We ordered an entire fish tank assembly and stand online. It was ready for pick up the next day but we got there a couple days later to pick it up. The guy at the counter was super pleasant and helped us with everything. He was really busy and by himself at the front but he still took the time to come over to load our stuff on a cart for us to take to the car. He also came to the door and retrieved the cart just outside when we were done. [the weather was awful FYI and typical WI he still had on Shorts :) Adorable!] He was super nice, curtious and fun to chat with. Everything was ready and perfect. We were in and out in 5 minutes or so. My husband was thrilled because he wanted to get home to watch the end of the basketball championship game!Thanks Petco!

I had scheduled a haircut for Stormy Tuesday. I just adopted her in mid June so I didn't have any idea what to expectWhen I returned to pick up Stormy, I was so surprised! I didn't even know if this was my dog! You can see the difference in looks. Stormy and I love her new "do" and it will help with the heat and humidity. Thank you, Petro Grooming

I last week I try to buy a ferret and they wouldn't let me buy one... I had to buy too ferrets in order to take them.. I'm real disappointed because I have all four of my kids and they were really happy because we were going to get one ferret but both of the lady told us no either take too ferrets or don't take none.. I really hope they do something about they service.they need to do a way better job.

I have been into this Petco about 6 times in the last two weeks as I’ve been adding to my aquarium and setting up another. Liz and Gabby have been INCREDIBLE! Always knowledgeable, patient and looking out for my best interest as well as the interests of the fish I am selecting.Liz even went out of her way to help me select a new food for my senior, toothless dog. He loves it AND it meets his specific diet needs. She really listens and takes the time to learn so she was ready to help customers like me who aren’t quite sure what they’re looking for.I always had the fear in the back of my head that pet stores didn’t properly take care of the animals they sold, but when it comes to Petco-Delafield I couldn’t have been more wrong! I can’t speak for every store but throughout my visits I have seen what wonderful care is taken of all of the animals from snakes, to ferrets to even the beta fish!Sidenote: for those who have been put off by being recommended NOT to take a fish home the same day as your tank it’s because the tank water needs to cycle first or the chemical levels in the water can kill the fish! The staff is doing their best to look out for both the fish AND you or your kids. Nobody wants their fish to pass right away! And the staff here has the knowledge to help you have an enjoyable experience with your pet!Over all I am very pleased with my experiences, thankful for the staff, and excited for my new tanks! This is the second bad experience I’ve had at petco in the past year and I will never return! My kids and I went in looking to purchase a new furry friend (guinea pig). Prior to even going into petco we set up a brand new home for our new furry friend so we were ready! Well to our disappointment, Liz would not sell me a guinea pig because our cage was not the right cage according to Liz even though the cage I purchased through wayfair was indeed for a guinea pig! My kids were bummed and I was bummed too because he was the cutest little pig and we would have loved the snot out of him and given him the best little piggy life ever! Prior to this we had the exact same experience with Liz. We went in looking to buy a goldfish for a ten gallon tank that we had all set up and ready to go and she told me that my tank was not big enough for a gold fish!! At that time my kids were bummed and we ended up going to a different pet store purchased a gold fish and we still have our gold fish to this day and he is happy and as healthy as can be! So unless you want to feel bad about yourself and the habitat you have for your furry and non furry friends, I would go to a different pet store.

I will DEFINITELY be buying all my fish stuff from here. Why? Because of the sign promoting the safe, ethical treatment of bettas (next to the betta section). Went here yesterday to start cycling another 5.5g for yet another betta. Nothing can beat Petco sales on Aqueon tanks.I understand that corporate makes them keep bettas in cups most of the time, but I like that this store is striving to end misinformation and let potential owners know what these beautiful fish require. It will lead to longer lives and healthier fish.As a long time fish keeper, it is nice to see stores that try to set customers up with the proper equipment a fish needs. It makes me much more likely to purchase from the store. It lets me know that the employees here have knowledge on the animals they keep. I am more likely to trust them. I hope companies and other stores see the importance that signs like this have on consumers.I even posted it on a betta blog where other experienced keepers praised this store for the initiative. Thank you. I really hope this continues 🐠

The two women personal working at the at the Delafield Petco on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, were extremely knowledgeable.They helped me navigate through the myriad brands of dog food to locate the kind that would best suit my allergy prone 13 year old dog. Petco used to have a coupon book for pet adoptions. They used to carry Petco Hairball Relief Gel with Malt Flavoring in a 5oz tube. My 🐱 💘 this. Not now. 😥

Normally, I like Petco. We performed a fish rescue for an older man who couldn't take care of his tanks after a severe injury. He would be selling his home and needed everything cleaned up. His guppy tank was runaway breeding. We stopped with a bucket of the guppies to surrender them, but the boy working refused them because we did not sort them to male and female. I offered to let him cherry pick a bunch of males, but he was too busy.Without the ability to care for them, we've lost most. We were only told he had "a few" to rehome. Most Petcos sell the surrenders for donations to a humane society, or at least our regular store does. Other stores sell for profit. But they have tanks and filtration we just don't have. I know there could be genuine reasons for not being able to help, but it seemed, and he stated, he just didn't want to take the time to help with the rescue. Sorted, this was hundreds of dollars in stock.Picture is what's left in a 10g we were able to put them in at home before sorting.

I felt so bad for my puppy! Last time Ihad a great experience with another groomer. Today we went and my puppy was so freaked out. He had a sharp cut on his right leg. The groomer didn’t say anything about it. The cashier went to ask the groomer what happened. She said it had happened due to matting… not sure if that’s true or not. Either way it would be nice for her to talk to us about it.

Brandon (store manager) and Sarah (cashier) sadly just cost Petco a customer with a very high lifetime value - all over not being able to troubleshoot a $5 reward coupon that I couldn't access from my Petco account - BECAUSE THEIR APP WAS DOWN. Both said there was simply nothing they could do. The cashier told me to step outside and try - lol...which I did. I tried their WIFI, their website - nothing worked. Petco's "reward" system is almost as disappointing as their employees poor service today. I'll be taking my animals to be groomed and my wallet to buy all my pet needs somewhere else, that values my business and wouldn't give it up over a $5 coupon that was a miss on their end anyways. Sarah, for future reference- this was not a "legal" issue as you persisted to tell me, but rather a customer service issue. Good thing Pet Smart, Walmart, Target, and a couple of local business offer your exact services. People really are the value propositions of most retailers these days - sorry Petco, you scored a couple of lemons with Brandon and Sarah.

Worst pet store on the planet! A very large female employee verbally assaulted me for trying to buy fish in front of our little girl. Practically knocked us over slamming past us. She's way too angry to be working at a pet store. Will never be back. Found a great store in Brookfield instead. It's too bad one employee ruins the whole store. I will be letting everyone know about my experience to save them the trouble.

Don’t go to a Petco if you’re excited to set your child up with their first fish. They will not sell you a fish and tank at the same time! Not posted anywhere. Found out after we spent an hour selecting. My daughter is in tears.

Let me start by saying i never leave reviews, but the kindness, patience, and service we received was beyond exceptional, I even called the store for her name (Mardi)! After waiting patiently for almost 4 weeks our tank was ready for fish, Sunday I took my 3 daughters to pick some out to start, they were super excited and full of questions, Mardi was fun, patient and very knowledgeable about every question from myself and excited kids! It's so very refreshing to have a great experience in any store with 3 kids and she made it wonderful! I have been in retail management for 10 years and this is what it's all about! Thank you Mardi
