We were tourists in town and were pleasantly surprised. We found our meal to be good tasting at a great value. Service was prompt and friendly. There was only one surprise. When we received our dinner check tax was already a day figured in but when we handled the bill at the register it was higher. Their credit card processor charges a fee and that was automaticaly being passed on to us. I would have like to know that before hand otherwise I would have paid cash. Once again, overall, great experience and good food.

Decided to treat myself to a hot meal after a night of rain while camping at Brunet Island State Park. Sam’s Place is THE place to have a lovingly prepared, delicious meal. The chicken and dumpling soup was homemade and the chicken was shredded white and dark meat. It was perfect. I ordered a burger and fries and everything came out hot. The burger was huge and the fries crispy.The quality was great and each and every employee took the time to chat with me, both the waitstaff and kitchen staff. Very friendly atmosphere with employees who want their customers to have a great meal. I recommended Vegetarian options: Meatless burger available on menu

Best Eggs Benedict I ever ate! Large portions & very reasonably priced! Very clean dining area with down home feel & home cooked taste. Nice clean bathroom. Waitress was very attentive & nice. I do recommend this Diner :)Wheelchair accessibility: Small concrete ramp for door entrance

Great little Diner, was so refreshing to see some high schoolers working! Very friendly staff, also greatly appreciated the staff being chill with us eating in so close to closing! We were exhausted, and having a place to sit down and rest our feet along with a great meal was so needed tonight!! Thank you to all who were working tonight! Thanks for letting us rest for a bit!!!

Absolute awesome fish fry's and shrimp on Friday nights! And good food any other night as well! The staff is great! Just a fantastic place to bring the family or just the two of you to go any night a week and grab some great food and or ice cream! And don't forget the fantastic 1919 root beer!

The waitress was sweet. The place was empty at 5:30 pm.They were out of vanilla soft serve and flavor burst.I ordered the broaster chicken and jojos with tzatziki sauce. The chicken breast was slightly dry. The tzatziki sauce was mostly Greek yogurt with a little cucumber in it.

We had their fish fry this past Friday and oh my gosh the perch was so good. You get a ton of food with their fish fry dinner. Huge pieces of perch. We tried their breakfast this morning and it was also very good. Food came out of the kitchen in less then 10 minutes.

Great service, super dog friendly and the perch dinner was excellent! We had some ice cream on the patio with our dog while we waited for our carry out, which was delivered to us along with some dog pets 😁❤️

It,s 90° and very humid. Wife and I stopped in initially for an ice cream cone. We saw the diner special for the Friday night fish fry we opted to give it a try. What a pleasant experience. Food was served hot and fast. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes. The staff was very pleasant and check on us very frequently. Grabbed a Togo menu as we will definitely return. Finally something in Cornell worth a review. We highly recommend. A definite fan of the soft serve icecream cones. Not just vanilla, they have chocolate and twist cones. A must have.

Very good food, ordered for a quick bite as I wanted to try something local while camping. Strongly recommend the jalapeno burger (forgot the name...). My friend got a ranch wrap, and it had an incredible amount of ranch. Luckily, we love ranch!Staff do not wear masks, and there is a sign effectively saying masks optional for staff and customers, citing the HIPAA. A curbside pickup option would be nice as I am not comfortable going within 6ft of strangers w/o a mask.

My small family of 3 came in on Father’s Day and had a rude, inattentive waitress who slammed my daughter’s cinnamon roll plate in front of her, and hardly came to check on us. The food was good, but the service was subpar at best.
