By far the most charming shop in Eagle River. The vibe is Anthropologie meets local boutique with a very nicely curated selection of women’s clothing, jewelry, home goods, gifts, and more. I bought a very cute notecard pack with illustrated typography and a wonderfully scented candle in a very unique rustic ceramic container. The employees are also a delight and very knowledgeable about the products. Next time I’m in town, I’ll definitely be stopping in to see what new goodies they have!

I was so sad that Urban Nest in Sparta became Cotton and Birch. Not because of the name change, but because of how much the store changed. It used to take me an hour or more to browse the store, and the variety and price of gifts was awesome. The variety of clothing was also wonderful and it was an experience I looked forward to taking my family on during holiday visits. Now, there is not a lot of variety and everything there is expensive. It took me 5 minutes to walk through and see everything. I used to spend at least $500 there during the holidays. This time I spent $100 and I will not be going back.

Such a pleasant surprise to find such a charming little gem like this tucked away in the Northwoods. They curated so many unique pieces. The cozy winter ambiance made me feel at home and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

My go-to spot if I want to pick up a cute new shirt/dress or if I need to buy someone a gift. They carry great boutique brands like Free People but also carry very affordable labels that I had not heard of before. I never walk out without buying something and have been really happy with all my purchases.

Cotton + Birch is such a pleaseure to shop at! The sales associates are so friendly and helpful. I always find the cutest clothes and accessories, and get so many compliments on everything I buy. The clothing displays are chic, and the store is always super clean. I honestly can't say enough good things about Cotton + Birch, it's my favorite store and I'm so glad they are in Eagle River!

I was so excited to see such a beautiful store come to town. Unfortunately, the second I opened the door, the staff were dismissive, rude, and judgmental. It seemed my group and I were “beneath” their standards and we were ignored at every turn. I wouldn’t step foot in that shop again if you paid me.

I live in Oregon and called in to check on availability on a product before I ordered online. The person on the phone was extremely helpful and took my information and called me back to confirm the item was in stock. 2 business days later and my item arrived from Wisconsin to Oregon. Very helpful and very fast! Thank you again, I love your shop and will be ordering again in the future.

My favorite store in Eagle River. This boutique has it all. Cute clothes, home decor, unique candles. The perfect place to buy a gift. The staff is so nice and helpful. I highly recommend Cotton + Birch.

I was spending the week with my friend at her family’s cabin on Lost Lake, and we made a few trips into nearby towns. We came to Eagle River to get her favorite childhood candy from a local store, and on the way back, we popped into Cotton + Birch. I was blown away by the atmosphere, decor, clothing and accessories! My first thought was “I want to live in here!” It’s just so light and airy, casual and funky, with beautiful things to look at.The first thing I pounced on were these adorable fabric hair clips that come in a set of 2. My hair is very curly and it was driving me nuts because the humidity made it twice as big by the time we got there, and I couldn’t wait and clipped it back. Phew! I was immediately drawn to the rack of Johnny Was clothing, which sadly, is above my pay grade (but it’s so beautiful), but I found the awesomest cotton summer dress for only $45! I also scored an adorable olive colored scarf with tassels all around for $12, a great pair of cat-eye readers and several bars of handmade artisanal soaps.Cotton + Birch has items for every budget, with clothing from Hem & Thread and Easel, to Free People and the aforementioned Johnny Was. Accessories like jewelry, hats, scarves and gorgeous home decor. I hope to stop in again during next year’s visit!

Always has a great selection of clothing and home items. Displays are well thought out and staff is friendly. Only disappointment was I drove and hour on my weekend in town to shop and the staff wouldn’t let me bring in my dog so I had to leave.

I walked in today ready to see something I saw in the window. Although mandated for all to wear masks, not one sales associate had a mask on. Walked out immediately. I'm ready to support local business. Bought things at Walkabout where all had on masks.
