1 week ago today our Macy was vomiting and had diarrhea. She would not eat even her favorite treats. They diagnosed her with pancreatitis and gave us a lot of medication. We live in Nebraska and thought we was taking her home to lay her to rest. Our Vet was still open and seen her the same day. Our Vet examined her and said she would have prescribed the same medications.Yes, it was costly but they had to run tests and keep staff 24/7. We are grateful that they were there when we needed them. The photo is 1 week later.

I can not speak highly enough for the generosity, professionalism and empthy shown from the staff and Veterinarian that helped us put our cat Spencer to rest. He began to suffer greatly at the end from kidney failure and couldn't get him in quickly to our regular Vet. There is no harder time for a family, then one that is losing a beloved furry family member. When time came, I am grateful that I had such caring staff to assist in the end Journey. This goes to show how much these professionals care about what they do and in the manner which they provided it. My family and I, are forever grateful to those at Allied Veterinarian Services.

We arrived at 330, 5 minutes after an emergency situation had been bright in with another dog. We were not time for almost an hour, then waited another hour to be seen by the vet, the whole time no communication about how much longer, or that there was a sourish occurring that would make us wait longer. The cost alone for sitting in a hard and uncomfortable chair for over 4 hours, was not worth it.That diagnoses could have occurred over the phone, as far as I'm concerned, and then treated with medicines purchased from them.I'm unimpressed by the lack of communication, and poor informative given when we were finally, seen.

A year ago today, Allied Emergency Veterinary Service located on 2809 Golf Road in Eau Claire, WI killed my dog Marco. I was shocked at how uncompassionate and disconnected with the dog loving community, you serve, you are. For over 15 years Marco and I were only ever separated for a few months due to military service, but you separated us for the rest of eternity. I’ve never known a less professional, colder and more incompetent veterinarian in my life.

Nobody wants to be in a situation where they need the services of an emergency vet, but I was exceptionally grateful for the care and compassion displayed by everyone here when our pup got into something toxic on a walk. They were kind but upfront about the situation at hand. Our sweet boy is back to his normal self, though I don't think the lecture about not eating things on the side of the road has sunk in...Hope if we see y'all again it's at the dog park!

Words of caution to those who need emergency vet care. This happened a couple months ago but the pain is unreal. The ER vet turned my cat away twice despite me being able to pay. The second time I reached out to them was 7:45 am Saturday morning. The sign at their location as well as everywhere online says they are open 24/7. The receptionist told me they were technically closed but then went to ask the staff of I could bring her in anyway. When she came back on she said they already had critical patients and it sounded like my cat was stable because her gums were pink. She was not stable. She was very actively dying and unresponsive between seizures. Her gums were pink until after her heart stopped so not sure why they ask that as a triage question....Likely the vet wouldn't have been able to save her and give her a good quality of life but there will always be a part that wonders what if. She died at home in my arms soon after. This was a similar experience as last year when my other cat was unresponsive, cold to the touch, and in acute kidney failure and the receptionist basically said the same thing.

Thank you for assisting our family with our beloved dog Leela’s enteral rest. She was almost 17 years old and was a big part of our family. Your staff was very caring and gave the family as much time as we needed with her. And from the time we entered the building, to the time we left , the staff was very supportive.

Scam artists!! We just had our 8 week old dog flown in from Oklahoma. Well she wasn't eating, had severe diarrhea and was really tired. Naturally we were worried, being new dog parents. We were scared she was going to die before she had a chance to live. So we go to the Allied Emergency Vet to see if our dog was OK. They run a bunch of expensive tests that end up costing $900! Then tell us to go buy some some corn syrup and she should be fine! Looking back I know that she was just sad about leaving her family in Oklahoma and getting used to new dog food. I'm shocked that the vet hadn't told us that and saved us $900. Not to mention the tests they ran were super invasive! They took advantage of our worry for our dog! So my recommendation is to not go there unless your dog is non responsive. When you do go, bring A LOT OF CASH!!!

I went to allied because my regular vet was on vacation . Unfortunately , I had to say goodbye to my best friend that day . They made sure everything was as easy as possible for me and were so sweet and kind . They put us in a nice room and let me spend as much time with my dog as I wanted and gave us cat food and chocolates . They were so kind and hugged me after , a week later I received a hand written letter signed by everyone that met my pup that day and 3 paw and nose prints from my dog 🏻 . I really appreciate everyone there

We had a very scary moment with our pup, and rushed her to Allied Veterinary Clinic. They were kind, compassionate, informative, understanding, everything you would hope for when you are afraid and unsure of whats going on. I hope we never have to return, but know where we will be going if we run into an emergency situation again.

I went there with my cat who wasn't eating, drinking and lethargic. They took him back right away and left me in the waiting room for hours. Every time someone else would come in they immediately got seen no matter the issue. I decided to leave after 5 hours without talking to anyone about the issues my cat was having. Thankfully the vet in my hometown decided to take the problem seriously unlike whoever was here. My vet told me that if my cat hadn't been treated properly as soon as he had we would've had to euthanize him.Everyone here seems clueless and unempathic. Worse experience I've ever had.

