The employees are very nice! Extremely helpful and always in a good mood! The only thing is that the AC has not been working and I've called their corporate line several times and have not heard back. The store associates stated their boss has already submitted 4 complaints about this issue and still hasn't heard anything. It's easily 95 degrees in the building. The poor associates are visibly uncomfortable and sweating. As soon as I walked in I wanted to leave. I feel so bad for them. Personally, I am very sensitive to the heat and I almost passed out in the bathroom because it was so hot. Talk about a potential lawsuit. This needs to be fixed ASAP or someone is going to get hurt. It's poor business practice on the Dollar General company.

I'm a regular here and the employees are always pleasant and helpful. I always see them working hard to keep shelves stocked and organized. Decent selection of many items at a good price. My go-to store for everything I need. Keep doing what you're doing ladies!!👍💪

Stopped in for quick grab of few items. Found everything I needed and then some. Staff is minimally friendly but not unpleasant. She might have been tired. Store well stocked for what I wanted. Didn't have time to look further because I had to be quick. Parking lot is as cleaned up of snow as can be expected considering the snow still falling. Entryway nicely salted and rubber mats free of debris.

Waited in line for 15 minutes, no joke, while the manager “trained” the new employee but all she was doing was ringing up a $150 grocery purchase $25 at a time so she could use the $5 off coupon multiple times. No one is line was even attempting to social distance so I walked out and will never go back. There is hardly ever a checker at the register, you always have to search them out and ask to be checked out. It’s the most frustrating place to shop ever!!

Truthfully one of the worst experiences in a store i have ever had. I took my handicapped grandmother to this store because she wanted to buy some things. They have a nice selection of things to buy, however, the problem comes in the overall presentation of the store. There was not a single isle, save for one or 2, that my grandmothers wheelchair could make it through. There were so many temporary carts for employees to use for putting inventory away that I physically could not push her anywhere at all in the store. There seemed to be only one employee in the store and I felt bad for the guy because he was working his absolute best to try to tend to all the customers needs and also do his daily tasks at the same time. In summary, please clean up your isles to allow for better access to the store and if possible please keep a few more people on staff to help the one who was working his butt off and this store would probably be closer to five star.

They have good prices and a wide selection. But sometimes the food tastes a little off. It makes me wonder if they have an arrangement with the national brands and so get lower quality food that they can sell at low prices. Be sure to check dates.

Staff wasn't friendly actually kind of rude, also the Line was long and instead of helping on another register a manager( young girl) walked away and stood and watched. I have been in the store other times and quite enjoyed the service, very polite and friendly, but today I was disappointed.

It was a fiasco on the evening of 3/22/18!!! Busiest I've ever seen it, people were buying for their spring break vacations. There was a hold-up at the register & the "help" that came did NOT open the other register to check people out. If you have forever & a day to wait in line then this is the store for you!!

The older woman who works behind the counter is very rude and literally complains every time I am there about "how nice it will be when she gets off work". I have also never been to a convenience store where no one is ever at the counter when I need to check out.

This Dollar store is a bit larger than others in Madison. Friendly staff, if you can find them. Great selection of goods, especially holiday items.

Cashier was not wearing a mask. I dont care that there was plexiglass in front of her there was nothing to stop her germs from her hands as she handles goods. Felt very unsafe.

A sub-par place to shop and an even worse work place. The management is a joke when it comes to schudling and maintaining a friendly work enviroment. This is a store ill never throw a dime at ever again.

Typical Dollar General. Every items seems to always be in stock. They run the typical deals/discounts and have a a clearance section for discounted items. Seems to only ever be two employees working at one time so that can result in long lines from time to time.

Please!! Can all of your employees wear masks!! There should be NO employees without masks !!! If an employee can't wear mask they should not be employed by Dollar General!! I have witnessed a employee at dollar General store in Brooklyn Wisconsin that hasn't been wearing a mask!! I'm sorry they shouldn't employ anyone that can't wear a mask!!!!

Lots and lots of stuff... Staff tends to just stare at you without a greeting of any sorts... Little awkward but once I got to the register the lady was friendly.
