I thought I had eaten some bad Chinese food in the past. This greasy spoon is the only Chinese restaurant to get a review so maybe it will save someone from the worst meal of their life. It takes a lot of work to make crunchy crab Rangoon. Oops no crab or flavoring. Just cream cheese in a grease laden wonton folded over. The spring roll was not throughly cooked. The fried rice was burnt and greasy. We asked for no mushrooms and right on top of the Szechuan Chicken was a big mushroom in all his glory. I asked for mustard and red sauce for the Cheese Rangoon and got one of each. Now for something good about the restaurant. The delivery was prompt and the person was polite. I’ll never go back.

Way expensive for what we got. Menu online price is extremely different than our charge on credit card. Hot and sour soup was CRAZY hot, meals had extremely little meat. Will never return. :(Parking: Fine

We haven't gotten food here in years because the last time we went it was so awful! Well, today, we were both craving Chinesefood, but we're too tired to go out of town. So we decided to give it another try. I am so glad we did! It was wonderful! Our food was hot and fresh and tasted amazing! We will be back!

If I could give 0 stars I would.Way too expensive to be this bad. Dry rice, bad dumpling sauce, Beef & broccoli had carrots in it and some hard stringy thing? Tasted so bad. Save yourself the time and go to Monroe for Chinese. Much better there, or even better Janesville.

We have ordered many times through China House. There food is good but the customer service is TERRIBLE. Over the weekend we had ordered. We drove 20 min home to find out that we were missing some chicken. I called and she insisted that I had it. I kept telling her that I did not. She said to come back in. After driving another 20 min back I walked in and she tossed it through the window at me. No apology or anything! I asked of I could get some kind of a coupon for driving 40 min out of my way. She laughed and said no. Unbelievable!!!!!! How can a small business treat people like that!!?

The freshly cooked springroll and the amazing tasting fried wontons were 10/10. Highly recommend this restaurant for a quick take out because the food here is underrated and good tasting. Coming here again!

I got the House Special Lo Mein and it was outstandingly delicious. Wasn't too greasy, wasn't too salty. Also, the waitress was nice and friendly, so very good customer service.

We ate here shortly after COVID restrictions were lifted. Food tasted off, egg rolls tasted like they were fried in oil from start of shut down. My wife and I didn’t feel the greatest the next day. Shared some of the food with another person and they had multiple symptoms of food poisoning.

Happened to be in town for an event, so decided to try this place. It's small with a few tables; primarily a take-out place, in fact, 3 parties came in to get take-out while we were there. But the smell of grease when we walked in the door should have tipped us off that this was perhaps not going to be the quality we were expecting. For starters, the crab rangoon we ordered tasted like old grease. Our entrées, while the portions were very generous, had absolutely no flavor, with way too much white sauce that was too thick and goopy, and tasted like too much cornstarch. We decided not to take any leftovers home, and won't return either.

The food was okay at best. I got the mongolian beef and fried rice. The rice was dry and tasteless like a typical low end Chinese restaurant., The beef in mongolian beef was wonderful. Unfortunately I only got 5 small strips of beef and about 3 whole onions.The crab Rangoon was garbage.I may try it again some day but doubtful.

Had a hankering for chinese food...this was nearby figured id give em a go. The teriyaki beef sticks were perfect and tender. The egg rolls were a bit average and th3 fried rice was a bit dry, but otherwise a good meal deal. Will be going again to try other options.

Absolutely disgusting!! Inside of egg rolls were rotten and had a horrible smell. Mongolian beef was gooey and I won’t talk about the chicken fried rice.. A complete waste of time and money.

So glad to have a good Chinese/Asian place back in Brodhead! The menu is even bigger and better than the previous Chinese restaurant that occupied the space. The food is about what you expect when you get Americanized Chinese takeout, which is a compliment - I love Chinese takeout! The sauces are good and flavorful, and the service is fast and no-nonsense. The potstickers, egg rolls, chicken and beef teryaki, sesame chicken, and General Tso's chicken are all pretty spot-on. The crab rangoons are serviceable. The serving sizes for the dinner items are generous - will be eating the leftovers for dinner tonight, and they will be ample. Will definitely explore their menu more next time I get a Chinese food craving! Keep it up, China House!

It's run of the mill Chinese food, it's good if you are desperate. I will personally spend the extra 10 min. drive and get chopsticks in Monroe.Beware the lady answering the phone has to work on her people skills.
