These are the most loving people for animals! To say the phrase, "above and beyond" does not nearly do them justice! While my military son is deployed, his dog found himself in a bad situation. The staff here took over and took the best care of Arlo! They took the best care of him until I could get there to collect him. The communication I had with Sarah was perfect, and she walked me through ALL of my many questions. I don't think there are enough words to express our gratitude for all that the entire staff did to take such good care of Arlo! They likely, very literally, saved his life. He's a happy, healthy pup now, and living his very best life. Thank you all so much for the love and care you gave Arlo!!! Although he is now living so far away from you, we will never forget. His Dad is so relieved and grateful. While he's half a world away; because of you he didn't have to stress about his doggo! I cannot thank you enough!

We've been using them since Fall 2015 when we moved to the area. They've seen three dogs we have owned over the years. It was great service until last week.Our current dog had what appeared to be a ruptured abscess and was bleeding all over the house. The dog was even in a panic. We were able to get into the emergency vet in Janesville last minute since the Elkhorn Vet Clinic was closing and we wouldn't have made it before closing (understandable). The Janesville emergency vet was great and helped us out immensely.Fast forward we reached the three day window to have the drain removed while the stitches for the abscess were to remain in place for at least another week. We called and scheduled a next day appointment (Saturday) to have the drain removed and so they cold see him so they were aware about what had occurred. We had a tech visit, they took our dog back and removed both the drain as well as the stitches for his injury a week earlier they were supposed to come out. He was brought back out and we were told the stitches were out and everything looks good. They then asked (after care was already administered) what he had done. There was a look of shock and a response of "oh!"The wound had some redness and our dog spent the weekend trying to itch like crazy. He even broke his cone of shame trying to itch. We called this morning to see if we could get a doctor to do a cautionary look at him to make sure everything was good since they made an oops.This morning I was told they were packed and the earliest we could be seen was Thursday. After explaining my concerns further, they then offered an urgent care visit for us to pay another $80, cover their mistake just to look at it. This was unacceptable and I told them I'll go somewhere else. We made these calls to plan our day since we have two busy days early this week. I called a nearby vet who was willing to see him this afternoon as an urgent care and establish care. Fast forward an hour later after I had already arranged to have vet records transferred, I get another call. This time they were willing to "squeeze" us in today but unsure when. I explained that this could have been done earlier when I spoke to them but only now was it remotely convenient for them. I explained my day and plans have now been planned for the day and they were no longer included. I also was out of the area for a few hours and unavailable for their new undefined timeline to maybe get service today.This year would have marked eight years. It all ended with one minor issue that was a fixable CYA for all and instead ended with being an after thought that they wanted us to pay out of pocket for.

I have been using Elkhorn Equine Vet for many years. They have helped me through some very, very difficult medical issues with my gelding. They handled his case professionally and helped me get him to specialists quickly. (Progressive Ethmoid hematomas).I couldn't say more about their wellness program! I highly recommend. They excel in preventative medicine and that has kept my mare healthy! On a spring exam years ago they caught that she has chronic uveitis and pre-metabolic syndrome. Because of the early detection, we have kept each completely under control and watch for changes each year.

Best Vet clinic in the area. All the vets are great, you can't go wrong with any of them. Although recently I've seen their newest vet and Dr. Tucker and both have been fantastic. I have three dogs that are seen there, one was taken in during an emergency when he and my brother were hit by a car. They took such amazing care of Trigger and went above and beyond for him. I also have 2 small dogs, and they do an amazing job with them too. The vet techs are great, and everyone at the front is so nice as well. I would never even things about taking my dogs anywhere else. I recommend Elkhorn Vet to everyone I know that has animals! Thank you to the best vet clinic!

Doc Tully has been caring for my horses for 30 years. He is the absolute best in the business, and I trust him wholeheartedly. Dr Burns is also one of my fave horse vets.I take my dogs to Elkhorn as well. When we discovered my dog had Lymphoma and not much time left, they were extremely compassionate and accommodating.Elkhorn has earned my lifetime loyalty, and I recommend them to everyone I talk to.

I would have difficulty trusting another Clinic.If it wasn't for the caring, loving staff at Elkhorn - I may have lost my best friend. I highly recommend EVC. When I walk in with my dogs, I'm always greeted right away by the friendly front desk gals. It doesn't take long to see the Doctor or Technician either. We love Dr. Korosec & Dr. Wiegel, they're thorough & explain things so I understand. I'm also given options & don't feel pressured or rushed to make a decision. They have a ultrasound machine on site which has saved us a couple trips to the ER! We've also dealt with some technicians Ariana, Tiffany and Liana, such sweet girls.

