I've loved Island Orchard cider for years and had never been there in person. Our friends built a place minutes away so I had to stop in. What a wonderful experience! Finally being able to taste the limited release ciders of only seen on Facebook was awesome. I loved the music they had playing and the food (charcuterie) selection was great and reasonably priced. I'll be back!

Great local cider tasting room. Almost all ciders are hard and ingredients seem to be grown nearby at Washington Island, WI.They have a nice selection of cheeses and snacks as well. They have a wide variety of options. Try talking with the very knowledgeable staff. You’ll learn a lot and narrow in your options to something you like. I recommend trying a flight of small glasses.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian product unless you go for the cheese.

Being gluten free, that makes me a Wisconsinite who can’t drink most beer, so I’ve come to embrace cider, but most I find to be cloyingly sweet - not this cider though! After sampling a number of different varieties here, it’s consistently dry, with a complex flavor and almost champagne-like effervescence - in other words refreshing and delicious!I like the Brut and Oak Aged apple ciders a lot, but flavors like Pear and Lavender are nice too. This is available in lots of liquor stores now, but it’s still special coming to this shop and sampling different varieties.

Hard cider house, cool idea similar to the local wineries. It was packed inside and seemed popular. We didn’t wait to try the goods but we snapped a pic and just based on the vibe would recommend to people who are into hard cider or wine tasting in general.

This was a new adventure for us and we loved it! The hostess was extremely friendly and explained all the ciders. My husband and I each selected four ciders to try.The brute had 36 apples in it and was 6.9% alcohol. My favorite was the iced cider. It had a nice clean and refreshing taste.Even if you do not like cider beer, I guarantee you have not had this. It is definitely a must try!We will be back!

With a wide variety of ciders to choose from and a concise description of each by one of the "bartenders," my wife and I each selected a flight of 4 to try. We sipped them on the patio and enjoyed a 20-minute chat. We agreed on a favorite but decided to try one of the appertifs. We split a tasting pour and liked it so much that we bought a bottle of it instead of the other one we'd agreed on.They also had a limited variety of cheese and crackers for purchase to nosh on.

We visited on 10/24/22. Ciders were good. Patio area allowed dogs which was nice. They do not serve food. They did have some charcuterie options to buy and then you could put together your own charcuterie spread.

First stop on our trolley tour and Kathrin opened for us an hour early and welcomed our large group! We had such a nice time learning about the cider process, the use of the local apples and cherries, and tried flights of all their amazing ciders and new adventures in beverages like the poloma and cidre de poivre. The vinegars are delicious as the ciders-we all came home wishing we had purchased more! Dale and Dawn were fantastic and we really appreciate your hospitality to our dental group!

Delicious and refreshing cider! Before visiting the actual place in Door County, I bought Island Orchard cider for many years. Getting to go to the place where it's made was indeed a treat! The employees are very friendly and will let you sample anything you want! It's also in a beautiful setting. I highly recommend one of their dry ciders.

Sucks that they close so early but it is what it is. Had some boxed crackers and cheese curds as food.More than 3,000 apple and pear fruit trees on Washington Island are used for making hard cider. Every piece of fruit is harvested by hand in the fall, then shipped over on the ferry to Ellison Bay, where Island Orchard has their own production facility and ciders.Try unique flavor twists like apple-ginger and apple-cherry.

We stopped here on our way through Door County. They have a small retail area with all of their bottles of cider available for purchase. We purchased a flight of their different ciders to try and they were all delicious. They have a seating area in their brewery room along with outside patio tables as well.

If you enjoy alcoholic Cider or are interested in trying a variety of local flavors, this is the place to do it. All cider products are sourced and made in Door County. It wasn't expensive and we enjoyed making our own snacking tray. There is also Nonalcoholic Cider made by Seaquist, which is delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and knowledgeable.

Almost all the ciders we sampled were delicious. We have never been to a hard cider place before and loved it. Purchased two bottles, which were both reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly, and gave good recommendations.

We weren't explicitly looking for taprooms on our way up to the curvey road, but we saw this and decided to stop on the way back. We're absolutely glad we did-- we went a bit overboard and got a combined flight of 9 to share, but all of them were either very good or absolutely stellar, and you can bet we spent most of our trip budget on a case of their ciders. Their ciders were on the drier end of the spectrum, which was perfect for us. Even their pear cider, described as "on the sweet side" was not overbearingly sweet.

We heard about Island Orchard while on the island (go figure) so stopping in was a must have for us!We were not disappointed! The staff was friendly and very knowledgable about the various ciders. Our favorite was the lavender, but there are many choices! The atmosphere was very chill and we ended up outside in the shade to enjoy our flight. All in all, a highly recommended stop in Door County!

We had a blast trying different ciders and sitting on their patio trying flights. Very affordable pricing. Not 100% family friendly, but with a single toddler it would be manageable so long as they had snacks and you brought them their own plastic cup. We're definitely coming back!

Great, quick stop for a (free) adult tasting during a family reunion. Tasting included 4-5 different varieties of cider featuring local apples, cherry, and lavender. The cider house is set up like a winery with a tasting bar and various types of cider for purchase. Solid outdoor patio area to sit on a nice day.