The people at Allied were extremely AWESOME AND COMPASSIONATE with our pup Arlo.He needed emergency surgery and our local vet was unable to get him in. My son, Arlos dad, said everyone there was very nice to him and very gentle and sweet to Arlo.We would recommend them very highly.

It has been 2 months since my visit to Allied Veterinary Clinic. I debated writing this that long. Here we are. My dog recently started limping (we walk every morning and every once in a while he needs a day or 2 break, this is what his regular doctor had told me) that being said, the limp didn't concern me. Well after a few days the limp was still there but not getting worse, but he had a new symptom. He had had a seizure. As you can imagine my son and I were terrified. I wanted to take him into is regular doctor but she was out for surgery and this was something I didn't want to mess around with. After a long day of not getting in anywhere, we found Allied! We were excited, and I knew there was a $200 (roughly) emergency fee. That was fine. I need to speed this up. So here we go. I walked in asking for a Lymes disease test (every clinic I talked to said start there, the limp was most likely a side effect). Right off the bat I'm asked if a $95 catheter could be placed so if he had a seizure it wouldn't make a mess... I said ok.. next I'm moved into my own room which was really nice actually. In and out the vet tech and doctor came. The doctor was very upset that I wouldn't get x-rays of that foot. I refused them since they alone were $450 and all I wanted was Lyme testing first. The tech came back waiving papers around explaining how much my bill would roughly be. $750 was around where she said. I explained that I was a single mother and I couldn't afford much but I agreed. I was blacked out basically at this point. She explained it would be expensive for blood testing but never gave an exact number. Maybe it was on the paper. But never once was I informed of the exact price verbally. Long story short after trying to get more and more forced upon me that I didn't want (2 different intravenous treatments that were unnecessary) and 5hrs later my bill came to $914... that's right you read it right NINE HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN DOLLARS LATER... $200 or so roughly more then what i was even quoted. ok I can understand a catheter (barely because animals have accidents all the time at the vet) I understand the emergency fee, I get it all. There is no reason my bill should have been more then $400 even... I was COMPLETELY taken advantage of in mine and my dogs time of need. He is better now thanks to them... but if I was not able to pay it I would have had no choice other then to put him to sleep. Not only all that, I could hear him crying (yes I know his cry) He is terrified of confined spaces, something I said. So that whole time he sat in lord knows what type of kennel crying. There is no reason he shouldn't have been able to come by me in the room. This is so sad and I'm still upset... stay away... that's all I have to say after that.

My dog needed to be seen asap due to ingesting something he shouldn't have and they took such good care of him. And they made a critical patient there a priority, which made our visit take a bit longer but this was so reassuring to me that if my boy had been the critical patient, he would be handled with urgency and utmost care cannot recommend this vet enough!

Reading some of these reviews makes me sad because I had a very positive experience with this Emergency Vet service. My cat was in distress and i waited until 3am to call them. After checking with there in office doctor. It was urgent I get my kitty in asap. When we arrived, the gal came out and took him back immedietly. The doctor shortly came out to inform me of my cats urinary blockage and would need a catheter to get the blockage out. I was given a detailed treatment plan cost from what it would cost at the most. It was my decision to move forward with treatment. They offer care credit there which is very helpful if i needed a payment option. I left him there in very good hands. Was called with updates often and assured he was doing well. Everytime i would call, they would check on him and give me an update. He is doing MuCH better and i am extremely greatful to All the staff! Thank you!!!

I can not begin to explain how amazing this facility is. We had to bring in one of my fur babies and they did everything they could to work with us as far as our financial limitations. I highly recommend taking your fur babies here if something going wrong with them. We thank you for everything you did for our baby Floki

We made the difficult decision to euthanize our 15 year old pet when she seemed to be in pain after paralysis that came on suddenly. We weren’t able to get her into our usual vet as it was after hours. We called Allied Emergency and they were able to get us in right away. Dr Sackmaster and staff were exceptional. They were so kind and empathetic. They treated Bella with great care. We would highly recommend.

Having to put down my poor cat was one of the worst experience of my life, but they made it easier. They were absolutely amazing during the whole experience. Even though everyone (and I mean everyone) was baffled of what was going on with my poor baby, they gave us the time and information we needed. I truly believe that experience couldn’t have gone better. There was nothing they could do to save my baby boy. They explained everything and made the lost of my first pet was made easier. I thank everyone there. It was worth the 1 and a half hour drive and 6 hours spent their for that care. My baby deserved that care. They saw my family struggling, and they gave us options to remember him by. They gave my sister and I jars of my babies fur, free of charge, after they heard us mention how soft it was and that we would miss it. They told us we could get his paw prints and get clay molds (One was free with cremation. The other was $23) which was extremely kind because memorabilia is important to me.This clinic was the only one remotely near me with the raving reviews and 24/7 care we were looking for. I would and will recommend this clinic to everyone in a heartbeat.

