One of the main reasons I shop Ace is that if I need an unusual part and if what I get the first time doesn't work for what I'm trying to do I can bring it back and get a different part. Ace doesn't allow returns on nuts and bolts anymore. This was a service that set Ace apart from competitors. Very disappointed in this change of policy.

Bought a new gas grill. Staff was very helpful and owner was great when delivering the grill. Will definitely continue to shop at this store.

Nuts and bolts only go up to grade 8, which is fine for most fastening, but it would be great if they carried hardened steel fasteners for automobiles.I came here to get a couple of railing hardware pieces and geez, they can get pretty expensive here. Anyway they asked if I had a rewards card and since I come here a lot I figured, hey sign me up. I am told that they should have signed me up before I made my purchase so they could have put my purchase on it, and all I can think is um, yeah, but all in all it's a decent hardware store - if you want to spend a lot of money then come on over.

Was riding my bike and the crank arm bolt was starting to get loose, stopped by to see if I could buy a 9/16 socket to fix it but the manager Steve let me use one of the stores socket to tighten it, great customer service and very helpful.

I have been to your store several times - I wanted to help a local company verse a big chain. However at EVERY visit the service has been terrible. I was told one visit that the only employee who could mix paint was busy unloading a truck so to come back another time. The next time I tried to get paint mixed it was 40 minutes before close and I was again told I couldn’t get paint mixed because the only employee who could mix it was closing tills - 40 minutes before close! Another time I arrived and 3 employees were standing by registers talking - as I walked around store looking for my items I stepped in several puddles of water - not one employee was attempting to clean them up. The employees know very little about the products they sell so are pretty useless. There has been ONE employee that is worth keeping - the rest should be terminated. I doubt I will ever go back.

Purchased a very competitively priced 4ft Werner brand ladder online for pickup in store. Not only was shipping fast, but in addition to the standard email notification to pick up, I also received a friendly voicemail from a store employee. When I stopped in to pick up there were two guys working the counter who were helpful and promptly retrieved my order from the back. They also asked if I needed any assistance getting it to my vehicle. Great service and prices. Recommended!!

I won't rush back! The 2 young people (1guy and 1gal) were totally unattentive. At least the young man told me where the 50# bags of salt were but didn't offer to help lift it in my cart. The gal was to busy at the counter chatting it up with her boyfriend to even care. I am a senior person and have health issues. I don't expect to be catered to but the offer would have at least nice!

I stopped to get a battery for a car remote and was helped by Nancy and a gentleman. They were so pleasant and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation with the two of them and they helped me figure out which battery I needed and replace it! I always love stopping in at this location and always met with such pleasant staff and service! Great job! Nancy was so much fun to talk to i almost wanted to get her contact info to get lunch or coffee sometime so I could hang out with her again and catch up lol it felt like connecting with a friend. Thanks again for all your help Nancy!

We go to this Ace all the time and LOVE IT. The staff members are so friendly and willing to help. Zach and Nancy are both excellent at their job and have incredible customer service. There is a younger gentleman that works at the register a lot, I wish I remembered his name but is also wonderful.

If I could give a negative star I would. Was just at the hardware store this evening just before closing and I was looking for one item. The store had 5 minutes to closing time and a young boy employee was kind enough to walk up to me and remind me that they were closing in 4 minutes. Wouldn't it have been nice if he would have asked can I help you find anything instead? But no, never bothered to help at all. In a town where there's a large Menards and other choices to shop at you would think having your business would be important. Normally I don't put reviews but I was so frustrated when I left that I decided the extra trip across town would be worth it. If this is example of the new generation there are going to be a lot of unhappy shoppers in the future. Kids need to understand that when they are getting paid by an employer it is their job to be helpful ,kind and courteous because after all they are getting paid to be there. There is always somebody else that could take their spot! I would sure hope the manager this location watches these reviews as I noticed there were several others regarding employees in a short amount of time, red flag! Lost profit to a business!

Called asking about a product and if they carried it. They said they do, and have it in stock in the 1 gallon size container that I needed. Get to the store for them to tell me they actually only have the one quart container and that they don't even carry the one gallon size. Chippewa location said they had it according to their website and they did the same exact thing to me.

Too bad I can't give a good review. I shipped a couple of vintage, hard to find truck mirrors through them 2 months ago and one was lost. I've had to call about a dozen times to get anything done on a reimbursement, 3 trips to the store and only $30 from the ~$80 it cost me. They filed a claim through their shipping insurance but still haven't heard anything back.To the owner of the store, Joel Jacobson. I would think you would have Steve checking the mail more than once a week, its in front of the store! How lazy are the people you employ?It would have been cheaper for me to just throw the mirrors in the garbage!!!Lost a customer perminently.

It's a shame the three local stores are owned by the same owners because now three stores will be gone due to poor management. I rarely stop there about once a year as I have always had poor outcomes when dealing with the store staff. Went in this time and the manager asked me what I was looking for and I told him and he directed me to the wrong end of the store then when I found the product I needed I approached the register at the same time as a lady with a full cart and rebate slips. I had one item and the manager waved her ahead of me so I could wait and I did for the 5 minutes then explained why I rarely visit the store and why I would not return. They are trying hard to make themselves the vicim.

They always have everything I need for thr most part. Everyone is super friendly. I get asked for an ace rewards but I say every time I dont have one but I'm never offered it.I opened my own rewards online. Got everything I needed today and then some

I normally love this store, it's location and how easy it is to shop there. This morning however, I encountered a difficult transaction. Ill informed employees about coupons given by the same store and lacking knowledgable about commonplace merchandise. Cashier was condescending, unapologetic, and not grateful for my business. What upset me most, was wanting to file a complaint and told to go online to mediate with corporate. I want a small family owned and friendly experience and did not get that today.

It is nice to have a great store like this in my neighborhood. The staff is very helpful, and friendly. They are knowledgeable, and make sure you get the right item you are looking for. The store is clean, they have a wide variety of items.

Whats with there live bait?? All 5 times I've bought minnows there they all die before the end of the day... don't matter if its the middle of winter for ice fishing or in the summer.. There kept cold in a minnow bucket with a aerator and the water from there tanks.. but yet they die off quickly! Wish the bait shop down on Birch Street was still open, there minnows lasted for days!!
