Disappointed …..We did enjoy our server but nothing else would make us want to go back. Two of us ate lunch and it was $50! We eat out every day of the week as we travel for work. This was one of the most expensive and disappointing we’ve ever had. Two pieces of pie waters to drink and two entrees for $50? Worse yet the portions were mediocre at best. The clientele seemly was older so I think the foods blandness might be because of that but man oh man we wasted our money…. If it was a cheap ole dinner maybe it would’ve been better but if you wanna spend money like your eating prime rib at a supper club and only get the portions and flavor you’d expect from the deli counter at piggly wiggly then it’s perfect for you…

The food was good! Our server Seth was attentive & very courteous. The issue we encountered was when we arrived your restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were a party of 5! It took at least 8 minutes for us to be seated and there was no one waiting to be seated. When we finally got seated we saw a relatively empty restaurant with 2 round tables that could accommodate us. Could not understand why it took so long for us to be seated, when there was no one waiting ahead of us!

The food was ok. I had the hot meatloaf. The potatoes, gravy & sourdough bread were good. I'm iffy on the meatloaf. It was definitely not what I was expecting. The pie though? Excellent!! I'd go back just for the pie. The waitress was great & it did have a nice atmosphere.

Truly disappointing. Hashbrowns were underdone, potato pancakes, a "specialty" were doughy and raw in the middle. Toast completely drowning in butter. Veggies in the omelet were scant, frankly pathetic and entirely bland. No side items like fresh fruit, no egg white substitute. Really failing breakfast 101 here. Best thing I can say is the norwegian pancakes were not great but just okay. Kitchen is really slow, wait time about 1/2 hour to be seated in place with half empty tables. Overall, the whole experience seems more in line with a retirement facility dining room than a brunch restaurant. I thought I would give this place a try again after not having been there in years due to a similar experience. I was hoping for better, but disappointed to find things worse. I think a place with a little more culinary competence would do well here, hopefully someday.

I will always stop here when I'm heading up North. My girlfriend and I specifically recommend the peanut butter chocolate pie or the Snickers pie as our favorite. The chocolate covered strawberry pie is good too if they have it. Also, it's good breakfast and lunch food too. I've never been at a Norske for dinner but their meals are solid if you order something with a Norwegian background. Never had bad service, or a bad pie here.

We both ordered the more traditional Norwegian dishes. He had potato pancakes. I had the Smelt wrap. All the wraps come in lefske. We had a slice of apple lingonberry pie for dessert. I really appreciated the sign on the door that they were short handed and there’d be a wait. Plus they had a bunch of tables marked off so the staff wasn’t overwhelmed. Made so much sense!

It's worth the drive to get some Norske Nook pies! Just went and picked up four pies for a weekend escape with close friends! (From L to R: Raspberry Sour Cream, Cherry, Dutch Apple and Lingonberry Apple.)

The other reviews were true, the kitchen was slow for a simple eggs and sausage order. But it tasted good. Renee, our server, was very friendly and quick. Will have to remember their pies for our next family event!

We were looking for a place to eat near Devils Lake after hiking. This place was close by and so great!! Amazing food and I had to take a picture of the pie we shared. We will definitely come back!

Food is amazing and you have to get pie while you're there. Best pie ever! Would like to see a few things added to the menu, but overall very good. I thought at one time they used to have lefsa but never saw that this time. I was disappointed about that. Didn't seem like there's many people anymore and it used to be packed everyday. What we ate was very good though and the pie was amazing!

This place is AMAZING! We were in town for a basketball tournament and found it simply by coincidence. The outside was well kept and appealing from the road. Inside has a Norwegian flare, extremely clean, and there are seriously 82 varieties of well made pies that meet you at the door. Everything is made on site. All the soups are delicious, the salads are huge, and wraps are second to none. Breakfast is served all day, and I would venture there anytime of the day to feast there! Definitely visit here if your in town. Topping off the experience, our service from the staff was exceptional!

This is my new favorite place. The food was great, the staff was friendly. A lefsa wrap! Not many places have that. And the variety of pies...and some do dads like mugs, books, and lefsa for sale.

They use traditional Norwegian lefse for all their wraps, which are all very good; and, a variety of delicious pies!
