I have been buying, quarter, half and whole cows from different places and processing at different places for over 20 years. I bought a quarter that was processed at Country Pride in October 2023. At process time I asked if they double wrap the meat and was told yes. It's now April 15th 2024 we just started using this meat because we had some of the last half cow we bought over two years ago to finish. When we opened the first package we found the plastic wrap was not covering all of the steak. Each end was exposed and freezer burnt. I decided to look at more steaks and found the same. I also realized that the meat is not cut properly. I opened a package labeled chuck roast that is cut 3.5 inches by 1.5 inches by 13 inches. I'm not sure what to think of it all. I will be sure to never use Country Pride again. Very disappointing thinking your getting choice meat and realizing the processor ruined it.

I have been going here for about 5 years , and have to say , by far the best beef tenderloin you are gonna find. Prices alway a bit on the high side , but was worth the quality you would get , tenderloin price has been going nuts , I know manyReasons , but at some point even a very good cut of meat is not worth it , I stoped buying tenderloins at $28 per pound , I have seen it as high as Almost $35 per pound , I had no plan to stop eating filet’s , so I shopped other stores , Cosco, I found some very nice beef filet for $18.99 a pound , and have been buying there ever since , so in all honesty , Cosco beef is not as high quality as CP , but for $11 to $15 a pound cheaper I don’t mind an extra chew or 2 , Still love the people at CP and the Quality of there Beef , But the price is a little to out of wack for me.

If you plan on buying anything from the refrigerator case make sure to check the date. They are not doing their job and inventorying their refrigerator case. Shame on me for not doing their job of checking the date and wasting $50 on a whole skirt steak that's been sitting in there rotting for nearly 2 weeks. I'll spare you the description of the smell that I got when I opened it when I got home to break it down into smaller pieces.

Excellent quality. Fresh, tastey, local. Brats and burgers !!! Many treats and surprises when you visit the store. The dog bones are also 5star according to my dog.

You can't beat Country Pride's quality and service! They have great specials every week and a fantastic selection of fresh and frozen meats of all kinds. You certainly won't find the kinds of brat flavors they have anywhere else. You won't regret stopping in!

In the past I had good luck with them. This last 6# prime rib I got for christmas was the worst cut of meat I have ever seen. Tons of silverback and more fat then meat. Ruined or Christmas dinner but I thought I had a reliable source for good cuts of meat. That was enough for me to not go back. Costco had better cuts then this… Really disappointed with this butcher.

Been here twice. Bought half a cow and then a whole pig. Meat tasted excellent. Have not had the pork yet but it looks like it is packaged well. They seem to do an excellent job cutting and packaging the meat.

If you're looking for quality at a very reasonable price, then this place is what you are looking for. The meats are locally raised and processed on site. Support a local small business, a local family and the community. The quality of beef is far better than you will find at any grocery store. They have over 20 different flavors of brats, and so many other products to choose from.

Whenever I come to town for work, I always stop in to get meat sticks & cheese curds or sometimes summer sausage for my work day. I usually get some meat to take home for supper later that day. I live about 2 1/2 hours away in Illinois and I really appreciate this small family business. My sons and I have spent many years in the meat industry so I understand the hard work that goes into this from the beginning to the final product. They do an awesome job here!

Small family butcher. Good variety but you can order anything. Love their selection of spices. Our raw dog food comes from here. Great cuts with a friendly touch.

I bought a 10lb bag and saw more feathers than I wanted to see open bag a saw all these feathers. Had to cut the meat off because of them. I worked in a poultry for 15 years and something like that would not have gotten out of the door

Just terrible!!! CAUTION: Do not allow them to process your livestock. We took 3 heifers in for processing in November 2019 and the beef we got was extremely inferior quality; we question if what we got back was even ours. It is all white chunks, what appears to be cartilage and veins. Difficult to eat with all of the chunks of inedible matter in the meat. The weight is low, each pound of burger weighs just shy of a pound with the packaging. We have received complaints from our buyers and have never received complaints from our regular buyers in past years when our livestock was taken to other processors.

Country Pride has a good selection of locally raised beef and pork. You can special order cuts. All the meat is very reasonable priced.

A complete disorganized mess. Placed order, then a week later was told they didn't have our name.Cut a friend's meat incorrect.Never seen such a fiasco!If there ever was an opportunity of zero stars this would be a perfect example

Had a steer done a few yrs ago and haven't been back. Hockey puck sized tallow added to roasts and some steaks. Don't know who got the tenderloin but it wasn't us. Was supposed to get half in tbones and half whole. Well the tbones had up to an inch of it and no other half at all. Lots of fatty burger when we asked for extra lean. Excuses when we called for 2 weeks before we got some of our steer.
