Hit or miss at the Cottage Grove Pig. Sometimes good produce, an after holiday deal on lamb or duck, nice looking bread. Other times it’s thin pickings around the edge of the store and you realize they probably are mostly in business for sugar cereals, chips, soda, and frozen pizzas.

Cashier asked if I want juice in bag. I said yes so sue sighed and rolled her eyes at the other 12 year old doing the bagging. They then proceeded to ask me about each juice individually if u wanted it bagged to be passive aggressive. So I won't come here again. I do all my shopping here, most ppl buy 3 items because store is overpriced. I come here because I hate self scan and I hate lines, and I pay a 50 percent premium over every other grocery store for it, but I can go other places and receive identical.bad service and save 100 bucks when I go so I will never go again.

It's a decent Piggly wiggly. It's clean and stocked, but it always feels super empty and the staff do not seem happy to work there (I don't blame them bc retail is not a fun time)

Buyers Beware. I have tried to express my concerns here and with the Health and Safety. All I have left to say is it would be zero stars if I had the option. A once Awesome store was bought and now being ran like no one cares and the people there all look like they would be anywhere else and hate the job. Spend your money where you feel you need to. JustBuyer Beware.

Always very quiet in the evening. We'll stocked.Employees are top notch! Best customer service anybody could expect. They're right there when you need them!The prices are sometimes a bit higher than other stores, but it's well worth it. The store is always clean. Employees always friendly.

Handicapped mobility carts are JUNK, of the 2 they have 1 was out of order and the other failed while shopping. Piggly Wiggly management do better for your disabled customers!

We hadn't been to this store in a very long time, but needed some salads for dinner and it was close by, so we ran in. This is a very nice store and the Deli was great. Every employee was nice and friendly, management should be proud of them. We will stop in again. Oh, and the salads(potato salad and Cole slaw) were great!

I had never been into a pig before, heard of them, giggled at the name, but I never actually was around a storefront so I never went in to one. After my friends moved to cottage Grove a few years ago, we went in. It's a little small, which is a positive thing to me, and it's a little old, but that just means that while some things are not as shiny, they're standing the test of time. The thing that really shocks me about Piggly wiggly is that they will randomly have some really great items that you just can't seem to find other places. I don't know why, but it's definitely encouraged me to explore more because sometimes you just find these gems. Also definitely get the pig card because that's how you get the deals, And if you're like ugh another card, they can look you up by phone number. You're so good fuel rewards that I know at least the cenex in town accepts. Additionally, all the workers I've encountered have been very friendly and if I need help with anything they're always happy to help.

Never been to this supermarket before. It was very well lit and clean. Lots of options for meats and veggies and fruits Deli was a bit limited but that might have to do with covid. Prices were good. Definitely would come back if I'm in the area.

Before you shop, get the card. Will save you a lot. They have good sales and deals when you use the card. The store is very clean and organized. I would reccomend

Good for quick trips, but overall they're overpriced on most things. They're local and don't have the buying power of a Kroger or an Albertsons which I understand equates to a higher cost on goods, great staff, great people working there, 10/10.My main complaint is their produce. It lasts less than a week. Go 5 minutes down the road to the Metro Market if you're picking up more than a couple items. You'll save money overall and gain shelf life for your fruits and vegetables.UPDATE 2/5/22: Their produce still spoils within a week, and it seems they will track you down and yell at you on Facebook messenger for leaving a negative review lol (have screenshots, pretty funny if anyone wants them)Unless you're only picking up a couple of things, I stand by my suggestion of heading to Metro Market. Employees are still great, but better prices and quality produce can be had a few minutes up the road.Head here if you're only snagging a few things. Head to Metro Market if you're going to fill the fridge....especially if you want any fruits or vegetables to last more than 4 days

Everybody that works there has always been kind and helpful when needed. They have the convenience of a UPS drop off. And I like the selection of prepackaged go-and-go deli products that are in perfect 1-2 person sizes for a quick and easy lunch.

Slowly going down hill. Price gouging on alot of items compared to other store right down the road and half the time items are out of stock or expired and still on the shelf. Hoping for better.

Nice grocery store with a lot to choose from. Delightful employees, kind and courteous. The only down fall is the slow check out especially if you have a big cart full. It doesn't help that the same person checks the groceries out AND bags them!

I am sure this store has seen better days. But the staff are friendly and I can usually find what I am looking for in a pinch. For a store its size, it has a good selection of products. It is always the place that I rely on for my favorite flavor of Old Dutch potato chips.

We drove and hour looking for a specific item. We called ahead to see if they carried it. We were told they did and was quoted a price. When we got there it was DOUBLE the price!! This must be the only grocery store in town because their prices were high. You can drive towards Madison and shop for less including your gas and save money!!

This is not the first time something like this has happened, but it will be the last for me. I purchased a small roast to cook, it looked like a nice cut, very little visible fat. I understand that roasts like this are not going to be the leanest, but I was not ready for what i found on the underside. The cut had been hacked up so it could be partially folded, concealing a sizable portion of fat and two loose chunks of meat/fat. This is not the first deceptively packaged cut I have gotten from the meat department here, but it will be the last time I purchase any non-processed meat here.

What a shame this is the only store in CG proper. Produce is terrible, and almost everything is extremely overpriced. Only nice thing are there are usually multiple cashiers and the young people are always courteous. That being said I only go here anymore if I only need one thing for something I’m cooking right then, otherwise it’s Metro 4 miles down the road every time

It would be fine but there were a people not wearing masks, and employees wearing the neck gaiters that don't even work. Bad covid safety... And this during the omicron surge? Too bad, it was a convenient location.I don't envy them having to enforce this stuff. It's not really fair. But here we are. At least make the employees wear real masks. Heck, they should be providing the employees with n95s or at least surgical masks... But anyway.Not the best place to go if you don't wanna catch covid I guess.

Piggly Wiggly's grocery store was a place that I needed to grab something really quick it was very accessible I went into the grocery store had a very pleasant experience there and was able to find what I needed very quickly and the Personnel that worked there were very helpful would recommend it to anyone

Nice grocery store for small town with good selections. Prices are way more then your regular woodmans, pick n save or Hyvee stores so I wouldn’t do any bulk shopping here. Deli area looked like a ghost town and didn’t look fresh. I’d recommend it if you need a thing or 2 but for full on grocery shopping. Also not very diverse, pretty much all Caucasians.

I usually love this store and the staff . I just had a scary experience with a Butterball Turkey I purchased there. Apparently They do not check the processing dates before putting them out. There is no experation date, just a julienne code. My Thanksgiving Turkey was 2yrs and 10 months old!! It smelled rancid after thawing. I was able to get a replacement at no charge but way to screw up Thanksgiving😝

I was working and the shop came through so late that I only had 7 minutes to complete it was like 20 items to grab and the staff here was great they helped me out and stayed a little bit late so that I could get the majority of the items I needed for the customer so rated them a five stars cuz very pleasant to have somebody be accepting and not be angry because you're in there like 10 minutes past or closing trying to check out thanks guys I appreciate it

I was very impressed with this Piggly Wiggly. I just stopped in because my yoga studio is in the same shopping center and I needed bananas. I signed up for a Piggly Wiggly card to take advantage of the specials. All of the employees I interacted with were extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back.
