them out.

This is an awesome place! It is kept up nicely and it was so great seeing kids able to run around and play rupiah in the halls and play areas. And feel comfortable enough that when they noticed we needed a little direction they asked if they could help us. A great family atmosphere like we had when we were growing up! Also very up to date with activity options like kayaking, paddleboarding and zip lining.

Nice location. The room smells like stale cigarette smoke which was not good since I am allergic. The room itself was comfortable. Resort grounds are in good repair. We had a nice view of lake Michigan. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.

Love the serene location and turn back in time feel of the resort. Have stayed in both a lodge room and a cabin, they were both very clean and affordable. The fish boil, complete with a narrator around a firepit overlooking the bay, and tasty buffet are something to try. Love breakfast? The breakfast buffet has a great selection and is priced well to boot.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The resort is very clean and kept up to date. The bakery has the best cinnamon and pecan rolls. We took the off road segway tour from the front of the resort and had a great time.

We just had our wedding at Rowley’s Bay Resort and it was the most perfect, beautiful day. The owner, Jewel, was very on top of things—it was like getting a venue and a wedding planner in one! The day ran very smoothly. The staff went over and above to meet my dietary needs. The resort was a great background for all of our pictures and our guests enjoyed the peaceful setting.

We came here for a fish boil and would now love to come back to stay! Rowley's is located in a beautiful area of Door County and has wonderful views, a fantastic dock and the fish boil (I recommend making reservations! ) is known as the best in the area!It all starts with a interesting historic story told by a wonderful storyteller. As the story is told, the audience is shown the process of the fish boil. Once the fish is ready, we eat! The Resort offers a lovely and delicious buffet. Their bakery is on-site and absolutely delicious! Really, the bakery could have a review of its own complimenting its wonderful offerings! The resort is family owned and run and the people couldn't be nicer! We had an absolutely delightful time there- Thank you Rowleys Bay Resort!!

Great place for family retreats on a budget. I loved the old school feel with basic accommodations. We travel and look for cheap places to stay with decent rooms for sleeping. We don't vacation to stay in our rooms so something basic is perfect. I can easily see why this has been around for so long!
