Barks on Bourbon is such an amazing facility. The owner and staff greatly care for your dogs, and they have the best prices in the area. They are also involved in the community supporting various fundraisers such as Kibbles 4 A Cause. I would highly recommend their services! 🐶

I was nervous bringing my 2 year old golden retriever to get groomed for the first time. Alyssa did such a good job and trimmed him in all the right places. She was quick and efficient. He was so clean and fresh! It wasn’t too hard to get an appointment. And I’ll definitely be back.

Took our Leo there while we were on vacation, I was nervous as this was the first time we were leaving him but they did great. I would call to check in and they did not mind at all, sent me a bunch of pictures. The free/included bath or nail trim with a week stay is also fantastic. Definitely will be returning.

My dog absolutely loves it here, and I do too. We just switched to daycare 3 days a week instead of 2 times for winter, but I have a feeling we won't want to go back to 2. He loves to play with other dogs more anything else (except maybe mud puddles) and barks on bourbon has handled his endless playful energy very well. He is, somehow, more excited each morning we drop him off than the last. He has boarded there a couple times before too, up to a week. Even then he had a good time. We groom him there too, really a full service facility. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I've never had a dog love a daycare or boarding facility so much, and yet their rates are still affordable.

We love Barks on Bourbon! We have yet to try out their boarding and doggie daycare but have heard great things about those services. They have been our dog's groomer for a couple of years and they do a great job! Our dog loves going even. :)

Our dog was bitten by another dog in the yard, apparently it was known that this other dog could not be around other dogs. Our dog has a deep wound approximately 1.5 cm long and 1 cm deep in the middle of his lower back that is still oozing and bloody after 24 hours. The story we were told is that our dog was let out while this other dog was out in the yard. We were not even told about the incident until an entire day later when my husband arrived to pick him up. We were still charged for the 2 nights of boarding, and were so kindly reminded that they could not be held liable for any veterinary bills because we signed some sort of waiver several years ago. The whole premise of their business has been compromised. They’re supposed to be able to safely watch and temporarily care for someone else’s pet. Obviously things can happen but their non-attempt to fix it at all is upsetting. Plus, we now have to take him to the vet on a Monday when neither of us has time in our busy schedules. We have been boarding our dog there periodically for 5 years now, but after this negligence, we will not be back. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Nice dog boarding and kenneling service not far from Middleton, WI. Each fog has a large private run and private space. Boarding dogs can participate in social daycare activities. You can also pay for extra daily walks. Overall, the dogs seem quite happy staying there.

I boarded my 4 dogs for the first time while traveling. The dogs enjoyed daycare and cuddles and grooming. The girls sent me pictures while I was gone and were very friendly. Will definitely bring them back again.

My dogs always stay at Barks when I travel. This time my travel plans changed due to weather and they were super helpful and accommodating! The girls who work the desk are super sweet to the pups and send pics when I get lonely while I’m away.

This is a great place to board your dogs and take them for daycare! When we drop our dogs off we always feel like they're in great hands and will be looked after as if it's their own dogs. (Grace should be employee of the year!) I highly recommend everyone give this place a try!

We switched to Barks on Bourbon once our pup was old enough to attend.Pros:- Close to home- Smaller playgroup- Dogs can choose inside/outside play- Smells great, even in the playroom. I was surprised when we did our tour/evaluation.- Grooming services- Friendly staff- Affordable- Easy booking by phone- The space is soon to be used for classes by Dogs Best Friend!Downside? No webcams/online daycare booking & there isn’t always a staffer in with the play group. Would love updates on occasion at pickup about how dogs day was.

Can't say enough about how much my 1yo pup Ruben LOVES it here! He attends doggy day care multiple days a week and gets his much needed canine socialization and exercise. The staff is friendly and flexible, all-around pleasant experiences every time I call or am there in person. They have lots of options including onsite grooming and boarding as well. We boarded our dog Cooper here over the weekend. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and took great care of him! Prices for their services are also very reasonable. We definitely plan to use their services in the future - not only the boarding, but the grooming as well. We are very happy with the care given to our dog. I highly recommend Barks on Bourbon to anyone looking to pamper their pup or looking for someone to take care of their dog while they’re away!

I have always felt like this place was the *easiest* for dog grooming. Appointments are fast and easy to make. Drop off is fast and easy. And pick up is direct and the exchange quick and easy. Thank you for taking care of our dog's bod!
