I adopted my best friend from sun golden 7 years ago now!! i feel very qualified to say you could not find a better breeder. my dee dee is beautiful and still gets mistaken for a puppy because of her youthfulness and life. i adore her, she's perfect! and the process for adopting her was personal and involved. the breeders are kind and attentive.

We couldn't be happier with our sweet girl!! We did our research when it came to finding the perfect golden retriever breeder and we are so thoroughly impressed with Sun Golden Kennels. Mike and Sharon have been absolutely amazing throughout the entire process! After we were selected for a litter, they shared tons of updates on a Facebook page with videos of the pups, helpful information, and tons of sweet photos of the dogs. You can tell how much love and care they have for their Goldens! When we picked up our puppy, they gave us a bag of goodies - treats, toys, and food for our dog, so thoughtful and kind! I highly recommend getting your next golden retriever from Sun Golden Kennels! I would give them 10 stars if I could!! We have no doubt we'll be getting another in the future from them; Sun Golden Kennels are TRUE professionals!

We just got the most beautiful golden retriever puppy! From the moment the puppies were born, we were updated constantly on how they were doing. They even created a FB group and posted videos over the 8 weeks! They kept us in the loop on everything, and it was a pleasure working with them. Wonderful across the board. Communication throughout the process was incredible. Kaia, our now four month old Golden, is both sweet and smart. We live in a neighborhood with more then a handful of Golden Retrievers and I am stopped regularly on walks by other owners who comment on how beautiful she is. I am invariably asked where she came from which I happily divulge. we could not be happier with our newest family member!

Sharon and Mike did a great job on helping us with our first GR puppy. Clean and well organized facility and more importantly lots of helpful advice. Website answered many questions and Sharon was always available to answer any other questions we had. Communication was timely even over the holidays and the photos were great! On the recommendation of a friend that breeds and shows Golden Retrievers on a small scale, my wife and I got a Golden Retriever puppy Augie from Sharon and Mike, who own and run Sun-Golden. Sharon has been breeding dogs since she was a kid (she still is at heart!). She and her husband Mike have turned a passion she had as a young girl into a successful business that breeds Golden Retrievers and Poodles and boards dogs. Our now 16 week old Augie's dad is an AKC Grand Champion and his mom is a Champion. He is the smartest puppy I have ever owned and I've owned a lot. We have been having a flat out ball with Augie. Sharon and Mike are veterans in the dog business who haven't lost their love for dogs. It was like getting a dog from family.

I have gotten a retired female golden from them and she is such a good girl. Settled right in from the day she got here. Is very patient, quiet, walks very well on a leash and loves car rides. We had such a great experience getting our puppy from Sun Goldens!! We were always kept up to date when litters were born. For our specific litter, we were kept up to date constantly, from the first ultrasound all the way to the day of puppy pick up! Sharon answers all questions and gives you so much information, we felt so prepared for our pup. And our pup is absolutely gorgeous, and so well tempered. Sharon and Mike are great and the dogs are beautiful. I have only good things to say about Sun-Golden Kennels. You will not be disappointed if you get a dog from them. I have had dozens of people ask where I bought my dog because of his thick, long hair. He looked more like a bear cub than a dog when he was a puppy because of his beautiful coat. My vet put pictures of him on their website, saying that he was the most beautiful golden he had ever seen. I only hope that Mike and Sharon haven't retired from the breeding business before I get my next one from them.

Mike & Sharon are responsible breeders. They make a point of meeting all potential golden owners before letting one of their puppies join their family. I've always had a Golden in my life for the last 45 years. We've always done extensive research on breeders that we purchased our dogs from because the pup will be a member of our family and we want the best health and attitude possible. I must say that Sun Golden's were the most professional folks to deal with and the puppy that I picked was the most socialized puppy that I've ever had. He was confident, bonded quickly and had a great sense of self for an eight week old puppy! They obviously put a lot of time into their pups those first critical 8 weeks. Folks that know me know that I get only the best in Golden Retrievers...and I have no problem telling them that Sun Goldens was my pick after all the research was done! My Raphael is nearing eight-months old now and he has all the characteristics that the breed is supposed to exhibit. He is friendly...good with other dogs and people. He is smart, consistent, loving and a joy to live with. And he is a BEAUTY! He is well on his way to becoming my third Service Dog.

