I did not stay. Gentlemen came out of the office while I was checking in. He started yelling at me about leaving a mess in the rooms, I suppose they maybe had a bad experience in the past, but that's no excuse to take it out on me. Especially when I've never been there. I walked out. Absolutely do not recommend. I have never left a bad review for any business. Do better.

Room is clean and good-sized. Has a small table and chairs, TV, mini fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. The beds and pillows are comfortable and the shower had good hot water. Great value for the cost.The motel is right by the Brule River and within walking distance to a gas station convenience store and a bar/restaurant.

Just the place to dry out after capsizing my canoe in the ledges. Clean and comfortable.

More like a 4.5 star.Just stayed here 7/2-7/4. Room was clean and comfortable. I have no idea what pillows they use, but they were so soft it felt like a gel pillow, way better than you would get at a chain or higher end hotel. My only issue with my room was the rubber seal around the bottom of the tub was coming off. I had my doubts about this place before check in, but I can say this place exceeded expectations. Would definitely stay here again. As a travel agent, to find a high quality, budget friendly, locally owned lodging it’s very very hard to find. A group of us were hunting in the area September 2021, when I called I was told to reserve the room for the week but I would only pay for the nights we stayed. The woman I spoke with was very clear about this! Ended up being two nights. I was charged for the week. when I called to straighten out this issue I was told they could not do anything and they called me a liar. The owner is very rude and unprofessional. As for the stay, the motel is outdated and in bad shape. the place is filthy and my suggestion would be find another place. This state is full of hard working, polite and honest business owners. Save your self the headache and uncomfortable stay. I would never patronize the Brule River Motel again!!

This is every bit a 4.5. The room was clean, TV worked, fridge worked. No frills just a nice, clean motel room. The folks who I dealt with at the front desk were beyond nice...thus the bump up to 5, instead of going down to 4. Bonus, there is a bar and grill in walking distance and I do recommend it. Whenever I come up to fish the Brule and I need a room, as opposed to camping...this will be my choice. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

A lot of "rights" with this motel. Right place, right price, right amenities, very accommodating. We came up to ride the ATV trails over the weekend and snatched up the last two rooms available. I can only imagine how difficult it is to get a room here when a world-wide pandemic isn't happening. Very convenient to have this as our base of operations and the nearby restaurants are great!

Safety chain attached to door molding, which was pulling off the wall, and door cracked along edge - not very secure. No WiFi in our room though able to sign in at the office...Clean. Comfortable beds. Appliances worked.Would stay here again in an unplanned pinch, but wouldn't plan it in advance.Service at check in was good, but when called about no WiFi signal, man unapologetically stated that he couldn't guarantee a signal to our room.

Can't give this place a rating about the experience of staying there. Called to make a reservation for a 2 night stay, was denied because they want hunters to be able to stay there for the opening of deer season. Guess hunters money is better than mine, and banking on them to show up. I will never tell anyone about this place, except to put it down.

Did not stay, but would have liked to. They have a 2-night stay minimum on the weekend. Just a head's up if you are looking for a one-night stay over the weekend. Waiting to hear back from another local hotel now.

This place is exactly what I needed. Budget motel, clean, in the the middle of a state Forest. I'll be back. Loses only one star for non-functioning wifi.5g service made that a near non- issue.

Campground- This was the only RV/Campground with spots available as we were passing through at the same time as the Blues Festival and the County Fair. We were sure that this was going to be a dive/questionable location because they "had" availability. We were we pleasantly surprised. They sent us around back on foot to pick the spot that was best for OUR rv. Quiet and pretty best describes. They have a beautiful grove of trees that you can pick a spot inside of or back up to - with utilities!

Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Many sporting opportunities nearby. The lot is filled with ATVs, kayaks, motorcycles. Love the area!
