The store in general is clean and most of their general store-team members, not the pharmacy, are kind and helpful. I've been using this pharmacy for at least 5 years and I'm finally giving up on them. I can't remember the last time I was treated with warmth and kindness at the pharmacy counter. Their team seems so miserable and unhappy. (Being understaffed is never an excuse to be rude and unwelcoming.) Furthermore, their customer service skills on the phone is atrocious. They don't use common customer service phrases like, how may I help you, please and thank you. They say yeah, kay, or nothing at all when you say thank you. They are a pharmacy! Their clientele are sick and in need of help which includes empathy and compassion. I'm done with them and would NOT recommend using this location.

Store is OK, but this pharmacy is terrible. They regularly mess something up with the RX. Trying to have a refill delivered is a joke. I go into the app and every single time that I choose delivery, I get call after call after call about how my prescription is "ready for pickup" and they NEVER ship unless I call and when I do call, they make sure I know it's such a huge inconvenience for them to take my call. Why bother offering delivery in the app if you are going to make it such a hassle nobody can use it?It's also really slow every time you do have to go in person to get something. They regularly have to look in 3-4 different places to find the Rx, so it really is not very organized in there either which adds to their slow processing time.Today I called to update my insurance (which I had already done ONLINE but got a call that my RX was delayed b/c my old insurance was expired) and got hung up on THREE TIMES. When I called back the final time, had to wait for several minutes to get someone who wasn't even working at this pharmacy. They simply said, "Hold on" and transferred me. 18 minutes later I finally got ahold of someone and they were really rude. So sick of this place.

I would give zero stars if I could. Do not go to this pharmacy. I have been waiting for a prescription to get filled for 11 days. When you try calling, no one answers and if they do they cut you off and are extremely rude. I am completely done with this pharmacy and will be taking my services elsewhere.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! I have now been off of my necessary medication for four days because they have dropped the ball getting the script. They also overcharge even when shown the GoodRx app indicating a lower price for me. This Walgreens is pathetic!! They don’t even hire enough people to staff the prescription drive-through on weekends. And even when it’s open, the wait is so Ridiculously long you can sit in line for easily a half an hour or more

I came straight from the doctor but the prescription wasn't ready when I got there?!If you don't know how to work a smart phone then this isn't the pharmacy for you. The Walgreens app tells you when your prescriptions are ready and you won't get priority, even when you drive long distances to pick it up. They are short staffed so anything other than a basic refill will take days. When I explain my complaints or suggest improvements, they act like it's not their fault and they can't help me. I am not getting the service I deserve and they need to be better servants.

I'd give less if it let me. They never put in prescriptions on time, they'll hang up on you for asking status of a perscription, I've been waiting a week alone for them to approve something for me and my doctor has even reached out to them with no response at all. Just overall a horrible store not to mention how rude everyone there is. You're better off dying then waiting for them to approve or fill a perscription on time.

this has to be the worst pharmacy i’ve ever used. just tonight i’ve been on hold almost 45 minutes. my prescription for my daughter who had a severe ear infection took 2 days and me going in and forcing them to fill it. i’m getting a new pharmacy after this.

Staff is less than helpful. Items on the shelf rang up at different price than listed on the shelf. I showed the cashier where I got the items and asked her what was supposed to go there if it wasn't what is currently there, she refused to help so I told her to cancel the items. I'll definitely think twice about shopping at this store as it isn't the first time it's happened

It's no wonder why this location has low ratings. When picking out a location for a pharmacy it says open until 10 online through uw health, then call and the technician says 10 just to show up and it closed at 5. Ridiculous since people rely on their medications and the people working don't even know their hours. Sickening customer service. Get it together

Pharmacy staff is very rude.. They are very unorganized. I have came back 3 × for same prescriptions. They keep dropping the ball. Drive through is closed with no sign until you get there, Citing being understafffed. I could understand that as the pharmacy manager was about the rudest lady, I've ever encountered. We'll be switching my pharmacy.

