I can appreciate wanting to support local businesses - but I simply cannot afford to shop at this store. I can go to Walmart and get a trunk full of groceries for $150, but at nilssen’s I’m lucky if I get 3 bags for that amount. In a small town where people aren’t loaded, we have to go where our budget allows. If I’m shopping at nilssens with my $150 per week grocery budget, my family is going to be mighty hungry. I will say the staff is friendly and the store is clean. Watch the sales and hopefully find something you need on there.

Nice grocery store has some good deals. It's a little bit dated. Nice bread selection, lots of fresh fruit and vegetables.

My daughter is vegan and lives in the area. She normally shops online but I wanted to "treat" her and go to the grocery store. They seem like a nice grocery store for a "normal" consumer which is why I gave them 4 stars but they had very few options for her dietary needs.

Nice small town grocery store. I like their deli, they have a variety of hot foods and very good bakery items. There is also an attached liquor store, great for one stop shopping.

The store was clean and stocked well. The workers were all super friendly and helpful. They actually have a good variety of foods for a smaller town. Most prices were reasonable but a few things were pretty high....especially the deli. But it was all good tasting!! Next visit we will be stopping there again 😀

Prices are high for a small town grocery store. But I suppose they jack them up because of tourist and the weekenders from MN. They will have good sales on items from time to time. Never seen a brew pub Lotzza motzza pizza $11.99 in any store before. But they try and gave a okay deli.

The most overpriced grocery store on earth. Their deli never has anything different or innovative. They charge what they do because we're out here in the middle of nowhere and the next closest grocery store is 25 miles away. And they have the most uninspired produce section I've ever seen. To them, apples are considered exotic.

Don't usually leave reviews on a place but today I was just greeted to a very unsafe place to shop. Masks are used more as a feel good vanity strap under the chin as they prepare the meat in the deli. Those that do wear masks outside of the deli wear them under their nose making them no more than a piece of fabric for show. The safest place in this store would be the sliding doors that greet you as you go in. Places like this remind me that I'm not surprised Wisconsin is the worst state for the spread of covid-19 during this pandemic. Needless to say I don't plan shopping here anytime soon. I'm just glad I don't live in the area during these times.

Great little grocer love the General Taos chicken from the deli looked like lots of other fresh cooked stuff and the store had a great selection like the small town stores like this and would recommend it for all your grocerie shopping needs!

This grocery store is fantastic super friendly, and seemed to have smart managers cuz they're about the only store I've found in the whole area that still has toilet paper things to them using some pre-planning and limiting the amounts each customer can get so that everyone can have some props to you Nilssens

Has all the items we need. Is a tad bit more expensive than your big box stores but for me it's worth it. Support small town business!

Bakery provided large quantity of hotdog buns for "A Celebration of Life" for my family August 15 th. The buns were delicious. Appreciated their friendly service. THANK YOU🌹🐦

It's a nice small town grocery store that has everything you need. Just heard they're getting new meat coolers in a few weeks so their selection of different products will likely go up soon.

I shop here often for fruits and veggies. They are carrying more Organic foods which I like. They employ a lot of high school kids who do a great job and are genuinely nice.

Cumberland is lucky to have this grocery store. Always has great prices, deli is great and staff is even better.

Wish they would extend their hours back to closing at 10 instead of 9. Self checkout should help that… right??!
