This place isn't too far from the state park Governor Dodge, if you fish, this place has you covered, from live bait, hooks, fake bait, line weights, fishing poles. She also sells really good ice cream. So if you need a break from fishing, hiking, driving long distances, or just because, I recommend stopping out and experiencing her shop. She also sells small sheds too. Just want to add that she does hold certain events at her shop, like chili cook off for example. Kate is an awesome person and her workers are just as nice too,and it's always been a positive experience and vibe there. She does have a FB page too, you can check out whatever she's got going on.

Met Kate today during the free ice cream event and she was awesome. She was able to assist me with respooling my broken fishing rod I picked up on vacation and she has an amazing little shop. Right next to governor dodge! 10/10 stop in for the experience

A great, woman owned small business! Has a nice selection of tackle and baits. Big name brands to plenty of local bait/lure/tackle companies!Remodeled in the last few years! Now serves ice cream during the warm months.Be sure to check her hours on Facebook, sometimes they change. (There's also local fishing reports on the Facebook page as well!) But she has a bait vending machine outside that is stocked and available 24/7. I get minnows through it often.Definitely recommend! And definitely a good place to get bait whether you're passing through to Blackhawk Lake, Governor Dodge, or heading to fish the Wisconsin River or even hopping in a nearby trout stream.

I just got to Governor Dodge with a bucket of Kate's bait, I opened the lid and a thunder roared as the minnows were the liveliest I've ever seen. I know it's cheesy but true LOL
