1000000% satisfied with the birds I ordered from this company! I got 30 Coturnix quail chicks and within 48 hours all 30 arrived at the post office in one piece. I had one fatality within the first 24 hours which is expected because they are such tiny birds and I had them shipped from Wisconsin to Maryland so no fault to the farm whatsoever! I had another pass later due to totally preventable reasons. But now I have 28 three week old quail and they are incredibly healthy, I didn’t face any parasite or mite issues or pasty butt. And besides one perfectly healthy runt called Little Guy, all have grown large and very quickly! I’m also super super happy to have gotten the mix that I did, as chicks are sold assorted, I have wild colors, all white, white and tan, white and black, beautiful checkered Italians, and one shimmering silver that literally reflects light. Couldn’t be happier with the birds I received and the constant reminders and help that the company provided. 10/10 will buy from again (photo is just in the tub they stay in while I clean the brooder)

We ordered 12 button quail eggs in January. They shipped fast (within 3 business days). We recieved 20 eggs that were securely packaged. On day 10, we candled the eggs and 13 were viable. All 13 hatched on day 17 with no trouble. They are almost 2 weeks old and have been healthy since day one! We have a variety of colors - no 2 look alike. They are beautiful!

I ordered 6 call ducks through Purely Poultry. They were shipped Monday night and got here Wednesday morning, all alive and well! I had another order from a different hatchery ship earlier on Monday, and they have not arrived yet, so I am impressed with the shipping! I'm even more impressed with how friendly and confident these little guys are! Every time I have ordered ducklings in the past, they've been very skittish to the point where they never become friendly. I'm guessing they had a bad experience with the first humans they came in contact with. Which leads me to believe Purely Poultry handled these ducklings with care 💕. I will definitely continue ordering ducklings through Purely Poultry! Thank you!

I order 100 Cornish Cross chicks. I was sent 105. I butchered last week 99 6.5 pound chickens...These chickens were like none I have ever seen...They looked like they had been lifting weights! I will be ordering again next year. The customer service was excellent!!! I called to try and add more chickens to my order of 28 Salmon Faverolles, I was able to except for one breed that just wasn't hatching, but this gal worked and worked to make it happen. My Salmon arrived with the two other breeds I order with them. I lost two of the Salmon but if my service is good as it was in the past, things will get worked out just fine. I am very very happy with all my chicks. AND the customer service. By the way, I have been raising chicken for meat for years and this has been by far the best experience ever!!!

To give them a 1 star is being nice. I ordered 50 broiler chickens back in December and by the time 9 weeks came we had 28 to butcher. Their fatality rate is awful. Not to mention we had to feed them longer because their breed stays very small and weighted no more than 3 lbs after 9 weeks, so we lost our money on the first batch. Unfortunately we had already pre-ordered April for 50 more broilers for May 26 and they were all delivered dead! We now use Moyer's and have had amazing results out of 100 broilers we have 96 to butcher next week and they alreadyweigh 6.5-7 lbs! Also still never received my refund as Lisa said the check was in the mail on June 4th takes 12-15 days.....still waiting.

Love this place! Ordered cornish cross birds twice now! First batch shipped and a couple died and purely poultry made it right on my second order by adding what was lost! Second order made it 100%! Fast shipping, healthy birds! I'm surprised at the good genetics of these cornish cross! They grow great and no health problems with any of them yet! No heart issues no leg issues so happy they are so healthy!

Update 05/23/23, this year i purchased black marans, french black copper marans and 6 of whichever brown egg layers. Again, very happy with their service and baby chicks. All arrived alive and healthy. All still alive.Summer of 2022, I purchased black ameraucana baby chicks. VERY HAPPY with their service and product. To my surprise, I received 2 extra chicks. All chicks are healthy and very active.

WARNING BEFORE ORDERING FROM PURELY POULTRY. They do not tell you when you place your order but these birds may spend up to 5 days in transit with no food or water. There are many other companies like mcfarlane pheasants who take care and send the birds overnight. Purely Poultry teeters on the edge of animal cruelty in their shipping practices. Please visit your local IFA store if you are just ordering chickens and if you are ordering game birds please use an alternative site. Purely poultry needs to add a disclaimer for their shipping practices as well as an overnight option to be considered ethical. I canceled my second order with them and had to pay a 10 dollar cancelation fee, gladly will pay it to avoid the cruel practices of purely poultry.UPDATE! 6/4: Birds came today, yes I spoke to a rep and I didn't want to blast her publically, but did sent a private feedback note, there was NO MAGIC GEL IN THE BOX but there were 8 BIRDS DEAD ON ARRIVAL probably 4-5 more will be dead by tomorrow. Didn't get a call back from anyone yesterday. Almost posted picture the dead birds in the box but wanted to spare people of that.Everyone in my social circle has been impacted by this stressful week, they might post their experience as well. Man I hope the owner calls me back today. Great website though.Update 6/11 Same Day 12 dead. Wow how do you stay in business.

