This seasonal place absolutely rocks. We were greeted upon entering and treated with much kindness and respect. We had a great conversation and was given a generous serving of cedar crest icecream...24 flavors to pick from. We consumed our icecream outside on a patio surrounded by beautiful flowers. There were also tables inside if we chose to stay inside. This establishment is one block from the Old Abe State Trail. Upon walking outside with our icecream, the owner told us he would happily fill our water bottles as we were getting ready to leave biking. When we left, he also gave us a few pieces of homemade carmel his wife made...nice!Update 7-30-2022. Ice cream flavors and customer service still rock!

Met a couple who said I need to stop here to get Ice cream so I did. Cash only & I only had $2 on me because I was bike riding. I got my scoop of ice cream. Owner was very friendly. Definitely a must stop for a delicious treat.

Ok pricing.... for the amount you pay we had gotten so much. The ice cream was out of this world. I am definitely going there again, it's a must try...in a place you wouldn't even know was there.

They have a couple new ice cream flavors; as well as serving smoothies and other items dairy and non-dairy. They accept card as well, which is great!

Unbelievable experience. Called to check if open and owner said closed 45 minutes earlier, but asked where we were and said would wait for us. Ice cream was awesome. Also had a great garden to sit in. The owner was amazing. The experience was the best we have had in a long time. He made our night. It is worth the drive and would give 10 stars if we could.

Lovely place for ice cream, provides plenty of choices for flavors, and the staff is always friendly and feels very local. I remember going here all the time as a kid with my family during camping trips, and it was such good times. Can get a bit busy in the summer.

Location Location. Love that you are the prefect 1/2 way spot on our bike rides. The ice cream keeps you fueled on a 30 mile ride.

What a fun stop on our scenic drive when it was so hot yesterday! They had several ice cream flavors to choose from, even a sugar free. The prices are so reasonable and the staff were incredibly friendly! It will certainly be a stop for us again in the future!

In from out of town and staying at the state park. Nice walk to Main Scoop with a delicious treat at the end. Makes for a great day when the weather is warm.Owner is very friendly. Cash only but ATM next door in bowling alley, $3 ATM fee.

I stumbled across this delightful store while looking for a different business, and I'm glad I stopped in. They carry 26 delicious flavors of Cedar Crest brand ice cream. Well, I've only tried three of them, but I'm sure they're all delicious. The owner told me that she and her husband have owned The Main Scoop for 17 years, and they seem to enjoy serving the community. The store is open from May 1st through the end of September each year, so do your tastebuds a favor and stop in if you are in the Cornell, WI area!

We come here every year on vacation for the ice cream! Chocolate shake is my go-to, ice cream is good quality and creamy. Just make sure to bring cash as they do not take card.

Owner was fantastic, and a pleasure to talk with. Ice cream was incredible. I came back the next day to sit in the little park area with my dog. I highly recommend this place!

Cute little ice cream shop! It's perfect for children cause there's so many delicious flavors to choose from. And which adult can resist a couple scoops of Moose Tracks or Blueberry cheescake icecream? Very friendly couple who runs it!

This is 12 years in the coming. Been to the other "ice cream" place and no comparison.The Main Scope is the real deal. Always plenty of selection direct from the producer (rumor has it, the other place gets theirs second hand) and the service is second to none. The owners recognize annual repeat customers and welcomes them back. Portions are always generous and the product is always fresh.The Main Scope is a must stop in Cornell.

The Main Scoop is a MUST place to visit if you are anywhere near Cormell. What a treat we have had stopping at this adorable ice cream shop! Campers often fill the shop when we are there. The Main Scoop has sooooo many flavors and the owners and are so warm and welcoming. It is a true treat in many ways. We stop there anytime we are near Cornell and often when we are not. It is well worth the trip! Don't pass up the Carmel Collision, and enjoy the beautiful gardens outside as you eat.

Really nice service. We bought a bunch of cones and my son dropped his outside on the ground. When we went back in to get another one for him they wouldn't let us pay for it. We'll be back!
