I seldom have the extra time but I was blessed with the opportunity to stop in and meet these folks. Owner is a Veteran and knows military surplus. His prices are very reasonable and he has a lot of inventory. I recommend paying a visit if you are in the area and they do ship for a reasonable price. Great stop for me.

This is a ok place to look for some military clothing, and a few mess kits , but not overly large .

Proud to see they are taking extra precautions in this unclear time. This is a one of kind shop for our area and nearly always has what I'm looking for at prices lower than anywhere else.

Prices have gone way up in recent months - it’s now possible to get many of the same items new for the same price. Also, the owner used to be very friendly & helpful when I would come in with my partner. We would look forward to having a little chat with him when we’d come in. However, the tone and vibe in the shop has totally changed recently - he now only scowls or ignores us. Can’t help but wonder if we are being profiled / discriminated in some way for being different. The change in behavior has correlated with an increase of far-right messaging around the shop. Used to feel like a comfy, friendly spot for all - maybe no longer the case for queer & other marginalized community members.

Great place to shop. If your looking for those one of a kind items this is a place to be. The staff at J&R are fabulous they are always willing to lend a hand and or answer question. I purchased a military style winter coat from them and it's the best purchase ever. I get cold so easily and this coat was rated -30 degrees. It was perfect for the cold nights in Wisconsin. I've also purchase other items from them and they always stand by there product for quality. I always shop here when I get in the area for you never know what new items they may have.

Great selection, great for replacing gear for ETS/PCS turn-in to avoid statement of charges. Can get stock not on hand fairly quickly. Former service members run it and price it fair based on condition. Best surplus in the Tri-state area.

Outstanding establishment, super friendly people. We have been customers for over 20 years and still going back every time and always find something new to get. The person that gave them negative review with one or two stars is full of BS

Not worth the trip. We had to go to an ATM for cash. Guy did not want to take our credit card for an $18 purchase and moaned about fees. I was polite and got cash. Very unprofessional to complain about credit card fees. It is part of doing business and he greatly exaggerated the fees. Unless his business is different from every other

This place is great!!! I drove a hour and 45 mins to get some really sweet military gear. Totally worth the drive. You will NOT find a better selection in the tri-state area that I'm aware of! The only problem is I wish it was closer so I could go more often!! FANTASTIC people working there, very friendly and knowledgeable. If you don't see what your looking for don't be afraid to ask, they probably have it!!! 10 STARS

Great selection, best in the Wisconsin area. Prices are right. The folks that run the place are awful nice and quite knowledgable. They were able to custom fit an authentic marine uniform for me. Fits perfect.

Stopped in on a motorcycle ride to the river very friendly had good conversations. Ended up we bought nice magnetic flashlights.

The owner is a vet and is a pretty nice guy. The store has uniforms, gear, and accessories from all branches of the military. No guns but firearm accessories are available. I liked it.

Me and my father have been going here for years, Great prices great warm weather gear I’ve worked outside all winter with bunny boots and the polypropylene thermal underwear from here, everyone I know that has tried them vs under armor says that the long johns from here are hands down better lots of other good stuff from here also