Never got my eggs and I never got a refund!I ordered hatching eggs from them the beginning of August and they were supposed to ship out within 5 days.I called because I never got tracking information. They told me they couldn’t ship the egg’s because of a “family emergency” and would get a email about a refund with 1-3 business days.That was WEEKS ago.Their phone is off the hook and they do not respond to any emails.So I guess I just got scammed out of my $61?

Don't even think about using this place. I ordered started pullets for delivery and they promptly took my money and told me someone would be in touch within days. When it got toward shipment time (2 weeks later), and there was no communication, I reached out and was told they'd get back to me. Days later (after the original shipment date) and multiple attempts to speak to someone, I was told the owner was in a car accident so the order would be further delayed, and I just needed to be patient. I understood until my attempts at getting a new shipment date were altogether ignored. Requests for a refund have also been ignored. I'm not sure what they think I owe them in terms of patience, but I'm officially out of it. Their website now claims they're closed (no emails to let existing customers know this) but they are still advertising on Facebook. Shop elsewhere so you can actually get your birds!

Purely Poultry did a fantastic job getting me my call ducks (with a shout-out to USPS) I ordered 4 black bibbed and 4 snowy calls. I ordered on May 24 with an expectation that I'm late to the party and might have to wait a little bit nope within a day I received an email notifying me my hatch date was on the 30th, just 5 days away, and sure enough recieved them on the 1st on June. The ducks arrived alive and well, I can't believe how energetic they were when they got into their area, I had no worries about the health of any of them. Thanks so much for making this my easiest duck purchase by far!

We ordered 25 female indian runners of random color. The company gave updates of when the ducklings would hatch and ship so we knew when to expect them. They shipped to our local post office where we picked them up. They all made the journey healthy. They are growing well and are a nice flock.

My experience with purely poultry is bitter sweet. I ordered 30 bob white quail which were shipped exactly when they were supposed to and arrived on time, the weather was not in my side. Living in Tennessee the weather can be very unpredictable we got a freezing night in the shopping process. I have few quail left but the ones I have are healthy and strong after communicating with purley poultry they gave me a complete refund for my order. Sandy went above and beyond to make things right and went out of her way to be sure to communicate clearly with me!

I canceled my order and they never refunded me. After I asked them for a refund they quit responding. I told them if they don't give me my refund then just send me the birds anyway. Still nothing they just took my money and ignored me after.

I've had a great experience with Purely Poultry. We ordered ducklings and the order experience was great. Sandy in customer service was an amazing source of information and the communication during shipping was excellent. Sadly our order went absolutely all wrong, however, the team at Purely Poultry was there for us along the way and made sure everything got worked out. I'm really glad to have them as a resource as we are learning how to raise ducks.

We ordered 100 Cornish cross broilers from Purely Poultry and a week later ordered some from Townline hatchery. We did a side by side comparison a week apart and the birds from Purely Poultry are, by far, a better breed stock. They are HUGE, all cockerels like we ordered, they tractor well and eat like machines. The Townline stock do not compare in size or health. We had losses with shipping from Purely Poultry but they refunded us quickly without issue. Their birds cost a dollar more but by far worth the extra buck when they come in weighing pounds more than other hatcheries cronish cross. Highly recommend.

We got 30 quails and it is only the 2nd day and half are dead. About every hour I find 2 more dead. 2 were dead on arrival, the box was too small they were laying on top each other, we didn't get the electrolytes and prebiotics we ordered with them. Almost 150 dollars wasted for birds that just drop dead every hour. I have raised a lot of birds and never once had an issue like this. We will try to contact them when they open and get this situated. They need to be nurtured for a week at the facility they are shipped too young and are cramped in shipping. They eat and drink fine, they have a huge box and a heat lamp but they are just dropping like flies. Very disappointed hopefully this is resolved.Update- On the third day they all died. There were 5 left and when I woke up on the 4th day they were dead from over night. The company only wants to refund half our money for just the birds not even the stuff that they didn't ship out to us.