If I could give them a negative I would. If you send a prescription here don't expect until they day after or longer and I hope it's not something serious or you'll be hospitalized before you get it. Their estimated or promise times are a joke. They could care less about their customers.

Quite literally the absolute worst pharmacy I’ve been to. The workers are rude and hang up when you call to inquire about a prescription, they never have them filled, and they never know when it will be. I just don’t get it.

For prescriptions, don’t bother with Deforest. It’s worth the drive to go to Sun Prairie as they are way more professional and a lot faster.I had a prescription from the ER set Saturday 7/8 and they still didn’t process.Called Sun Prairie and they were able to switch it and it’s ready.(This has happened with 3 of my prescriptions and 2 of my husbands)

Pharmacy staff customer service is terrible. My son has cancer, we're having insurance issues and they rudely refused to help and repeatedly stated call your insurance even though I requested a 3 way call to resolve faster. Was again rudely refused help. A female pharmacy worker smirked and laughed at me, only at me so her coworkers couldn't see, and thought it was funny I had insurance issues. Continued to smirk and laugh at me as I drove off. Pharmacy staff are unbelievably rude and absolutely worthless. Never going there ever again for any reason.

Some of the worst customer service in drive-through. Follow through with reaching out to doctors office is absolutely horrible. I understand being short staffed but being rude is absolutely not acceptable. Communication is key. If you cannot complete a task you’ve promised to do or have any issues that should be some thing that has communicated in a friendly manner. The customer service reputation seems poor consistently through the reviews.

I wonder if they are trying to decrease their pharmacy customers due to overwork. Based on the reviews and my personal experience (pharmacy staff hung up on me-not my first problem just the last straw.) looks like it's working!

I recently visited this Walgreens to grab some makeup and other household goods with my boyfriend. I am a trans woman for context, but I have never in my life experienced such bizarre behavior from our cashier. I had some items that were falling out of my hands and had to rush over to the counter so they wouldn't hit the floor. Unfortunately when I did, one of items slid off the counter and landed in the cashiers garbage can behind the counter. Immediately I heard the gentleman talking under his breath rather negatively. It took the young man about 5 minutes to find the item and he rudely said "is this yours?" And proceeded to wipe it off with sanitizer. At this point the line had grown to a good size so he called for another cashier to help. In the meantime he just stood there and did not serve us citing he had to leave because he needed to wash his hands. The other cashier came up and took everyone behind us and just left us there confused on what was happening. The cashier eventually noticed and took us after my boyfriend asked if we could be served. I was almost in tears with how disgusted I felt with the entire ordeal and will not come back. I felt discriminated and I'm not asking for them to accept me, but please be fair and polite to your customers. I'm not asking for sympathy, I just hope management takes a good look at who they are hiring. Thank you for reading this and I hope you have a good day.

My husband needed prescription medication after his surgery so we went to the pharmacy at this Walgreens. Drove up to the window and waited for 5 minutes while the tech started at the computer without acknowledging that I was sitting right in front of her. A “I’ll be right with you” would have been nice.It was 4 o clock and I provided all the info she needed almost immediately after she proceeded to help me. She told me it would be ready around 7pm. I know they are always busy so I decided to Go to Hometown Pharmacy -right next door. Was greeted immediately when I approached the window and had his meds ready in 15 min of drop off time.

After reading other reviews, I realize I am not alone. Person in pharmacy always impersonal and rude. In addition, cashier at front charged but failed to put item in bag with other stuff. Didn't notice until I got home. I called and they said it was there, but no apology. I live a half hour away, so I am essentially having to drive an hour for their mistake. With gas prices, that's a sizable cost to me for their mistake.

The people in the pharmacy are very rude and do not know how to deal with customers. When I went to ask a question the lady got very hostile with me. I went back the next day to get my order and I explained what happened to another lady and wondered if I could get my question answered and she also had an attitude and treated me like I was dumb for not knowing the answer. I understand they are short staffed and I get how frustrating that it is but please don't take it out on people who don't deserve it.

