We stayed at this hotel on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and Sandy and Shannon [Shae] went out of their way to make our stay especially special. They were both so kind, thoughtful, and cheerful. We were all just so blown away by their customer service, especially given that they were both working on the holiday and away from their own families - it was just so sweet of them to make sure that our family was so well taken care of!

This is a 5-star 2star hotel! We weren't expecting the Ritz. For a 2-star Holiday Inn where we could spend the night during a pass through, this was a wonderful experience. The room was comfortably sized, and the bed was comfy and clean. The washing basin was located RIGHT by the door, which was a little weird... I usually see a closet there. But that was the weirdest thing in the place. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. Water pressure was just perfect.Coffee maker was a Keurig, so easy enough to use - but the coffee at the breakfast was quite good and we didn't need to use the Keurig in our room. The refrigerator was a bit bigger than what I've seen in most hotel rooms, which was nice. There was a little USB port for charging devices next to the lamp - but just one, with 2 ports.Breakfast was good enough to hold us over until dinner!Overall, a great stay and a comfortable night!Rooms: great bed, big fridge

Rooms were great, service was good, I wish they had a room the next night so I could have extended my stay, but it was all good! They had a good breakfast, but out of personal preference, I wished it had biscuits and gravy, and maybe they do on other days(most holiday inns do), but they had french toast sticks and sausage and eggs, along with the other normal options. Bed was comfy, as were the pillows, it was clean... Great location, as it was close to many fast food places and cavenders across the road. Amazing value for a Friday night in that area.Walkability: Cavenders cheese next door, plus many food places within walking distance

Overall, the room was clean and fairly well kept maintenance wise. But it was dark, and dreary, and the wallpaper was starting to peel off some of the walls. The bathroom is mainly where I saw some issues. The shower head worked great, but the drain probably needed to be cleaned out, because just turning on the tub faucet the Water started filling up the tub even though the drain wasn't closed. Although admittedly, it was hard to tell when the train was open or closed because of the style of drain it was. There was also peeling wallpaper, rust on the fire sprinkler, some of the grout sealing the tub to the floor needed to be replaced, as well as the toilet seat was loose and would move if you shifted your weight. The people working the front desk were nice enough, but they could have done a much better job with their customer service. We asked for a later checkout, and the person that we talked to said that she would give a heads up to the housekeeping staff about it, but the next morning; we had two different housekeeping staff members knock on our door, two separate times. The first person came when we had an hour and a half before we needed to check out, and we told that person that we had a late check out for 1pm; and the second person came when we still had at least 40min or more before we needed to be out of the room! Knocking on the door 30-15 minutes before we needed to be out of the room is understandable and relatively the norm for most hotels; but this was actually kind of obnoxious since they should have known about this beforehand! The one really good experience about our stay happened when I went down to get breakfast for two people; and trying to figure out how to get everything upstairs. Without me asking at all, because I didn't think of it, the man who was working the breakfast area came and brought me a tray to use. It was just a simple little thing, but it was nice and helpful, and not a lot of people will do that. He even held the tray stedy against the counter for me so I could set my tower of plates and bowls on it.Rooms: Overall the room was clean and the AC cooled the room rather quickly; but the bathroom could use some work.

This appears to be a "party" hotel. Noisy! If you are looking for sleep after a long drive find a Holiday Inn Express and Suites. Their sound proofing seems to be better.I wish the employees would walk around and monitor the noise pollution. With all the rules they have you would think they would have one were minors must have an adult in the room. We shared a wall with 3 teen boys and there was an elephant above us.We were in room 125. The view from the window is the Burger King drive thru menu. The temp control did not work. Just inside the door you have the bathroom sink.I have been an IHG member for years and always had good luck with this chain until this location. The front desk person was rude and lack proper communication and CUSTOMER SERVICE.The property needs to be updated.Kind of funny how the property doesn't take any ownership and assuming I have never been to a hotel during a weekend during busy time, AND during an event. Such as our stay in Myrtle Beach during a golf tournament. Funny how during our 3 hours there the 3 teen boys where not accompanied by an adult. Example why the customer service is lacking. Their feedback is assuming way too much and not understanding the noise level. Suggesting - Instead of saying "Sorry to hear that" like it was our fault the noise level was bad, maybe not be so defensive and say "How can we make it better? Can I get more details so we can help others staying in the hotel?"I agree we decided to leave because the noise was so bad that it woke up my hearing impaired husband. I am not talking about just a little check in noise. Talking about bouncing a basketball on the wall kind of noise for three hours amd AFTER I spoke with the boys myself.I wrote this review for other rewards members. So they get their value from their hard earned points.I don't want my rewards points back because I decided to leave due to the noise. Needed the sleep after 15 plus hours on the road. However, to the property owner. I got those points from A LOT of paid stays. Remember that when you treat an IHG member like garbage.

