I've not only loved consistently dining at this restaurant with my husband and in-laws, but have also felt very supported and valued as a server here. The chefs truly do a fantastic job creating tasty and quality dishes, and the array of options on the menu makes for a unique experience every time. Lynn was a wonderful manager to work for, and a wonderful hostess to my family whenever we've dined, always treating us with kindness and respect. She truly cares about all of her customers and employees, and you can really feel that with how delicious the food is!10/10 recommend!

Food was all very good but seemed like they skimped on the good part in every dish and for the price that didn’t seem fair. Buratta only four half slices of toast and an overflowing plate of greens. Abura only about 8 pieces of octopus(although the fried kale was good, overflowing with kale). Orecchiette Con Carne maybe 4 pieces of sausage. Everyone else at my table had the same gripe, too sparing with the good stuff.

We waited over an hour and when we complained about our wait time the manager gas lighted us about how we hadn’t waited that long and how we were wrong. Also it took them 30 minutes to send our order to the kitchen. Also our table was forgotten about for 30 minutes without water or refils on our drinks. My own mother had to personally go up to the bar and reorder our drinks. Overall if u want to dine at a place and wait most likely over an hour this is the place. Also to add on to this my food wasn’t close to warm

I don't understand how this place stays in business at all. I have to assume it's because it's one of like two or three choices in the whole area. Some of the food is ok, the wait is ALWAYS ridicuously, unbelievably long with terrible service, and the owner is aggressive and belligerent. Saw other reviews talking about her gaslighting and nastiness. All very true. All of her responses to negative (and accurate) reviews are either a fake "sorry, email us" which go straight into a black hole or else you see she can't help herself with rude, petty trolling remarks. Yikes. Would love to see this spot replaced with a decent restaurant.

We’ve been coming here for years. There is a more formal room that we’ve eaten at once. The more informal bar area is just a more fun atmosphere. By looking at the place, one would think this is run of the mill food. It isn’t. The Cuban quesadilla is a good example, and is a dish I have to to order at least once a year. This is Wisconsin, so I know what a standard fish fry is, and the panko perch I just had isn’t that. For a side, I get the pasta salad if you can live with the extra carbs.

We were looking forward to a nice girls weekend dinner. Problem #1 was it was Homecoming you can't really hold this against the restaurant however it's been my experience in the past service is not optimal which unfortunately was our experience. Our waitress was clearly frazzled and running around serving large groups. She was very apologetic for her lack of attention to us. We asked her about wine choices which she didn't know had to ask bartender. It was very loud and poor acoustics. The food was good and came out quickly. The peach cobbler dessert is oddly served in a small cocktail glass which was rather hard to eat without getting crumble all over the table. May want to consider a bowl. The pictures online were a bit misleading as it's not as quaint and quiet as I would have hoped it would have been.

Took over an hour to get our food, waitress was indifferent when we told her that the Paninni sandwich had a sour smell to it. She said it was the cheese. Took almost 10 minutes to get second beer. We noticed other patrons also complaining about their food. Never again.

Service was good food was ok lobster bisque was very bland and came out lukewarm with a chunk of cold butter that never melted. They don't serve ranch dressing or BQ sauce as well. So if you like that as a dipping sauce don't expect to find it here.Yes, it had chucks of Lobster 2 pieces and a spoon full of butter. Look at the picture.Once again service was good.

We had reservations on a Saturday night as it was June Sprints weekend at Road America & the 4 of us wanted to eat in the dining room instead of the bar area. I had the grilled salmon entree which I loved. The right blend of seasonings served w/mashed potatoes & cabbage. The cabbage I did not care for so much. My family enjoyed their meals as well. Menu has a good selection of food as well as cocktails & beers. Our waiter was extremely nice & proficient, & very helpful when some of our party had questions about the craft beers. Definitely will be back.

Got recommendation for this great spot in the town… was not disappointed! We sat at the bar and had great service from all the staff behind the bar!! Very fun to talk with and all were very knowledgeable on menu. Had a great T-bone, cooked just right! Definitely will return when in the area again!

We had a delicious scallop appetizer! It's flavors were explosive. Then shared a pear pizza, which was delicious. The crust was crisp and the toppings were perfectly spread out. We also shared the salmon sandwich. It was served open faced and done with cream cheese and greens. I would highly recommend this location for lunch or dinner! Also, try the specialty drinks!

Interesting place with an active and noisy bar area and then a dining room that is very quiet and reserved. The bread is great, kind of crunchy like garlic bread, the tuna appetizer was good, but we had the lake street pizza and it wasn't so great. The inner part is fantastic but the outer crust is this floury, powdery, underdone thing I didn't want to eat. The peach crumble was this not so good thing served in a jar. Beer was good though.

Really enjoyed the lake Street Cafe, hate to deduct an entire star for slow service, but it was noticeably slow. Our server was super nice, we were seated immediately, and the food was good, but it took a while between visits to take orders, and then it took a very long time for the food to arrive. And not like we ordered something fancy or complicated, me and my companion both ordered sandwiches and it took what felt like 45 minutes for them to come out. We sat outside, not sure if that had something to do with it but overall a very nice experience other than just taking a while.

I had a late lunch here during the week. I tried the Lake Street Burger with pasta salad and it was excellent. The bartender Mitchell was very informative and provided great service. I will definitely be back.

We ate here on 4th of July this past holiday. It was packed but everyone was KIND and FRIENDLY and the food was delicious and the staff was greatWe came in with our 5 kids, 2 of them are newborn twins in a double stroller which is probably scary for restaurants to see all these kids come inBut the owner was the kindest sweetest woman who came over and was so sweet and happy and talkative and made us feel like family !! My kids loved it, food was great as always and the owner was the best part. She literally made the night so special . Brought tears to my eyes feeling so welcomed by her into her establishment

I wanted to really like the place. It has eclictic ambience. Service was OK. I ordered a green apple and roasted almond salad that arrived without the almonds. My son ordered the caesar salad with chicken that came complete with paper wrapping in the salad. Between these two incidents, I just can't give the restaurant a great rating.

Unbelievably good. The complimentary bread is OUT OF THIS WORLD. They bake it themselves and is worth the price of admission. I never would have dreamed that this level of dining would be available in such a small, quaint town. (Which by the way is equally amazing) Jasmine (sp?) is an excellent server and made sure to make our time as exquisite as possible. If 6 stars was an option, Lake Street Cafe deserves it.

Fun atmosphere. Charbroiled taste in the burgers really comes through. French fries are awesome. The homemade chips I think could be good but mine were way over done.
