For the most part I love going to Emerald because it means I will be doing something with the beloved Greyhound breed.This visit was to adopt our newest family member. The volunteers at the kennel or amazing and great to work with. The location may be far away for us, but it's worth the trip.

Hunz loves greyhounds, and they love him. He really looks after them.He works with greyhound rescue groups and most of the rescued greyhounds coming to northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin get kenneled here, before being adopted.He also welcomes back greyhounds for boarding at very competitive rates. The hounds love it as they are amongst other greyhounds, get to exercise in a large enclosed area and also have an outside run accessible to reach cage.He also works with one of the country's foremost veterinary experts on greyhounds, so the dogs have access to the best medical care should they need it.

Specialized in Greyhounds and allows you to stay with your dog throughout the visit.The Vet and assistant love this breed and educate you the entire time. They are higher than most, but you get what you pay for at this place!

This is such a wonderful location for retired greyhounds to stay during their transition from track life to pet life, or for pets to stay while their human parents are away!!Hunz and Nelly are excellent, experienced caretakers for the dogs and treat them firmly and with love and compassion. The yard allows the dogs to run, play, and socialize safely multiple times every day. And the kennels are always very clean, well maintained and properly temperature controlled. With so many rescue organizations visiting regularly, the dogs also get good human interaction time.The location is easy to find and parking is easy, too. For the last 13 years, visiting Emerald and boarding my own pets with Hunz have been consistently positive experiences for me!!

This is the kennel for Greyhound Pets of America-WI and Go Greyhounds rescue organizations. Dogs stay here between the track and their foster/forever homes. GPA has volunteer days the first and third Saturday mornings (9-noon) each month, if you want to interact with the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. Make fast friends!

It's hard to find ppl that love your dog as much as you do, but not here. Our pup is safe, well fed and well cared for here. Great people. More than fair prices. Lots of love for the doggies.

The greyhounds brought to this kennel are very lucky and very happy, the owner takes great pride in loving these hounds and does a terrific job! I would take mine here if i have a need to again and again!!
