Can’t say enough positive about this place. Michelle, the weekday cook, makes the best breakfast I’ve ever eaten! Her pancakes are to die for.. they are huge and are perfectly cooked every time. And if you want great white chili, stop in on Saturdays for Michelle’s fabulous white chicken chili! Be sure to stop in to experience this restaurant. The waitresses, Cheryl and Gayle are pleasant and friendly. They add to the pleasant experience. The owner Sherri is a treasure. She makes delicious desserts! Enjoy!

This place is amazing! The food is super delicious, the staff are very friendly, and the place is really cute. We tried quite a few things off the menu during the three days we were staying in the area. Their broasted chicken is to die for! And all their pies are mouthwatering! You can't go wrong with anything from their breakfast or dinner menu. We will definitely be stopping here again in the future when we are in the area!!

This place is truly amazing. Theresa was our server and she couldn’t have been better. Prompt service, smiling faces, attention to tables before and after the meals.We had 12 of us for breakfast no reservation and we’re sat down immediately. It seemed that everyone in town comes here as the place was filled. Coffee was never less then a half a cup, I had biscuits and gravy with two eggs over easy that was just what I was looking and hoping I would receive. We asked Theresa if the corned beef was fresh made in house and she looked at us puzzled with the expression of “what else do you think we would do?”The county fried steak one of our group was “the best and freshest I have ever eaten”. I didn’t try it, but I can tell this thing was the solid deal. Soaked in buttermilk and Crispy batter dipped served with incredibly fluffy eggs and hash browns so crispy and perfectly seasoned.I could go on here about the breakfast but I think you get it…Their is also a bakery in the restaurant as well where I seen a raspberry rhubarb pie and a blueberry pie that still honestly has steam coming off it…. They looked like they would easily be the blue ribbon winner at any country fair..This place was the best breakfast place I could remember5 stars all the way around

We stumbled across this restaurant while driving home from Calgary to Ontario. It was busy, which is usually a good sign and we soon found out it was fish Friday night. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was excellent. My husband ordered the trout and thoroughly enjoyed it.I left my prescription sunglasses on the table and by the time I realized it we were in Michigan. I called and Sherri mailed them to me at no cost, telling me to pay it forward. Amazing!!Can’t recommend this place enough.

The walleye was delicious but I would not have ordered it except it was advertised as $12.99 on their menu board but I was charged $23.99. When questioned about the price, they refused to honor the advertised price. Happy with the food but very disappointed with the scam.

It was great! Had the special Spanakopita (Greek spinach pie) it was so yummy. I love Greek food and I sure didn't expect to find it way up in Ashland WI when I can't even find it in Green Bay! If I ever get up that way again I'll go back. They also delivered a Southern fried chicken dinner to another table while we were there that looked like a whole chicken 🐔. One of the people I was with had to get one to go.

My chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and corn with white gravy was delicious. Others in my group enjoyed the 2 piece fish plate and the liver and onions. Both of these dinners were also well enjoyed and both had clean plates and happy customers by the end of their meals. PIES were enjoyed for dessert. We had the raspberry rhubarb, banana cream, and butterscotch with heath. We enjoyed the outdoor paito and the great service from two friendly staffers as well as a visit from the owner.

Unique cafe in Brule, WI at hwy 27 & 2 intersection. Great breakfast and coffee. Pies are $25 to take out..they must be good! Pancakes are Large and fluffy..good hash browns. Would recommend. Friendly waitresses.

The boasted chicken is the best we've ever had! You get huge portions of food. We were waited on immediately and the staff was friendly. And the prices were reasonable. Great atmosphere as well. If you like boasted chicken, the Twin Gables in Brule, WI is the place to go!

You know how you stop at a small town restaurant and have hopes of it being great food, warm friendly atmosphere, and the staff are super hospitable?Your hopes will be exceeded if you eat at Twin Gables.We will be back, even if we have to drive 3 hours like we did this time.

The owner, Sherri Hendrickson, is the best restaurateur you'll ever find. She's friendly to a fault, balances the menu with local favorites and seasonal foods, and is always open to suggestions from customers for every dish.85% of the menu is made from scratch, including the huge variety of homemade desserts made personally by Mrs. Hendrickson. Her husband recently built a large solar array in the parking lot to power the building, making Twin Gables one of the most environmentally friendly restaurants in the county - which makes sense seeing as how the town is surrounded by the beautiful Brule River State Forest.Mrs. Hendrickson treats her staff well, and prices her menu fairly. She's one of my favorite people in the World.

Twin Gables Cafe is a great small homey family restaurant with great Friday night fish Fry (Lake Trout!!!! Or white fish!)…comes with soup (I had clam chowder), salad, and breadstick…All served with love and caring! We didn’t have dessert, but the pies and cakes looked terrific!I’d go again for sure, and so skills you. If you do, Go early…they close at 8pm!