Took our dog to Allied Vet Service when she was showing alarming signs at home of dehydration, bloody diarrhea, and lack of eating. They kept her for about 24 hours, said the bloody diarrhea had stopped, and although she was not eating, allowed her to come home. Less than 6 hours later, it all started again. We called and asked if we should bring her back in, but instead, they said it was fairly normal in these cases and that we should wait it out. So we took her to Madison where she ended up needing to be hospitalized for another 5 days due to severe pancreatitis and zero improvement of symptoms. While the care we had while we were there was good, I was quite upset that they said it was normal when my dog was clearly still very sick.

Spent $1400 on my cat to have his urinary tract unblocked and the vet here refuses to okay a prescription for the medicated cat food. Since they don’t do “follow up care” even though it’s not really follow up care when that’s the food he needs from now on to make sure crystals don’t form anymore. No other vet clinics have openings anytime soon, so I don’t know what to do. Seems like a big scam to get us to bring him in for another emergency appointment. They don’t actually care about your pet they just want the most possible money.

Allied went soooo far above and beyond to try and save our dog. While the circumstances did not work for him, their honest care, compassion, love, and understanding was FELT. I would give more than 5 if I could.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE !!!!! ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY !!! We came in with a 1 month old puppy after oakwood hills denied us help. They said that we needed to pay 210$ up front for the puppy to even be examined. We then told them that we didn’t have the money and that we couldn’t pay but the puppy needed to be seen . The puppy was pissing itself, throwing up, was disoriented, lathargic, and dehydrated. HOWEVER …. THEY OFFERED TO PUT THE DOG DOWN FOR FREE!!! after we had told them we couldn’t pay they told us the only emergency vet / vet that would offer us a payment plan was 4. Hours away

From the second they took my call, to getting in and being seen, they were amazing. This is my first dog,i have had him for 12 years and first time he has ever been really sick that i need an ER. They did a great job keeping me informed of what they had to do, what tests and why. Never talked down to me, even though I just rushed out of the house forgetting my leash and the medication he was on. I had to call back home to get the name of it. They were understanding. They looked over all his records from his primary vet. Came up with a great plan of action and made sure I understood what was wrong and the treatment plan. I hope I would never have to be in a place that I would have to see them again, haha, but It is actually comforting to know that if an emergency does arise again, I know we will be treated well here!

Lady on the phone was useless my poor dog has kennel cough and I called to see if he could get medication. We live an hour away and this is the emergency vet number provided to us. What a joke they refuse to send him medication. I can't take him in to be seen today Everything is about money at these vet clinics. Very disappointed with the emergency vet service they said they can't give him medication when all other vet clinics have done this before.

All ERs were refusing service within 1.5 hours of me when my 11 year old dog was vomiting every 30 minutes for over 8 hours on a weekend.Drove 3 hours to my parents to bring him here. We had a long wait which is expected, but he was seen and treated and that’s what matters. I would have had to wait at least a week or longer for any vet at home to see him.The student vet who treated him was very nice and professional and did a great job at explaining everything.

My mom's cat had a stroke, and the vet kept saying it might be her pancreas. Keep in mind that she can't move her hind legs and her pupils are wide open. Instead of charging the 300 and telling us what was really wrong, they tried to sell us $5200 for something she obviously didn't need. And before any blood work and x rays were even done, the vet was spewing about 500 other things it might be. very unprofessional, in my opinion.

I am so greatful for places like this. These people have the worst hours and still take abuse from people who don’t appreciate them. They triage pets immediately to assess if they are urgent or not. My dog Easton was vomiting for a couple days. I took him to my Vet in the morning and she thought he had an obstruction, she referred me to this emergency clinic. I told her I had called 4 in the cities and no one could take me. When I arrived they took him back and brought him back to me and said they would get to me as soon as they could. I waited about 1 1/2 hours which was not bad at all. When they got to us they explained everything and told me about cost. We were looking at surgery in the beginning. After talking with a Radiologist he was not convinced it was an obstruction and further testing was done to rule it out. I left him there and they were in contact with me about results. It took a little longer then anticipated but it was worth it to rule out no surgery and the true cause was pancreatitis. My only wish is that they would have an ultrasound machine. I do think they will have one in the future. The doctors and tech were great! Owning pets is a luxury now and not a privilege! Thank you to the staff and for all they do for our pets, who are our family!

We had to take our kitty Poké here last week (1.5 years old). The poor little guy was in so much pain, and had an abscess that had developed on his right hind leg. The staff were knowledgeable, kind, and courteous. We were unaware that Eau Claire had an overnight veterinary emergency department, but glad we were led here. They helped address Poké’s pain and get him on antibiotics so he could heal up. They were also very up front with expected wait times. This is helpful when you are tired and it is the middle of the night. We thought their fees were reasonable given it was emergency department treatment. I rated them a 4/5 because I thought their service was good, with yet some opportunities to make it even better.

Extremely exceeded my expectations for an emergency vet service. We had to drive over 90 miles one way to get here and we spent like 6 hrs total on a Sunday night figuring out what was wrong with our Bengal cat. The staff were amazingly nice, kind, and helpful. The Vet was one of the best Vets we have ever had to explain and go through medical information with us.
