I checked on battery for ego weed trimmer 2.5 battery there price is 170.00 at ace. the whole trimmer with battery and charger is not much more. I looked on Amazon and found lots of them for approximately 80.00 wow.sad

Very very friendly and helpful staff. If looking for spray paint, ACE has their own brand that is a bit more cost efficient than the major brands. Plus, they have their own brand in more than just BLACK & WHITE! great location if you live nearby and don't want to use the gas to go to a bigger store. What you would save on the product you would spend in gas anyways. Kinda miss the old small town hardware stores...

Went looking for four straight fully insulated female wire connectors. Found packs of 50 & 100, but asked for help and we found a six pack of "Female/Angle Disconnect." Changed my design and my vocabulary on the spot. My generation called these things "Connectors" and I never plan to disconnect them. Thanks for the help and for adding to my continuing education.

We come here because it’s convenient. We live on the West Hill. But it’s very disappointing when we go there. The manager or whatever he is, will never greet you. He just gives you a blank look and constantly snaps his gum. He is the face of the business! He should be welcoming customers; asking if they need assistance. But no. Never. Thankfully Menards is coming. We will take our business there.

This Ace is laughable. Ive lived in Chippewa Falls for 3 years now and the store has been unorganized the entire time. Stuff in storage boxes laid out in the isles almost every time im there. Half the time Ive bought something its a different price when checking out because alot of the items are put in the wrong place. If it says its in stock when looking online, its most likely not.

I purchased a Snowblower from Jacobson’s last year and I’m finally getting to use it this year. The delivery was great and so was the service, however they didn’t put it together correctly which has costed me something more valuable than money… time.

We just recently renovated a house in the Chippewa Falls area. Made severable(many) trips to the downtown location. The store is stocked well, with great employees who are knowledgeable and friendly.

I made a special trip here to buy soft plastic fishing lures, as they were the only business in this metro area that have them. I figured support a area business instead of getting them online. I even looked for extra stuff to buy, but nothing popped out. Then I went to the register to check out and found out how unwelcome I was. Never again. I’ll find these online from now on. Why would I support local businesses when they treat you like they don’t need you?

Half of the items don’t have prices. The other half ring up higher than the shelf sticker says. They give out coupons all the time, waited in line five minutes to be told you couldn’t use it on food items despite no where on the coupon did it say you couldn’t. I avoid this place unless I have no other option

Great store with a little of everything and great people. Watch for sale promos which are always great deals on high quality items. The prices are a little higher than menards on everyday things, but that reflects the reality of a living wage for the people producing the goods. Watch for coupons to mitigate the cost a little.

We drove 20 minutes to pick up an item their website said they had in stock. We got there, the employees were rude and told us they had none. We pulled out our phones and they said they have multiple items in stock and we were given more attitude in return. Find a different ace. Or go to a different store entirely. These people are not worth your time.

It's convenient for people who live out by the lake but a little bit pricey. They do have a good selection of paint and fasteners. If you watch for specials the prices on the rest of their stuff is competitive. Beats driving to Menards for the small stuff.

Went to this Ace for the first time to get a wax ring for a toilet, walked in and the place was in disarray, shelves were half full and boxes left in the isles. Found the plumbing isle and they were out of wax rings, I ended up having to drive down to the Menards in EC to get what I needed. I’ve always counted on Ace stores to be well organized and sufficiently stocked, this was not the case. The condition of the store looked like they were going out of business with the amount of bare shelves they have. I’ve always been the type to try and support the little guy but it’s hard to do with a store like this.

I like what they've done with the place with the exception of the spring good area, it's almost as if they've given up selling the usual hunting items. Otherwise the store was stocked and just amazingly able to have the stuck insane to match many fastening parts, bolts, screws, and nuts.

I like the hardware store. I found things that I didn't know they carried. There is a UPS drop off place there so if you need to send something back it would save you the trip to Eauclaire to send back packages. They cut keys as well so you can get copies too. Friendly staff and clean store with sporting goods department as well. Still a great home town hardware store.

Went to look for a power tool that showed that it was in the store got somebody to help me kind of look for it and instead of looking it up and trying to help figure out the problem I get the response of well it doesn't mean if it's online that we have it. So instead of looking it up and asking if I would like to order it if they didn't have it he just sent me to go to a different store. Very poor customer service .

Poor customer service and the store is continually in disarray. Went 3 times to get keys cut but no "qualified" service personnel available to perform this simple task and there were several other people waiting for help ahead of me. No one seems to care which never happened when it was Gordy's Hardware. Will never go back. Sad because they're attitude is driving local customers away.

Very nice selection of stuff and not over crowded with people. However, the lady that worked the register judged me for sending a package to Maryland during Christmas. She also asked if it was for my grandkids.... I’m 24 years old...

Service was very subpar, 2 young men were more interested in standing outside and smoking than helping customers. I probably could have walked out without paying and they wouldn't have had a clue or cared.

Took a screen in for repair. As I entered I was rudely told it would be month and I should go to the Wissota store. I proceeded to the back dropped off screen, was told I would get a call when done. As I started to leave another cashier rudely told me it would be a month and then went back to tell that to the employee that had taken the screen. If the person at Wissota is not busy maybe take some from this store over there. Don't inconvenience the customer.

This place has alot to offer if you live nearby. Saved me many trips to Eau claire or hallie just for nuts & bolts. You can also drop off UPS packages here for pick-up.

Great hardware store. Friendly associates and a wide variety of items conveniently located in downtown Chippewa Falls! I drop UPS packages off here as well and they are always friendly and helpful. Great service.

was looking for add items on a sale that was going to end. wasted my time going to this Hardware store only to find out they don't honor the Ace rewards discount, and their prices were way over what the Ace add said. over priced, un organized,poorly labelled. high school cashier not helpfull.