I want to edit this review to say they Even called me today (a day after I picked them up) to check on my order to see how they are doing!Ordered 10 call ducks Feb. 11th got a eta date of March 20th a few days later, got a reminder call March 13th and on March 21st in the am I got an email saying my order was shipped and a few hrs later I got a call from the post office. My ducks shipped from North Dakota to Pennsylvania in less than 18 hrs, all arrived alive and seem to be healthy also got an extra! So excited and would order from again. Ordered 4:50pm on Friday night. I Was so excited when the eggs arrived Monday morning, because I didn't even expect them to ship until Monday. They must have raced to the post office, and I appreciate it! Package was labled fragile and packed neatly. Recieved a bonus free egg, thank you! Things do not always work out perfectly, but it is clear that this company cares and puts effort into that care. Thanks again for my 12 jumbo WI bobwhite eggs!

I tried to place an order online close to there scheduled maintenance time. The website even had a banner warning me about the maintenance down time. Due to my own procrastination I was late to order chicks and scrambling to find a hatchery that could fill my order to make my deadline with the processor. I filled out all the information and placed the order I was prompted with a notification saying failed due to communication and to try again or call them. It was 11pm I wasn’t going to call them so I tried again and same result. The next morning checking my bank account I noticed that I had been charged twice. Checked my email and no order confirmation. I called the hatchery and Amber picked up the phone she was very polite and pleasant to talk to. After I explained the situation she told me that there were no active orders and with the charges still pending they should drop off after 24 hours. The next day I noticed that both charges when though and I had been charged so I called again this time I got to talk to Sandy. Sandy is also top tier customer service very pleasant and cheerful. She was already aware of the situation so I wasn’t starting back at square one (props to their internal communications!) She assured me that she was on it but had a company meeting and she would call me back.When she called back she had resolved the issue got my refund and placed my order for the 58 chicks. Overall Very happy with the service they provided! Amber and Sandy need a raise! 6 STARS

This was my first experience ordering chicks online and was extremely nervous about the idea. I read the reviews and had extremely mixed emotions. So happy to share all my chicks arrived in perfect condition and 2 days later are perfectly healthy and thriving! Based on quality and health of chicks I give 5 stars. The only issue was the late shipping notification which lead to a hectic morning arranging to pick them up from post office. Received the notice at 11 pm, when I checked I discovered they had already been shipped the day prior and thank goodness we were able to change work/baby schedule around so the chicks didn’t have to sit more than 30 min after the post office opened. However I will definitely recommend Purely Poultry to anyone considering ordering chicks online.

I will only buy from them :) I highly recommend them, plus they offer vaccination which is a huge plus for me. And they offer a selection that is hard to find anywhere else. This is my first time ordered from purely poultry and over all it was a good experience.Pros- I was amazed at the selection of bantam chickens they offered. They were able to offer a lot of unique birds that I haven’t been able to find elsewhere. With a lot of the online hatcheries, you have to order a certain amount of chickens to ship. although I had to order 15 bantams to get them to ship, I was really grateful that they had the option to pick one of each variety whereas A lot of places you have to get at least three of each kind. So with purely poultry I was able to get the variety I wanted. They also have GREAT selections of all the bantams, I was able to find a blue laced red Wyandotte and a lemon blue old English game bird that I’ve searched far and wide for. All my chicks arrived healthy and they even sent an extra!Cons- I placed my order on March 12 and at the time it said bantams would ship out in April. I was told I would get an email within a few days with a ship date. After a week or two I noticed they still haven’t emailed me a ship date and they also changed the shipping dates online. It was a little difficult to actually get ahold of them at first, but when I did they were very polite and helpful. They’re sort of like a middle man it seems, so there’s only so much they can do. I got a ship date of may 19 and would be told I would get an email when they shipped. That didn’t happen until after the post office called and told me they had them. Funny, I got an email saying they shipped ten minutes after I got home with the birds. I doubt that’s their fault though, probably something with the hatchery not communicating with them in a timely matter.Over all, the cons where mostly minor annoyances and I would 100% buy again or recommend this company. The only big con is them not being on top of when the birds ship. They’re live animals and since you have to pick them up at the post office, it would be nice to have actual shipping notifications.

I had ordered 50 jumbo bobwhite quail eggs to be delivered mid March. Well they came in February for some reason but we adapted and dealt with it. On lockdown day I canceled my eggs and sadly 4 out of 50 had been fertile and for what ever reason didn't grow after day 5ish. We were so disappointed, I called the next day and spoke with Sandy before and after the team meeting. She made it right. We have 50 more eggs on the way.Even though they do not offer a hatch guarantee, they do offer a fertility guarantee. So my suggestion is to speak kindly offer the facts and see what the WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE can do. I will order from you guys again. Thank you so much for all of the help! I will be in communication with the new batch of eggs. Fingers crossed!!!

It is nice to do business with people who care.I have always had 100% live arrivals, have always received healthy chicks, and your customer service has always been excellent.I have been disappointed with chicks I've gotten elsewhere, but never with your company.Keep up the great work!
