Cute place and extremely friendly staff.Everything was very good, the chicken, Cole slaw, fresh fruit, Hawaiian grilled sandwich. Store area has a wide variety of items to purchase, i.e. salsas, pickles, cheeses, homemade noodles (many different flavors and shapes), seasoning mixes for many types of meals, including white chicken chili which I might buy next visit.I love that there is such a wide variety of bottled sodas and such. We had Door County Cherry and Jarritos Pineapple sodas.Definitely coming back.

Delicious Turkey Swiss grilled to perfection! Hilde is friendly and welcoming! We arrived a few minutes past grill closing, yet she offered up fresh deli or a hot sandwich (we said, "Yes, please!) Clean facility. Excellent choices for deli and extras. You'll find Door County Coffee and Vern's Cheese as she supports Wisconsin and locals! Home-made bread? It's so great you'll wanna take a loaf home for toast! Great idea for gifts - seasonal items and standards. A MUST-stop if you're in the area...dine in, or picnic nearby.

Always love visiting Hilde's. Especially like their fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, & mac n cheese. Their tuna & egg salad on crescents are very good too, as are their pizza & desserts. I appreciate the large & unique variety of glass bottle sodas, & always find something new to try. Went to my 1st painting night here, & everyone was so helpful & accommodating. Especially loved my moonshine I purchased, Strawberry Dream (looks like you're drinking strawberry milk! Lol)

Love places like this in the old downtown areas. The rest of our party ordered off the daily hot food menu and really enjoyed their meal, but I had the artichoke pizza, and it was remarkable!! I highly recommend the pizza. I can't imagine that I would have loved anything as much. The pastries were also very good.

I ordered the Hawaiian Sandwich and changed out the pepper cheese for cheddar. I asked for the onions to be "grilled extra caramelized," and no lettuce, (the description on the front of the glass states it comes lettuce,) but the woman who waited on me said, "The sandwich doesn't come with lettuce." When the sandwich came, it was on grilled potato bread and enormous at that! I couldn't even eat the whole thing! It was served with a delicious, spicy side sauce on the side, reminiscent of a sriracha mayo. The sandwich was absolutely delicious. Both the ham and turkey were juicy and the pineapple added that extra sweetness that was needed when you used that spicy sauce. The cheddar cheese was melted over everything, warm and gooey, stringy as I pulled the sandwich apart. The cheese had a nice, aged bite, which means to me it was at least 7 months old or more, a nice aged cheddar. Good job picking out the cheese, Hilde's🙋. Kudos to you!😀 All around, it was a very flavorful sandwich!As a seasoned chef, I know a good place to eat and Hilde's is one of them where everyone needs to go and try her food. Holds cooks mostly the "farm to table" and makes the "from scratch" kind of cooking you'd get at home. Ohh, so good you wouldn't believe it. You really have to try it yourself. She runs daily specials that are priced out of this world! She also sells jarred pickles, fruits, barbeque sauce, pickled cauliflower, etc. There's also baked goods for sale, too. My grandson and I enjoyed our first visit there today. My croissant was so very fresh ..it literally melted in my mouth. We enjoy the chicken, mac and cheese and the chicken and gravy. We also got a peak at their BAP...30" PIZZA. Holy cow that's a huge pizza. Very nice owner who checked on us and what a nice hard working owner. We'll be back and next time to enjoy the large retail items for sale too. Applause. Applause!

Great food and great people. Ask Hilde or any of her staff to make you a sandwich and it will be one of the best you have had. From meet and cheese selection to the fresh bread they make. They also do great catering for local businesses. I had to order for 3 shifts with two of the shifts having multiple groups. They brought the food out and when we ran low on some items they came out with move very quickly. Great job!

Food was absolutely excellent! Pretty sure that was the best fried chicken I have ever had in my life! Very friendly staff. Hilde herself came to our table to ask if everything was okay. I took home a loaf of bread from their deli, so good!

This is a hit or miss? The owner is a wonderful friendly lady who does her best to create a wonderful shopping experience and dine in. The deli deserts are wonderful, deli sides have been overly seasoned to the point of throwing away half of it. This restaurant makes a sassy Hawaiian melt which I believe is their calling card hands down I need that recipe (the $9 sandwich is worth paying) then there is the fried chicken where if the fryers have fresh oil it is one of the best fried chicken spots but if the oil is old or has been in the hot case too long it does not taste very good. One man when I saw that the fried chicken was down to the last 2 pieces I asked if they could make a new fresh batch for us, the man said no he can not and gave us the remaining scraps of chicken to eat on site. This time the fried chicken sucked, dried out and tasted old. If the man who worked there is at the register I will walk out immediately but if the owner is present my family will continue to buy her food because she tries her best to have food that is fresh and delicious that brings returning smiles.

We had the barbecue pork sandwich, which was delicious. It was on a nice thick bun, and the barbecue sauce was mixed in thoroughly with the pork and was just right - not overpowering. It was a very generous portion. I also had Hilde's honey maxed creamy potato salad, and it also was delicious. Topped everything off with a piece of pumpkin mouse, which was nice and pumpkiny, and light. I would highly recommend.

We stop on the way around the art tour.It’s a Saturday so they close at two. We arrived at 1:35. The owners? We’re so accommodating. My friend is gluten-free, but she ( Hilde?) went out her way to make her something she enjoyed.I had the sassy Hawaiian sandwich. It’s was awesome. They made us feel rushed because of time. What a wonderful walk back in time to gentle, caring business.Thank you.

No matter what you get, EVERYTHING is delicious! Whether it's breakfast sandwiches, pizza, chicken dinners, sandwiches, deli salads or any of the homemade bakery, it's all wonderful. My favorite dessert is the poppy seed torte! Hilde and her staff are always friendly and make you feel right at home. A must stop in Chilton!

Hildes is just amazing! Such a cute place with everything you could ask for! Breakfast you can grab a hot sandwich or doughnuts & coffee, lunch/dinner she has amazing sandwiches and a hot case so you can get a full delicious meal! Friday fish and pizza is super yummy! And the snacks and desserts!!! Mmmm! You will not be disappointed stopping here!!

Hilde's is the best! There's a wide selection of food and you can't go wrong with the BAP (pizza). I'm a big fan of the coffee and there's also a great room with comfy seating if you're looking for a place to work while you enjoy her deli delights!

You don't get these many 5 star reviews by accident. This place is very well managed with great staff, and great food. I once ordered a pizza with spicy pepper toppings that she did not carry, and she asked me if i would like her to carry them from now on and i said yes that would be great. Now i can order my favorite pizza whenever i like...just awesome service.

Wouldn't order the perch/fries again. Tastes like the oil in the frier hasn't been changed in weeks. Pretty disappointing. Cold slaw was meh.

The ladies and gentlemen that work at Hilde's are very friendly! The deli food is great. The desserts and cookies are wonderful. There is a huge variety of chips, dips, pastas, cheeses, specialty pickled items. Try Hilde's new Hawaiian Sandwich. You wont be sorry!