We had a very sick pup. We were at the animal hospital in Waukesha and they advised if she wasn’t good threw the night to get her checked and ultrasound.The next day she was very sick and needed help I called over 15 vets from Madison WI to Illinois no one was able to help us. Everyone was either booked and couldn’t get her in, didn’t have ultra sound, or was a hospital that would have been extremely expensive. When we called Elkhorn Vet I told them what was happening and even tho they were extremely busy they could tell we were in trouble. Sarah helped us so much and explained everything with love and compassion. The doctor who we never met before was so sorry that to tell us our dog had a larger tumor in her small intestine and needed to be laid to sleep. These folks were not our normal veterinarians but when we decide do get another pet we will most definitely be back. Our hearts are at peace because of the way Everything went so smooth and how compassionate they were.

When I was unable to be there for my horse's appointment, even though it was a simple visit and all was well, I received a call from Dr. Burns just to say hi and send good wishes to me and my family. They were able to see me the same day I called. First time visiting with a senior animal. Reception people were very helpful. I didn’t wait long to be brought to the exam room. After the tech left the veterinarian came in within a couple of minutes. My animal had diagnostic tests done in a timely manor. Medications were available before I left the exam room. Received a phone call from the veterinarian the next day making sure my pet was doing better.

If i could give zero stars i would .terrible place had them come out to look at pigs for rock county fair walked out of car for 90 seconds and i asked multiple times if all was fine and they kept saying yes then gave me paperwork for fair then got the pigs ready to go and got there and said the vet had not done a test they where supose to do and my kid could not show there pig or even unload it and had worked for months to train it and sell it at fair but was unable to do so because vet had not done there job correctly would not reccomend to anyone

The vet techs and vets do a great job and take wonderful care of my dog.I'm one of those people who sees my dog as part of the family and wouldn't trust his care to just anyone. Dr. Jeff Korosec and Dr. Waller have been wonderful to our cats. Their attention to detail and obvious concern when our cats are sick, really shows. They do follow-up calls and talk to you about diagnostic tests, including projected costs. One of our cats has tooth reabsorption ,and she had a tough time after surgery at another location. The doctors really pulled her out of a serious bout of refusal to eat. One of our cats has asthma. The doctors obviously speak to each other about cases and the transition from one vet to the other is seamless. Exceptional care here.

The absolute BEST vet in the area. Everyone is friendly, caring and they always go above and beyond for our dogs. My parents have been bringing our family dogs here since I was a baby and I followed in their footsteps with my own, Driver and Scout. Dr. Korosec and Dr. Preston are always able to set my mind at ease with my Weimaraner who tends to take too many vet trips but they've always managed to fix him right up and bring my spirits up as well. I'm thankful for everyone at the clinic and recommend EVC to anyone who asks me who they should bring their pet to. Thank you all for everything you've done for our dogs!

I can't thank the staff enough! My dog was hit on I-43 and they were able to take her in immediately to stabilize her condition. They stitched her up and sent her home with us a few hours later. She is recovering very well and everyone working there was extremely supportive.

Just moved from out of state to Wisconsin, my dog ate something she shouldn’t have and it’s pretty urgent for her to be seen ASAP. With COVID still around, this place isn’t accepting new clients. The vet in Lake Geneva is taking new clients and are able to see my dog today and they’re just having the owners stay in their cars. Find ways to adapt instead of turning away your future clients, because I’m sure I’m not the only one that will remember that this place wasn’t willing to help the animals they are supposed to love and care for.

Very unprofessional service, they quote you incorrect amounts and then way overcharge. I was told it would be an extra $100 for xrays, ended up being $320 extra. Don't go there, plenty of other vet places around.

Dr Burns and the rest of the crew that helped my horse Jed were FANTASTIC. I traveled over 150mi for docs help and he didn't disappoint, after over 6 months of various vet help ,Doc Burns helped where no one else could. Jed has recovered and is back with the herd. Went today to give my dog a nail trim. Our dog is calm and docile and we have been going thete for 13 years! But not now. Every time we have gone, including today, they get to close to the quick. Our lab back paw started to bleed. They charged me $16. I called and spoke to a tech. I explained that wew were unhappy with the service. Instead of good customer service, she blamed me because the dogs nails were too long. The tech is waiting to speak withher boss to see if I get a refund. After spending thousands to them you would not think $16 refund would be a big deal!!! Dont go here

I've been taking my 2 dogs to EVC for 10 years now. I even used to travel from the Chicagoland area for their compassion, care & rock bottom prices! I've been impressed with every vet I've seen (I've seen 4 different docs in my time), the vet techs & the lovely ladies at the front desk. Thank you, EVC!