My husbands trip was changed 2.5 weeks out. Something 100% outside of our control. We called to reschedule and they refused to move our deposit to our new dates! They refused to work with us. This isn’t me notifying them 1 day before boarding it’s a little over 2 weeks! They refused to transfer my $50 deposit. That’s fine. They lost my business which would have been well over $400! Not the way you treat a new client! We will take our business elsewhere! Beware before you book! If there’s a chance your plans may change they will keep your money without care!

Sharon has been extremely thorough throughout this entire adoption process. I appreciated the necessity to complete an application to adopt, and heard back from her promptly. She spent significant time with me when I visited the pups, and has even answered questions subsequent to me bringing my pup home. My get reviewed the records I was sent home with, and was impressed by the health checks on his parents (hips and elbows) and the quality of the breeder. I felt my pup was well-cared for from the very beginning, and was sent home with a wonderful care package of goodies to keep him healthy and happy. Though this was costly, I appreciate the quality of the breeding and Sharon's love and passion for each of her pups.

Sharon was great to work with on getting our puppy Josie. Our vet was also impressed with Sharon's records on the vaccines schedules and all the paperwork provides. We have already recommended this breeder to one of my husbands co-workers who has an aging poodle.

The entire process was a positive experience. We were able to communicate with Sharon/Mike starting the very moment we found their webpage. We fell in love with Breaker and asked if there would be any upcoming litters where he would be the sire. Sharon shared information with us, put our names down, and got us on the path to filling out all of our puppy information. We were placed on a list, notified when the breeding was taking place, notified when the pregnancy was confirmed and were sent updates/pictures/videos. We ultimately got the puppy we fell in love with at the visit. He is doing wonderful. He is so incredibly calm, well mannered, and an overall exceptional companion. I would recommend this breeder to anyone and everyone!

We received updates throughout the entire process and pictures of the puppies after birth through the date we were able to pick our puppy up. It was really great to be able to see the puppies grow up those first 8 weeks. We have also never had a dog so well behaved. She is a very smart pup and we couldn't be happier. She is absolutely beautiful as well -- they breed some great lookin' pups :) We will definitely be sticking with golden retrievers and Sun Golden Kennels for any future dogs!!

We highly recommend Sun Golden Kennels. They provided a process consistent with the larger kennels in the country with a service detail reflective of their love for dogs and placing those dogs in the right homes. Our dog (Dee Dee) is, unfortunately for those of you reading this the most healthy, happy and beautiful dog they will ever have, but we are certain you will be almost as happy as my family with the 2nd or 3rd best golden in the world! Sharon and Mike are wonderful people operating a family business in a very professional manner. We drove from another state passing many kennels to purchase our dog from Sun Golden and we suggest you do the same!

We have been using this Kennel for a couple of years at least now. My Alaskan Malamute Natasha loves it there. She is well taken care of, and they make her feel at home. I even think on their Kennel page you can see her in one of the pictures. My dog comes back from here tired, but very happy. The Kennel is always willing to work with me, plus their grooming is top notched!

Our puppy (15 weeks old) spent a week at Sun Golden while we were on vacation. When we picked him up he was exhausted from all the fun play and smelled great as he had just had a bath. Recently our family had to find a kennel for our dogs and quickly. We had never had to kennel our boys but Mike and his facility came highly recommended from a family member who knows Mike on a friendly basis. We were nervous because you hear horror stories and read not so nice stories on google. BUT I can tell you 100% this family knows what they are doing. I got updates via text photo almost daily and the boys looked like they were having the time of their lives! If you need someone to love your dogs like their own, this is the place!! Leading up to receiving our puppy, Mike and Sharon were incredible about answering all of our questions and sharing pics and videos of the litter from birth until adoption. They could not have picked a better match for us with what our family was looking for in a puppy. We adore our Golden, and she is incredible.