The store itself is fine. Decent selection, the staff is friendly enough. Pretty standard Walgreen's. The Pharmacy staff is absolutely terrible. I spoke with someone a few minutes ago (10:30am CST 05APR2021) who was one of the rudest people I have ever spoken with. Didn't answer the phone with a name, so I don't know it. But he was cold, dismissive, and absolutely devoid of any sort of customer service. I will tell everyone I know to avoid this Walgreen's Pharmacy. Worst Pharmacy experience I have ever had.

It’s really sad that you can tell none of the employees enjoy working in the pharmacy department especially the main pharmacist. Went in for a flu shot and wasn’t asked what I was there for, he just stabbed the needle in. You should really verify with the customer what shot they are receiving especially if there are multiple people there for various vaccines being administered at the same time.Update: my significant other gets his medication from the pharmacy here and he had a completely different pill mixed in with his medication. Seriously?!

Called pharmacy middle of the day to check on prescription. Was told it will be ready in an hour. Came back at 7:30 and they still hadn’t started on it. Now my son will go to school with no medicine for the morning.

I was just treated very rudely by the male cashier behind the counter who acted like it was my fault their doors were still open after 8pm. I get that there's a labor shortage and you people are probably scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of the labor pool, but bad customer service is probably one of many reasons why this location only has 3/5 stars. Congratulations, you've lost another customer to your hometown competitor.

So last Thursday I had surgery. Was in pain and not supposed to walk or drive. On Saturday night at around 8 my LOCAL long-time pharmacy, which I LOVE, was closed so I called the nearby chain pharmacy (pretty sure you know which one but I have been threatened with "corporate lawyers" so let's just call them "W"). I asked the pharmacist who answered the phone if she could grab me an over the counter medication and put it up at the front desk for my neighbor to pick up for me. She was extremely snotty and rude and also told me they were too "busy" to do that and proceeded to hang up on me. I was so upset I got up out of bed, bandages and all, and had my neighbor drive me over to "W" where I looked her in her face (incidentally they were not "busy" there was not one customer waiting either inside or in the drive-through) and asked her why she had been so rude to me. Today I spoke with their "manager" who asked me what I wanted to see happen. I said an apology would be nice. She said that I made the girl feel "uncomfortable" and she would not be a part of making her "team-mate" uncomfortable. I am pretty sure if she was that rude to me over the phone AND in person (she smirked and rolled her eyes) that she has treated other customers the same way and made THEM feel "uncomfortable". I am calling on all my FB friends to please support their LOCAL pharmacies when at all possible. I know damn well this would never have happened at DeForest Hometown Pharmacy they have always been EXTREMELY nice and gone that extra mile. Customer service is not a privilege, it is a right. If you can't treat your customers well you don't deserve them. Support your local pharmacies before they disappear and we are forced to be ill-treated by corporate giants!

The store itself is fine, although watch your receipts because I have found multiple mistakes on things like receiving rewards...if you are saving by using those. Also, the pharmacy is rediculously slow. They take their time, leave you sitting or standing ungreeted for 5 minutes or more (just bad customer service). I think Walgreens Pharmacy has questionable policies. If you do have to get a paper prescription and take it to the pharmacy the class 1 scheduled drugs require ID when you drop off the prescription?! WHY? anyone can drop off a paper prescription. They will not keep your ID on file so they can compare pictures. Be sure to bring your ID when you pick up as well... even if it's 10 minutes later with the same exact person that you dropped off with. Even if you are a regular customer. Oh and let's not forget the lines and the wait. Everything takes forever!! It will not be a quick visit.

I am not going to be using this Walgreens pharmacy location anymore. Since I live in DeForest I thought that it would be convenient. However it is not. They just reduced their hours that every day of the week they now close at 8:00 p.m. I get off work at 8:00 p.m. and I am unable to go there before work. According to Google the store hours change was made within the last week. All other Walgreens that are not 24 hour close at 10:00 p.m. on weekdays. I checked the hours of the stores located in Waunakee and Middleton and they ALL are open until 10:00 p.m.Also, the mere fact that they close their drive-thru window a couple of hours before the store closes and force people to come into the store mid pandemic is reprehensible and irresponsible.
