Looking for somewhere to have lunch other than a fast food chain. Came across Gus’s Drive -In (East Troy WI) So happy to have stopped here. The folks behind the counter were so friendly & made us feel welcomed. Extremely clean environment with perfect decor & great quality food for a drive-in. Highly recommend if you’re ever in the East Troy area!

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Gus’s before because I've been coming here for years. They have such good service here and they’re always really fast despite being busy literally all the time. The food is always fresh and delicious and their portions are really generous. Today I had probably the best fish fry of my life so I had to leave a review! We usually order a gyro and I split it with my son because they’re gigantic. My husband loves their burgers, and the chive fries are a favorite. I love the online ordering system because it’s super easy and quick!Kid-friendliness: Lots of fun games for kids and claw games are easy winners so you’re not wasting a ton of money on them

Such a gem of a place! The restaurant is super clean, the staff was so kind and friendly. The food was delicious, we didn’t have to wait long and the games on the inside kept the kids entertained. Such a neat place, definitely will be back. Lots of other food we’d like to try as well. Worth the drive for sure!Kid-friendliness: Several different kids meals to pick from

Saw the billboard on the interstate and googled it. Looked good so we took a chance. Staff was so nice. Chatted with us, asked how we found the place. Turns out it was Gus himself. He was genuine in inviting us back when the weather is nice for the classic car shows in the summer. Food was yummy and tasty! Loved the sour cream and chives fries!

Gus opened when I lived here as a teenager back in the mid 2000s and I used to frequent it back then. Moved to the American SW in 2006. I moved back in winter 2020. I get Gus’s usually once a week, sometimes 3 times a week… between the Chicago Dogs, the Gyros, and cheeseburgers I am set every day of the week. Gus is usually there and there is always a friendly face! The food is outstanding. I usually order online and it’s ready on time every time.

So, I've pretty much tried everything on their menu, and it's all good. Don't expect onion rings on Fridays. The fryers are busy with their delicious fish fry and fries. Chicken is also amazing if you can stand a little wait. Get some chili cheese fries to hold you over. Trust me, it's worth it. Don't forget a brownie sundae! I drive an hour for this place...I wouldn't send you here if it wasn't fantastic.Closing date is December 16th for the 2023 season so hurry up and get here!Parking: Depending on time and day of the week there are plenty of spots. If it's during a car show, forget it.Kid-friendliness: Lots of fun options, kids menu, fun little games to keep them busy. Bring quarters!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps going into place.

We stopped here for a late lunch after my son’s neurologist appointment. Never even heard of this place before, what a cool surprise!! The decor is bright with a lot to look at but incredibly clean & not over crowded with obstacles (important for my disabled son). Staff were friendly & informative. Food tasted fresh & delicious & was fairly priced. Obviously a well liked place because it was fairly busy for late afternoon (around 2PM) on a weekday, especially given its location. Very family friendly. We will definitely be back.

Perfect American small town dinner. The food is consistently great and I love the old classic cars and motorcycles that come cruising in making the whole atmosphere fun and relaxing to be at. Overall a great place to hang out.

Only wish I could of thought to take some pics cuz they were worthy of it. Talk about the BEST-BEEF SANDWICH, I could of ever had. I grew up by the back of the yards, the old neighborhood in Chicago where these types of Beef sands are a dime a dozen and I'm going to tell you this place by far has any beef stand beat In Southern Wisconsin. Thank you Gus.

Very fun place to take your classic car on Saturday evenings cruise night. Fresh tasty drive in food items and ice cream treats for very reasonable prices.Parking: Get there early to score a good parking spot, the lot fills quickly. There is plenty of additional parking in the grass across the street if the lot is full.

This is a great place to grab a burger. The atmosphere is retro and unique. If you like cars, stop in on Saturday nights and you can see some awesome rides. They also have good ice cream if you need something refreshing on a summer day.

It was my first Time at Gus's Drive In Tonight. I have heard of this place before but I have never been there before. I came out to East Troy for my Nephew's Baseball Game. Afterwards my Family asked me to come out to Gus's Drive In. I like places like this. They have good food. I had the Heavy Chevy Burger with a soda & some mozzarella sticks. I am a picky person when it comes to Cheese Burgers. It is hard to find a place that makes a real Good Old Fashioned thick burger. I don't like places that make toilet paper thin burgers of use a lot of fillers in their burgers like McDonald's or even some of these sit down restaurants. I was impressed with the size of the burgers at Gus's Drive In which were 1/2 Lb. burgers. The mozzarella sticks are awesome. The Waitress was friendly & polite. The Staff that brought out the order was friendly & polite. The prices were good. I have always liked places with Neon Lights. I Love that they play 1950's music.
