The staff is so welcoming and friendly. They were the only people that we brought our shy cat Lucy to see who she wasn't terrified of. She trusted them and they did so much to help her. Even at the end of her life they accommodated her despite a busy schedule.They were sweet and caring in helping our cat pass. She was comfortable and didn't feel any pain. We could tell she trusted them to give her the best care, even when helping her pass. They made the atmosphere so calm, had great relaxing music, a dim room, and we could barely hear any of the other many guests there at the time.Understanding of our complicated situation, Dr Emily Olund, Sam, and all the rest of the staff did everything they could to make us feel comfortable with what was happening. We never felt rushed, and we got to give the goodbye we wanted for our sweet little girl, Lucy.

I recommend Healthy Pet Altoona to everyone! I started out in Chetek driving from Altoona because I loved the care these guys provided. I was so happy that they opened a clinic in Altoona. Our dog still goes to boarding in Chetek. When in Altoona we've had such amazing experiences and I know my animals are so loved. They truly care about each and every animal. They give you the best options and don't try to oversell different solutions or options. It is ultimately your choice. Everyone there is awesome very caring and they are great with pets they also take very good care of your pet and are there for them when you cannot be give updates let you know what is going on etc I would definitely recommend them to anyone there the greatest 🙂

Iv been going to another vet for years but this one opened and is much closer to my home. They’ve been difficult to work with at times, the vet is nice but the techs can be rude. When my dog had an emergency they were able to get me in but completely overcharged me and continued to be overly expensive. They wanted $50 just for a foot bandage. I went and got the same supplies at fleet farm for $10 which made multiple bandage changes. They had me keep his foot wrapped for a week, which I turn led to infection and he had to be put back under, recleaned and then they wanted me to keep it uncovered. I don’t feel I should have been charged for the second visit and cleaning since it was their direction that led to infection.Today I called to pick up a steroid injection for my cat that has allergy issues, this has not been an issue in the past. Now they want him to come in for a wellness exam. He’s had the same diagnosis for 8 years which comes and goes and we give him the injections to calm it down. They have no appointments today so by Monday or whenever they can get me in he’ll have no skin left. I’ll call my other vet who is never difficult and is always willing to help and puts the animals first.

Kind and amazing team that want the best for your pet, but won't push extra stuff on you just to make a sale. They truly want what is best for your fur child and dote on them endlessly. They did amazing treating my foster puppy for her back leg hairline fracture, and even took the extra step to comfort me about how her leg was broken and say over and over again that it wasn't my fault, and it's something that happens when you work with animals regularly. I slipped and fell with her in my arms, it was a very very awful experience. I still felt awful, but it was comforting to know the experts didn't blame me.

We trust and definitely recommend Healthy Pet Altoona. The staff there are very knowledgeable and helpful. They got us in right away when we needed to have our dog looked at. They follow up and return calls promptly. Plus.. they don't charge and arm and a leg for their services! Small and personable vet clinic, and if we trust you with our Bailey, you are top notch! So excited to have you in Altoona!

Our experience was as good as could be expected of a top notch clinic. We had a sick cat and they got us in for a checkup and tests when two others would not consider us for weeks. We were very concerned and stressed out about our cat and they did everything possible to diagnose what was wrong and give us a path to helping out pet. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Helpful explanations were given and I will be using them again for future pet needs.

I went in with my dog Emma for vomiting issues. I shared everything I knew to doctor schuster about her issues. She gave me a variety of options but suggested to have at least 1 x-ray done before the long weekend. She was 100% right and saved my dogs life. Once again she gave me options on how to proceed without any judgement of my financial abilities. I had her and her magnificent team take my dog into her hands. My dog was comfortable and never showed any signs of fear with any of the staff. A+rating by me. I don't fear the vet anymore. I know my animals will have the absolute best treatment possible!

Nothing but good things to say! I started to call other vets when our current vet was not able to get our dog in for at least 3 weeks. Healthy Pet answered right away and was able to get our dog in the next day. We saw Dr. Schuster, explained our concerns, all of which she addressed. She was very kind and personable. In addition, all of the support staff were great and attentive. From the time we called to the time we left the appointment we recieved great service. We have decided to change vets and our pups will be going to Healthy Pet from now on. 😊

Highly recommend. They were able to get my cat in within a few hours (when all the other clinics in the area were booked out the next few days or weeks) and it possibly saved her life. So thankful for them. Dr. Cori and the staff are all so nice and the clinic is new and clean. THANK YOU! <3

I needed to get my 6 months old cat spayed sooner than my regular vet could do it. They were able to get me in within 2 weeks. Dr. Cori was amazing. My situation with my Ragdoll was unique and she was understanding. We developed a plan for the future and brought her in the next day for a spay. What I like about this place is1. The cost was VERY reasonable.2. I could pick up my baby same day of surgery. No overnight stay.3. I received a call back the next day to check in on my kitten to see how she was doing. I had yet to receive after visit follow up from any other local vet and I've been to a few.I really encourage anyone looking for a great place to call the Altoona location. Thanks Healthy Pet!

Dr Cori and her staff were excellent during our first visit! I was able to get in same week as calling. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Cori and her tech were very thorough, took the time to ask questions and give me all the info I needed, without feeling rushed. Glad to be working with a friendly office as we start down this treatment journey with my dog!

First time going here, but it won't be the last! They were very gentle and sweet with our sick kitty. And very kind and compassionate with us. We were there a bit longer than they expected for us, but an emergency came in and only 2 doctors were available (it was just before the holidays) Both the vet and vet tech kept apologizing for keeping us. But Healthcare is healthcare...when an emergency happens, it's all hands on deck.

Thank you guys so so much! Our cat wasn’t feeling well; they were able to see her next day even as a new patient. Needed xrays, surgery all same day. She saw Dr. Shuster who was very kind and thorough in her explanations of what happened, needed to happen etc. This is the sickest our baby had ever been her whole life and since she is both mine and my boyfriend’s first pet we were extremely concerned and worried but they took care of her so well. I had started a new job and felt so awful I couldn't be there for the first appointment and they didn’t miss a beat in looping me in when we came to get her. They were understanding of the fact she is a spicy floofer. The front desk was great. When Dr. Shuster was finishing up she was attentive to check in and let us know what was going on. The nurses were also great. 100/10 will come back for all further visits. Thank you so so much!