We had a perfect stay. This was the most affordable option in the area. Nice and close to Cascade Mountain for skiing. Our beds had great options of firm and soft pillows, the room was exceptionally clean. Also, the breakfast was awesome! Great mix of hot and cold options, and the lady who was tending the service was extremely attentive. Didn't catch her name but big kudos to her. One small thing on our room, please just make sure to check shampoo/conditioner holders, our conditioner was empty. Would definitely return to this location

I always stayed in Holiday Inn hotels with my family as a kid. I am giving a 5 star rating simply because of the breakfast service. They had an awesome variety of choices for breakfast, hot and cold, and their breakfast attendant was amazing. Not only did she keep everything refilled, but she also went around to each individual table to make sure everyone had what they needed. She brought so much joy to the room and I've never seen that type of service at any hotel before!

Breakfast was great. The breakfast lady was friendly. Rooms were comfortable. Accessible room had high beds so difficult for a 99 year old to get in. Small blood spot on a sheet. Looks like they weren't changed. Heater AC thermostat was a challenge. Hot or cold, no in between.Noteworthy details: Over the top breakfast. L

Do not stay at this location if you are of color. We stopped here to use the bathroom, now keep in mind we live in MN traveled through Kentucky and Tennessee we only use the bathroom at hotels and not 1 time did we get the treatment she gave us. We walked in the door and immediately the blond old lady at the desk stopped looked at us in a nasty way, we asked her where the bathroom was and she asked us….are you staying here? We stated no, she immediately said you can’t use the bathroom she never asked if we knew anyone staying there. She saw people of color. I have been a hotel manager and never once have I looked at a person coming through my doors and treated them the way she did.

Honestly, great from check in to check out. Staff was friendly, room was clean, bed and pillows comfy, and breakfast was delicious!! The only flaw was our TV, kept freezing on us. Was super weird and if we were staying there more then 1 night it would have been a problem. Overall, if we are ever back in the area, we would most likely stay here again.

I was initially given a room that the AC was limited to 68° I asked for a different room and the woman working this even was amazing she found me a comfortable room with no remote thermostat. She was very patient and she was great to work with thank you very much for the help!

We were kept up all night long by the next door neighbors. After the sheriff came at 4:30 AM, they continued talking loudly and laughing, and banging the door. The walls were thin. Apparently they don't need sleep. But we did. We have a long drive ahead of us and we're exhausted. We called the front desk three times asking for assistance, and he said he'd ask them to be quiet, but nothing ever happened. The 3rd time we called, no one answered the phone.Never. Holiday Inn. Again. Never. Our room smelled like old cigarette smoke. The lobby and common area is stale. We can ignore that, but not the rest. There was a loud party in the parking lot, by where we had to park, when we arrived, so we were very concerned leaving our truck and bike unattended. Thankfully, nothing happened. The desk employee was very patient, kind, and was swamped with work, as it was a full house. However, he was unable to do anything, so we wonder if management allows him to or not.Pay extra and drive to the Dells to stay somewhere else!

I've stayed in hundreds of HIE and often end up judging them by the quality of the breakfast. They are usually very good to excellent in every area, but the breakfast is important enough to lose a star. In this case it was cold eggs and stale-ish cinnamon rolls. Sidenote: I realize that there are many HIE that are poorly maintained, old, etc., but I weed those out beforehand by checking the ratings and reading the reviews.

We spent the night after a day at Devil's Lake. The room was clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the pool. We were disappointed that the hot tub was out of order. The continental breakfast was good. They had a staff member serving it who wore a face covering which was a nice touch.
