My pup started a really bad cough almost over night - honking, wheezing, coughing up foam. It made for a rough night, and of course, as a big snow storm started. While other vets closed, Deer Grove got us in first thing in the morning. Got her checked out to ensure there were no major concerns beyond kennel cough. Got her some medications to ease symptoms and she’s finally able to get some rest. Otherwise she would have had to wait it out over the weekend. The staff was kind, so sweet with her and really helpful in answering my questions. Thank you Deer Grove clinic!

Our family has had several yellow labs that we’ve taken to Deer Grove. Our first lab we took here, Scoop, he was quite elderly and we believe the care he received here allowed us more time with our buddy than expected. We’ve said goodbye to two of our labs with the Deer Grove team. Scoop and Chip both passed years ago and I, to this day, will not forget the kindness and compassion the entire Deer Grove team showed our family during these times.

Dr. Raab and the techs are amazing. My puggle has struggled with going to the vet and it has only gotten worse over the years. Today we saw Dr. Raab and they took extra time and went at my dog’s pace to minimize her stress. We used plenty of treats, breaks, and snuggles to get through our visit. I know that the staff was busy, but you’d never be able to tell because of the time and care they took with me and my dog. I drove home with happy tears thinking about how well they treated her. I have also seen Dr. Raab for my cat who ended up having hyperthyroidism. Dr. Raab took all the time we needed to answer my questions, go over options, and come up with a treatment plan. Highly recommend.

When we moved to Madison my spaniel was dealing with an ear/yeast infection that just wouldn’t go away. I called several vet clinics in Madison who wouldn’t take us last minute due to not having established care. It really wasn’t emergent enough to take him to the Emergency Vet Hospitals but I really didn’t want it getting worse. I called Deer Grove and they were able to squeeze us in for an appointment in a VERY reasonable amount of time for being new patients. We established both of our dogs care here because of their kindness and will continue with care. I would say their prices are fairly reasonable for the Madison area and worth the kindness of all the staff at the clinic.

Growing up my family brought our pets to Dr Frame. I’ve gone to other veterinarians in the area (ones closer to my home) ultimately driving a little further is worth it for the care Dr Frame provides. He always explains my pets condition in depth then goes over different treatment options. He takes the time to answer all of my questions and even provided me with his cell phone number after my dog had major surgery. The reception staff is very helpful and friendly. Have recommended this clinic to several friends and family members and will continue to do so!

It was a tough day yet the support we felt before, during and after made all in the difference in helping us begin to move through the grief we battle in this circle of life. We have been taking our pet's there for the past 18 years and Dr. Frame has been our Vet of choice there. Our current dog is a rescue and a bit of a pickle when it comes to his interaction with other dogs "he loves them a bit too much". So when ever we visit he waits in the car until a room is open an we go right in, as they understand his enthusiasm. Dr. Fame always assures me "Chance" is a good dog. With out question, he is just a little enthusiastic to say the least. But, I have seen posts regarding cost, I want to tell you all it's going to cost you where ever you go and yes Vet's have to make money as well. But what I have found over the years is that they make suggestions regarding additional services but Dr. Frame has always been frank about what really needs to be done and what is considered optional. I like this quality about him and we ask for him each time we come in. I would always recommend this location and Dr. Frame.

My cat had been having ear issues, but since I recently moved to the opposite side of town I needed to go somewhere close. After being shot down by 4 other vets in the area (either due to not taking new clients or not having availability for at least a week because I'm a new client) they were able to get me in very quickly. The woman at the front desk was incredibly personable, which put my worry at ease. Dr Z was amazing--very thorough, patient, and informative. So far, so good!

My dog had an issue over the weekend. My regular vet couldn’t see us for a couple of hours, and the emergency vet was doing a surgery predicted to take about 3 hours. Deer Grove was my sister’s vet, and she recommended we call them. They willingly let us come in immediately, despite not even knowing our dog, and they got us the pain meds and antibiotics we were hoping for. Everyone treated us so well and took our concerns seriously. We will definitely be switching to them for all of our future needs.

Dr. Frame has been our family vet for nearly 20 years. A few weeks ago we had to put our 14.5 year old dog Zoe down because she had cancer. He performed a total of 3 surgeries on her through out her life, he gave us 6 more years with our girl. The entire staff is truly amazing and they all have a true love and passion for what they do! We just got a new puppy and there is no where else I'd take her for vet care.

I have been taking my cockapoo to Deer Grove for almost 13 years. Everyone is always great there and I absolutely love Dr. Frame. He is totally honest and gives plenty of recommendations but doesn't pressure me into anything. He is so sweet to my dog and does everything he can to make her comfortable during her visits.

I want to give a BIG shout out to all of the staff of the Deer-Grove Veterinary Clinic! I had my dog in there this morning for a procedure and they were incredible. Dr. Pecore, Kristin, Logan, Nicole, and the receptionists all were great. Dealing with a dog with severe anxiety and a stubborn streak takes patience and flexibility which they all had. I got updates during the procedure too on the app which was a neat service they now provide. Thank you all for going above and beyond for us!

Don't have much to compare it to, but prices usually hurt the bank...though most medical care does anyways these days. The staff is kind and friendly, and answer questions knowledgeably. It was obvious that they cared when we had to put our dog down, and even had a room that's generally dedicated to it to create a peaceful environment.

If you are looking for kind, understanding, caring staff and vets, This is the place to go. Our regular vet was not able to get our Lola (Shepard, Husky, Border Collie, Mut) in because she had been vomiting. Deer Grove was able to get her in the next day. In the 3 weeks we were there, Lola saw all three of there vets. They all fell in love with her because she really was such a sweet dog. After a ultrasound determined it was cancer, we put our 14 year old family member to sleep. The kindness that their staff and vets showed us was outstanding. When we chose to get a new dog, Deer Grove will be their vet.

I was reminded once again today why we have been customers for 18 years. I needed to get our big dog "Chance" in to be seen as we noticed over the past few days that his face has began to droop on one side. Alarming of course. I did my usual research on the web to see all possible causes after I made an appointment to have him seen. Dr. Frame "my favorite" discussed his experience with such things, as well as worse case scenario. Then he zeroed in on what we was most important to address at this moment. His calm and patient manner and explanations regarding what was happening, how my dog may be feeling is amazing. Their staff is always wonderful of course as well.

We have loved our time with Deer Grove, continually receiving thorough and personal care. Deer Grove saw us through our previous dogs' decline and deaths and the adoptions of our new dogs. Every vet we have worked with listens carefully and cares about our animals. I also appreciate that I never feel gouged or taken advantage of: when we adopted Digby recently, he previously had been diagnosed with skin disorder. Dr Frame gave us options: wait to see what would happen, saving us an expensive test, or have the test now. We appreciated that we were give a choice and that the ramifications on Digby were clear to us both ways. For a decade, we have driven forty minutes from home to vet out of appreciation for their remarkable service and ethics.
