I shop at Menards a few times a week for personal and business items. On September 29, 2023, I ordered a garage door from Menards. It took almost 2 months to get it, so we were in the end of November when we got to install it. Took everything out of the boxes to find that the middle panel had a large dent and several small dents, along with some black marks that would not come off. We had to install the door, (which cost us $650) because by the time we opened the boxes our other door was already off. Contacted Menards and they had us fill out forms to describe the issue and send pictures. Their solution to the problem was to send us another panel (which we are going to have to pay another guy to install, and it's already been a month and we have not received it) they gave us paint to touch up the black marks, and $100 gift card. We paid $3186.09 for the door, so it wasn't cheap. I am not happy at all! Also, the rollers make more noise than my old door when rolling. We put some silicone on them and it didn't help. I honestly wish I would have kept my old door and just painted it! Guess I learned my lesson. :(

Great staff. I bought a new toilet at Menards in Appleton, because we were near by this store when we got home and wanted to install it was broken. I called this store to see if I could return it here for a new one, they were very kind to do that. When we got to the store they help us get the broken out and in store. They even had the one we need ready for us. The part I was uncomfortable was when one of the plumber guy said to us “Why you didn’t return it where you bought it”. I was very clear to him we were close to that store that is why we bought it right away plus I called this store to see if I could exchange for a new one. He was looking very confused and kind off mad. I felt If it wasn’t for costumer service guy that was so kind I wouldn’t had a new toilet to put in my house. Be aware some staff will not like or be bothered for what you had to exchange.

My recent experience at Menards left me infuriated beyond belief. I went in with a simple shopping list, hoping to grab a few items for a home improvement project. Little did I know, it would turn into an absolute nightmare.First, I couldn't find a single employee willing to help me locate the items I needed. It's like they were playing hide-and-seek, and I was the only one seeking. After wasting way too much time searching, I finally stumbled upon what I needed, only to discover that they were out of stock on several crucial items.But the icing on the cake was the checkout process. The lines were backed up, and there were only two cashiers working on a busy weekend. I waited in line for what felt like an eternity, fuming as I watched employees casually stroll by without a care in the world.Menards, your lackluster service, unhelpful staff, and poor inventory management have earned you a special place in my hall of frustration. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, where they actually value their customers and provide a shopping experience that doesn't leave you seething with anger.

Being from Florida, this was only the second time in a Menards and I was impressed with the variety and prices that they offer. Much better than a home Depot or Lowe's. You guys should build down south.

Be careful if using their delivery service. We ordered 2 appliances to be used in our barn (refrigerators). When paid for we told them they were to go into a barn. The driver unloaded them in our driveway and said we didn't pay for them to be delivered inside. We also paid to have the old ones taken away, which we had to haul outside to the driveway as he stood there with a dolly that he wouldn't use. We also loaded them onto his truck. The first person I called to tell about this was very understanding and said this driver has been complained about before and would be talked to. The manager then called and said it was not a barn, but an office so the driver couldn't put them inside due to liability reasons. It was a barn, the driver never stepped a foot inside to see what it was. This is the last time I will purchase any applicance from Menards. Use their delivery service at your own risk. Terrible customer service after spending the amount of money we just did!

Great store, nice staff and a wide selection. I was very surprised to learn they don't accept pay-by-phone. I've come to expect it from even mom and pop shops and figured I'd be good to go at a big store like Menard's.@Menards: Please consider adding this convenience feature! It was unfortunate to have to leave goods unsold due to your store not accepting a modern payment method which is more secure than using a credit card.Thanks!

Ordered a generator online tonight, within minutes of placing the order Caleb called to ask if I knew this was the display. We didn’t know that and didn’t want a display. Caleb looked into availability on a new one and delivery dates, very thorough. Felt completely satisfied with our purchase and follow up. About a hour later Caleb called back with updated information and told me he expedited the order and gave me a ship date. Couldn’t be more pleased with this devotion to exceptional customer service. Sure hope the store manager reads this and rewards such a amazing employee, ESPECIALLY these days!

We purchased a $4,000 Mastercraft door from the De Pere, WI store in July 2022. We left the door in its original packaging until the door could be installed but after install, we noticed some flaws to the interior of the door. We contacted Menards and was given information to contact (and work with) Mastercraft on this issue. After reviewing our photos, Mastercraft communicated to us that they would give us a new door. Although we appreciated the effort made to correct this issue, our hope was that the flaws in the original door could be fixed/repaired rather than a replacement (which would require additional time and expense on our end). We stated to Mastercraft via email that we would accept the replacement door as long as we did not need to return the original door – we had already gone over budget on the cost of the door and at that time could not afford the expense to have the new door installed. Mastercraft seemed to have no issue with us disposing of the original door at our leisure. Once the new door arrived, I was informed by the Menards De Pere store manager that in order to pick up the new door I would have to put down a deposit which would then be refunded once the old door was returned. I explained to him that this was not the agreement we had with Mastercraft. I have now had several conversations with this manager to see if he could talk to the sales representative at Mastercraft to come up with a resolution – possibly some money back on the original door due to the flaws. Menards and this manager made ZERO effort to help come up with any other solution. I then sent at least 5 emails to Menards guest services, providing details and requesting a phone call from the store manager’s superior. Not only did a never get a phone call from anyone other than the store manager, in 2 separate emails it was stated that they would like to help resolve this issue but once again, no effort/response has been made. This has been going on for the last 5 months and this experience by far, has been the worst customer service we have ever received! I have worked as a purchaser for a company for the last 25 years and have always been willing to work with our vendors to come up with a reasonable solution when a valued customer receives a damaged item.We recently received a letter stating that if we do not pick up the door it will be disposed of. As a company you would rather dispose of a $4,000 door then to try to come up with a reasonable solution for a customer? How does that make any sense?We have always shopped at Menards throughout the years but we will NEVER make another major purchase from your store. We deeply regret not doing our research and reading the many negative reviews from other Menards customers. If we would have done this, we would have purchased our front door elsewhere.

