Went for gardening supplies a few weeks ago, staff were friendly and helpful with finding what I was looking for. Went today and spoke with a young guy (David, I think) from the sporting desk. Very knowledgeable, gave me some advice pertaining to different functions on things, helped me feel more confident in making a decision on what product to buy.

So far so good either way it is way better than anything that has been in there to date. Had a great experience with a young gentleman at the sporting desk knew a lot about the products and gave some good insight. Hoping that this being a family owned business will stay here in Burlington with a good variety of stocked items. Would suggest giving some of the other employees some training as they don’t seem to be engaged where they could be, other than that keep up the good work and best of luck in our community!

I went into Running’s for the first time yesterday, and it was a pleasant surprise. After reading all the bad Google reviews, my confidence was low that this new store was going to be any good. But as soon as I walked in, the staff was nice and greeted me, and the place finally looked clean and organized. While walking around, I noticed that the store was clean and laid out really well. The sporting goods section was very well organized and cheap; actually, everything in the store was surprisingly cheap. The deals in Milwaukee were a steal, and I had to get myself a new drill. I saved 50 dollars going to Running's. I’m very happy with the new store; they even sell chicks and other farming products. Me and my family were looking at the chicks, and they all looked happy and healthy. They were clean, and the water was full. They had a great selection of dual-purpose birds. I really like this store, and I’ll be coming into Running’s regularly now

Went to purchase a large item that listed in stock. Got there none on the floor so proceeded to wait for 20 minutes while they found where it was since they had a bunch in stock just didn't know where. They finally found the item and brought it up the register where we waited for another 15 minutes to get checked out. While we waited they had at least 5 employees including the manager at the front check out just chatting it up as we waited to be checked out. Our item was too large to go through the regular checkout aisle so the employee who was actually a great help led us through an aisle wide enough to fit a pallet through as our product was loaded on one, all the while the manager was standing there offering no help. The helpful employee requested someone to help us check out while yet there were still all the same employees at the front just hanging out. We will not be coming back and will continue to shop and Fleet Farm and Farm&Fleet.

So this corporation has renamed the store three or four times now. Not sure if they keep filing bankruptcy and getting some sort of protection to keep renaming it? Either way stopped in last night to check out the new runnings store. It is still a dirty dump. Nothing is clean they could even finish painting where the old sign was. Everything is massively overpriced. You can buy anything. They have anywhere else for much less. Nobody works here. There’s like two people running the store. Will be in business by Christmas time? What is the point of the store continuing to live on? Can we get some decent stores in Burlington for once??

I've lived in the area for more than a decade. I've seen this business go through different name changes over the years. I've been in the store every time a new owner has taken over, but sadly, nothing changes inside the store. Set up is exactly the same, just slapped a different sticker on merchandise. The atmosphere inside is still dingy and dusty. Unfortunately, the staff I've interacted with are also still rude. Sadly, it's just a matter of time before this store goes under, just like the rest have.

Honestly not really a fan. The prices are ok but the staff tends to be on the rude side. Like to the point it is VERY obvious they cater more towards helping older men over other customers. So ladies if you go in looking for something bring a older man with so they will actually help. I have been there 3 times so far for different things and the only real positive is that animals are allowed in the store.

The workers and people who answer the phone have no idea how to talk on the phone or deal with customers. How can you not have someone to do a fishing license one day and then I call and I can barely hear because she is mumbling on the phone and when I ask a question I get no response. How about we train the people who work there and have them learn some damn customer service. This store is the worst store ever. They can do fishing license today but I will not be giving them my business!

Went today to look at chicks for purchase to add to our coop. My family and I were in shock over what we saw here at Runnings. The pen holding the bantams all had what’s called “pasty butt,” in which their own poop covers their vents and can kill them very quickly. In fact, some of the bantam chicks were very lethargic and sickly looking. When we alerted the worker tending to the pens, we were shrugged off and ignored. If Runnings isn’t properly equipped to sell live chicks, then why bother? The inability to care for these chicks is sickening. Won’t return ever. Purchased chicks from Tractor Supply immediately after, in which all looked very healthy.

Stopped in on two occasions. Once after 6pm on a weekend (we didn’t know the hours ahead of time), and they were closed. The hours absolutely suck for the weekend. Stopped in the second time and the employees are absolutely rude. Won’t go back.

Stopped by Saturday during the grand opening and was pretty impressed with the selection. Prices seemed about average. They had some deals going on.
