What a gem!Best breakfast I have had in a long, long time. The chicken fried steak was perfect and the best I have ever had. Sausage gravy was great and the eggs were exactly as I asked. Rare place that actually has sourdough bread.Great prices and very generous portions.Absolutely recommend.The owner was our server that day and she also makes incredible jams and other treats that are available for purchase.It's a little small but definitely the place to stop if you are anywhere nearby!Be warned - no credit cards - cash and check only.Cannot recommend strongly enough!

This is a great stop in a Lil tiny town! Guy ain't wrong.....there is a great attention to the menu & the preparation here. The Eggs Benedict is flawless and we all had a great breakfast here. It should be know that they also have quite amazing Bloody Marys & other helping hands if you're ready to start drinking in the morning or later! Thx BH!

This place is AMAZING. The pancakes have vanilla in the batter. DELICIOUS! The bacon was cooked to perfection too. The portions are good, and the service is excellent. You feel like family there. Keep up the excellent work.

I ate here before and was excited considering we loved all the other restaurants in cable but I. Was very disappointed with this one. There we a teen girl working there probably 16 or 17 took her forever to get us 3 waters even though we were the only people there. She also sat there on her phone even when it was clear we needed a refill on water. Also on top of being disappointed with the service our food took over an hour to come out and it was cold and gross. I will never be back here again.

To be fair this place was packed with only 1 cook and server. But food was sub par, unfortunately so was the service. Fingers crossed for them it was just a bad day. We wanted to like it, and the lady who waited on us was funny and genuine. Seemed like good people maybe just having a hard day.

Food was so delicious, poor waitress was getting to leave early until we showed up and then a couple other vehicles, she was still smiling and friendly. Food is HUGE portions which makes the wait seem nonexistent. Little chilly in there but it’s Northern Wisconsin. Only takes cash or checks. Will be going back many more times, I am sure.

We came for breakfast this morning and we're glad we did. Our waitress was very nice who is also the owner. The food was great and very generous portions. My daughter even asked if we could come back again which is a compliment, she can be quite the critic when it comes to her food haha!

We have a cabin in the next town over. On the morning we are ready to leave, we eat at this cafe.The food is has always been good. The prices are fair. They also have a wonderful staff who is friendly and meet your needs.If I have one compliant, it would be that the cafe is a little small. If you can get past that, the rest of experience is an absolute delight.

If you are in the Cable area, for any reason, include this spot. Unbelievable home cooked food, served by the best owner/waitress anywhere in the Northwoods. Took relatives there yesterday morning and they had the lemon cream cheese donut french toast. Yes. That is not a mistaken text. And yes, it was as good as it sounds. The place is small, so come with patience. If you don't have time, go to Hayward. I'm sure you'll be happy with your McMeal breakfast. We who know great food will be thrilled to get our food a little bit sooner! This place is one of those places that makes you think "l'm home!" .

Me and my uncle are in the cable cafe there was almost no other people in there I ordered a brat special and he ordered a burger it took almost an hour to get out food. She flips all the food on the grill with her grizzly bear fingers. No cooking tools used once. The bun for the burger was hard as a rock on both sides the burger was dried right out. It was simply the worst and most duiscusting dining experience I have ever had in my life. I was charged a 1.75 for lettuce on a burger. No soda refills. Never go there.

Took forever to get food, had to go up and ask for more coffee. Doesn't say anywhere in building that its cash only. Would not recommend this place, will never go back