This place can be a real hit or miss when it comes to customer service. I've been there many times, where it's painful to see some associates struggle to deliver average customer service. But there has also been times where I was very impressed with others high level of customer service. One example of the high end customer service was last month when I went there to purchase material to build a deck. There were some people that would say hi and ask if they could help, but it wasn't very authentic and didn't seem like they really cared about helping. But then an associate by the name of Mary approached me to see if she could help me out. She made sure I understood the difference between each option of deck boards along with the posts and railings. When she didn't know the answer, rather than making up something, she reached out to her manager Jim. Jim was equally as accommodating to helping me as Mary was. They both showed they truly cared about assisting me and that meant a lot. I really appreciate the customer service they provided me that day. And I want you and everyone that reads this, to know what a difference these two associates make. Thank you again!

The staff for mask which I really appreciate being an older person even though I've been vaccinated. I care about them and it shows they care about me. It's a wonderful place and just walk around and daydream what you would like in your home, apartment or even a manufactured home. You can find all kind of clearance or deals that are great.

I called the DePere store to ask for help locating my rebate, the assistant manager was very helpful and polite. She asked me to come to the store at which time she would try to figure out how to resolve the issue. When I got to the store she had several ideas of how to assist and just needed to ask her manager Jason. Jason is the least professional person I've met in years. Not only did he dismiss any idea the assistant manger had, he simply had no idea how to assist me. He acted like someone who was just wailing to come out of the back room to use his position to not help. I then cut him off from explaining all the ways he can't help me to ask for corporates number so I could see if they could help. He gave me the wrong department but that was expected. I doubt Menards wants their company represented in a one star manner by someone who is clearly incapable of any managerial function and has the customer service abilities to match. I'm going to Home Depot or Menards Howard from now on. Huge disappointment Jason.

Worst customer service EVER. The girl was very rude, she had no one in her line and was standing at the end waiting. I had one item. She rolled her eyes when I came in her line. The only thing she said to me was the total. No hello no goodbye nothing. I drove over an hour for the worst service. The cashiers name was Alyison. I hope her supervisors see this and do something.

Went to get some shopping and I drive a semi and I called the store and spoke with a front end female employee who was very polite and said that I would be fine parking where I was till I was done shopping at Menards and Walmart when I was done and back in my truck when a guy employee came out to me and was kind of rude to me and said that I needed to move now and then went to another truck and on his way back through to a 3rd truck he asked me if the Walmart cart was mine that was on the grass very rudely.

Ordered online & paid online. Went to pick up the products & they were out of stock. Had to drive another 15-20 min to a different store to get the product (that was already bought & paid for). It was ordered ahead of time because it was needed the following day for our project. Had already driven 1 hour to get to the original store. Was NOT happy.

Everything in the Green Bay Area very slow not a lot of activity anywhere maybe people are used to celebrating in other ways staying home going to friends and family locally I did see a lot of traffic North Merrill earlier today otherwise the highways stores pretty empty as far as customers. Menards parking lot pretty empty as well I was rather surprised for a big weekend to see so little traffic and shoppers Maybe This Is The New Normal. Menards is one of my favorite stores.

Excellent Service by three separate younger male associates when I had questions, in three different departments!!! I purchased a LED ceiling fan, a tall Floor Lamp, special type of Chalk paint to do a couple projects in May, special LED motion Lights for indoor or outdoor. Definitely would recommend! I thanked them, and told them I was very happy to have Great Service!

Overall good store. The person at the front desk tried hard but could not help me. She gave me a general direction of where to go where I quickly found another employee who knew exactly where to go. I was in and out fast and the price was great.

Terrible store. Carry out person Skyler was awful when I ask for help out near the cart corral. Was on his phone and couldn’t be bothered. Another guest came and helped me. Called to complain and the GM Chris there is a joke. Went about how they were busy and he had to go assist guests. Guess I was a guest. Used to shop there all the time but will now find a different Menards to go to.

Products seem to be of low grade Wal-Mart type. Not worth value overall. The 11% is a gimmick, sounds good, but it's not. Compared to other stores they are the same if not slightly above with their 11% rebate.

Poor response while waiting in line at Guest Services center —with 5 people in line for returns and one person behind desk, the manager walks over approve a return 2 different times... approves both returns snd walks away both times , leaving the long line wait!!You’d think he’d at least open up another register or call for someone to help reduce the line! Disappointing
