Always great products and service from Louie’s. I stop in whenever I’m visiting family in Wisconsin. This last time I asked for a Picanha steak. The butcher knew exactly what I was talking about and cut one for me on the spot…perfectly dressed with just the right fat cap. Of course I got cheese and other meat snacks too, but the steak (which I grilled that night) was the crown jewel of my recent trip to Louie’s.

They literally have everything. Amazing variety of brats that are homemade and delicious. Tons of seasonings and rubs. And the liquor store has an amazing amount of inventory for its size and great variety of new drinks that are on the market. But the meat department and their options are fantastic, definitely worth driving out of your way for if you’re anywhere near the area

The greatest meat market in the world. Hands down amazing sausages, fresh cuts of meat and world renown atmosphere. Artisan breads and the best Wisconsin cheeses. If that doesn't turn your head, they have a liquor store attached. Local and imported beers, wine for every snob and enough booze to make a Bear's fan tolerable. A must visit or destination for carnivorous folk...or vegan, the wine selection is excellent too. Minnesota visitors are welcome as sausages are regional and liquor is less expensive in Wisconsin... The Muench family is legendary for quality, service, taste and all around kindness. Stop by, see for yourself!

A meat lovers dream! Huge selection of any mainstream kind of meat you'd like. They also process game here, and have very good summer stock sausage. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly. Lines can get long, so be sure to "take a number" from the butcher counter.

Stopped here on our way home from Duluth. Always busy and they take care of everyone very well. Very nice and helpful people. An inane amount if meat to choose from. Once we got fresh cut ribeye and it literally melted in our mouths when we ate it. I would highly recommend you stop in. Very good meat as well as cheese and other items. We'll definitely be back.

absolutely one of the finest one off butcher shops left in North America. If you're within 300 miles of this place and you're road tripping you should find a way to come through this town specifically to stop here. Cumberland is well known for food but it's butcher shop is well-known in more than four states. We live in Minnesota but anytime we're headed Northwest through Wisconsin we find a way to pass by here, to fill our freezer with some of the best made Wisconsin bratwurst that exist which by the way in case you're wondering would be some of the best bratwurst that exist outside of Germany. On a busy day you need to take a number, on a quiet day or before school or work is out you can usually just get in and get out easy. Try not to make a meal of the samples on the butcher counter. Yeah they have free samples of some of the most amazing, butcher shop made beef snack sticks, summer sausages, and cheese.During the summer, starting at around 10 a.m. running till around 5 or 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, they have a food truck serving lunch deals with some of the best bratwurst now cooked, ready to eat. On the north end but we have never been there is a full-service Bar and Grill. I mean think about it when was the last time you were capable of buying butcher made custom, fresh bratwurst at 2.99 a pound... I mean really.

My boyfriend brought the buck he harvested bow hunting to Louie’s. He asked for steaks, roast and the rest back in trim. We went to process the trim for burger and found a piece of meet that had a bloodshot bullet hole in it. That bullet hole also had lead shot in it. This deer had no sign of a bullet wound when quartered prior to bringing to Louie’s for processing. We were very disappointed that Louie’s did not take the time to make sure we got back our own deer and very disappointed that they gave us meat unfit to process. We will not be using Louie’s again due to this horrible quality.

With the exception of a few items, we were able to find all the sausages and meats that we intended to buy. My grandma has been coming here since she first immigrated from Germany over 60 years ago. She was very excited to visit for the first time in several years. This place was very busy for a Tuesday morning. Don't expect appropriate social distancing here. We appreciated that the deli staff was very kind and helpful, however our cashier was not very friendly, and unfortunately that lack of courtesy is what we tend to remember as the last experience before exiting the business. As in, my grandma was saying goodbye and "See you next time" and the cashier didn't even look at her or acknowledge her after she paid. Perhaps she was just too busy to smile and say goodbye. There were a few things that took away from what would have been a 5-star experience: We were disappointed to see that only a few staff members wore masks to protect customers, no one was sanitizing carts, and there were far more people in the store than the supposed "limited capacity" they had been posted in the notice at the entrance. We'll be back, but early in the morning and will keep it quick.

Love this place even thought we only get there a couple times a year... ALWAYS adjust or try so we can stop in for the Hunters Sausage snack sticks. A lot of other wonderful choices, but it's a childhood favorite !!!

Purchased garlic-onion brats, cooked and ate them. Then I found that my breath could kill-off the hardiest of houseplants and make the dog puke, but my tastebuds were in ecstacy and my heart soared-- I went back for several more packages.Louie's is the reason we must support small businesses, especially in these times.

Customer service was friendly asking for help if we needed any, check out was speedy!I enjoy traveling to different shops like Louies and was very happy to finally visit! We live in Oregon and we have over 100 pounds of summer sausage and cheese shipped to us a year. Louie's is hands down the BEST meat market in the USA! They have so many awards to back that statement. It is a hidden gem! Louie is our 5 year old's biggest fan! Patty always takes care of our order and she is prompt, efficient, courteous, and a pleasure to talk to. Top quality for a great value.

It was only after serving Louie's finer brats to a friend that I realized the meats, cheeses, and other treats they sell and I grew up with are amazing. I have taken them for granted all these years. My friend loved the brats, and I have a new appreciation for my hometown market.I've been going to Louie's for years, and every time I return I discover a brat or sausage or cheese that I haven't tried before. Pair them with fun drinks from their liquor store, and you have a treat. I'm nervous my wife is gonna complain about all the frozen Louie's meats in our freezer. I know there are similar meat/cheese/liquor places where I now live, but there is only one that I continue to visit and praise. Long live Louie's!

My father was born and raised in Cumberland. My grandparents had a farm there where I spent much of my childhood. Louie’s Italian sausage has been a staple in our family for 50 years. I live in Kansas City and still get my Italian sausage from Louie’s every time I go back home to Chippewa Falls. The brats are the best you can get anywhere and their breakfast sausage is also amazing . Nothing compares and never will. The best of the best! Wish they would ship meats when I can’t get up there. Please ship! Thank you!!!

Great place for meats and brats. They have the food truck out back some days, when it's open, there's the delightful grill and smell from the meats cooking awaiting your order. The beer and cheese brats are a tantalizing treat to the palate and a great snack before you go load up for the weekend home grilling adventure.Highly recommend!

They have the most amazing selection and varieties of brats sausages and hot dogs I've ever seen! I just tried the "birkie"meat sticks with blueberries cranberries cheddar cheese Swiss cheese and Maple syrup! I live an hour away and this whole big pack isn't even going to make it! This place is highly recommended and the brats are to die for

Great selection and the smokey smell is amazing. Had a great visit with a couple of gents. Definitely will be back. Oh and by the way, prices are decent compared to other meat shops!
