Great spot to stop at for good and affordable food and a neat little gift shop located right across the street from the St Croix Casino. I had the French dip and fries special while I was there and it was good and more than reasonable in price. I also had a root beer float. The ice cream was great and the 1919 root beer is always the best. They have a great selection of different ice creams. The interior is decorated wonderfully with taxidermy fish and wildlife.

Really cool place in the middle of nowhere. Didn't eat at the restaurant, but it did look and smell good. Now, for the good part, this place had the coolest up north knickknack feeling that rivals Nisswa mn. Best of all, they have a decent sports department in this store. If I lived in this area, I would hear a lot. The wife bought a cabin decor valance for the kitchen window.

Largest Minnesota state park and it did not disappoint! Beautiful well maintained and marked trails and maps. We hiked several days and never met a soul. The trails along the Kettle and St. Croix rivers re very nice but the tranquility through the woods is just as spectacular. Saw a bear in the tree, lots of deer, birds and wildflowers. Loved it! We will be back!

Cute little shop to stop into. Lots of touristy items to buy. We of course, had to take pictures with big foot 😁. They had fried chicken with potatoes off to the side of the gift shop, which we did not try. As well as ice cream, which looked very tempting.

Worst store I've ever been to, first gas station coming into Wisconsin and I'm treated with disrespect... Has a gas station right on the St Croix. Tribal Reservation and they won't accept my tribal identification card. FYI recognized tribe. The cashier's are always so racist and disrespectful to any native American customers. I am also speaking on the behalf of the whole native American community in the area.

I had an omelet and bacon here. The portions were good, the food hot and good, price was ok too. The atmosphere was...a little odd. Animal torsos hanging from the walls (some cool things like caribou, a full mounted wolf, and a couple black bears) and a counter that looked as though there was another restaurant inside. However, I do recommend the breakfast here. You'll leave full!

Not the best dining experience, but for gas, convenience store, sporting goods and hunting apparel, this place is great. Lot's of great grab and go food items. I especially cannot resist picking up cheese curds and beef sticks whenever I stop in here.Kid-friendliness: Check out the stuffed bear and taxidermy fish.

We only went into the cafe. The waitress was amazing (sorry, I didn't get her name).The food was ok, not great like I was expecting. I had the biscuits and gravy and both were "food service grade," meaning the same thing you'd get at any cafe. The prices were good and service was fast, though. I bet their other food is probably better.

Stopped in while out on a motorcycle ride about 1:30 in the afternoon. They have a pretty good selection of food, chicken, burgers, and a big selection of ice cream. I had a bacon cheeseburger basket that was great! Took about 15 minutes to get it but they were pretty busy so that was reasonable. I'll definitely stop there again!

I've only had the Chester's chicken, not horrible, but not really that special. Ice cream is always good. Service is generally friendly and good.Kid-friendliness: Nice open dining area. Should be a good place for kids.

The fudge they carry is delicious. Praline is one of the best I have ever tasted. The store had reasonably priced hats and hoodies. They were swamped at the pumps and took a while to get gas and the person who rang us up was not what you would call personable, friendly, but not rude either. Enough unique snacks that when we are up this way a couple times a year, we will stop

I've visited both the restaurant and the store a few times. Seems I live just across the border in Minnesota. The people in the restaurant were by far more accommodating and friendlier than the people in the store. Which isn’t saying much for either place cuz every time I’ve been to both the people that work at both places we rude. But the last time I visited the store was due to my friends truck over heating. So we pulled in there and decided to get gas while we were there anyway, so it wasn’t like we weren’t paying customers. And after putting gas in we went in to get some water and pay for the gas. We had a jug with us and asked for a bathroom to fill it cuz our truck over heated and they told us we would have to buy bottled water. They wouldn’t let us fill our jug with the bathroom water. They continued with rude remarks like “we’re not a service station or a garage. I will run out of gas and walk home before stopping at their store again.

Great chicken ALWAYS!! Check hours for open times. Up to 7 or 8 pm. Masks optional. Always great Cedar Crest ice cream for dessert or "just because". TIP GENEROUSLY no waitress service...all counter ordering. All tables available were nice and clean. Hubby had club sub and it looked great...he said it was fantastic on whole wheat.
