I brought a deer there last fall. First time I've ever been here. Had over 70lbs of burger made (was mixed with 40% beef). First package we had tasted like a$$ and very gamey. I've been hunting and eating venison for a long time to know it shouldn't taste like this. To give them the benefit of the doubt we tried other packages and they all tasted like this. I talked to them and brought this to their attention and they basically told me 'sorry not sorry'and that it was me and that my taste buds maybe need checking. I assured them I've been eating venison for a long time and I've never tasted anything this bad. We also shared some with friends and family to make sure it wasn't just us and they all said the same thing. Very disappointed in their customer service and we'll never bring another deer there again and my friends and family feel the same.RESPONSE TO OWNER'S REPLY BELOW:The deer was field dressed accordingly like I've done many times before. The day it was harvested, the temps were in the single digits to teens. Deer was hung up like I've done many times before and then brought to the processor the next day. Everything was done correctly. I tried relaying what this tasted like to the business and even told them I'd let them try out some packages for themselves but they refused and put the fault on me. This is the first time I've ever had bad tasting venison from a processor. The owner also forgot to mention that there are several factors that are in a processor's control to make sure the product that the consumer is getting is of the highest value. It obviously didn't happen here. To immediately put the blame on me and not even once take ownership of the situation and maybe think something could have happened on their end speaks volumes. They didn't even attempt to make it right.Also, it was one deer and a few lbs of scraps from another deer that was made into snack sticks.

I generally go there to buy different ingredients for bread making. They have several different types of flour that are hard to find such as double zero flour for making pasta, pizza dough etc. They have an additional area full of beautiful fabric if you're in to making quilts or just sewing in general. It's a beautiful drive taking the back roads north from Menomonie.

Recently purchased a large Prime Rib thay turned out absolutely beautiful and wonderful. I forgot to take picture but there wasn't anything left. I also love the variety of seasoning they have that you can't find elsewhere. And their bacon wrapped stuffed chicken breast is also amazing and makes for a super simple dinner.

The Grain Bin and Butchery is a great place to find all your necessary needs in bulk. We love all the spices, cookie mixes, pancake mixes and meats! They have the best canning lids around! The smoked pork chops are to die for! The people are so nice and we consider them family! Thank you for a great environment and making us feel special! Oh and don’t forget the ice cream that you can eat under the covered porch!!!

Our family visits the Grain Bin as often as we can. It's a great atmosphere and everyone is so friendly and helpful. Last week we stopped in for some goodies. The natural casing hotdogs were amazing and we tried the parmesan garlic snack sticks. We are big fans and can't wait to try some other flavors. Also do yourself a favor and get some ice cream. You won't regret it.

Have been a few times and they have best flours and spices and different spices I could not find other places. By the bulk so i only had to buy what i needed. Every time i go there I have to look around at all the products and tasty treats

Love shopping here! Grain Bin has a variety of snacks. Something for everyone. Love the yogurt pretzels. Their beef sticks are the bomb! Garlic, terriaki, jalepeno are the best! Brats are out of this world. Plus all of the baking supplies. 😋

I had 3 deer processed with them last fall, very satisfied with the processing. Loved how the packages were double wrapped so no blood leaks out when thawing and stays fresh. Processing was done in a timely mater and very reasonably priced. I will surely be using them again in my processing needs.

These folks are excellent at what they do. We had them out to our farm to harvest three of our pigs. Admittedly, we had a couple of unusual requests for cuts but they did their best to honor them while also inviting us to watch the process and answer all of our questions. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who asks about a mobile butcher and plan to use them again in the future.

The grain bin is the perfect place to get meat processed. We take a hunting trip to Wisconsin every year and when I killed a deer last year they made sure I had it before I made the trip home. Jason and the guys are very good guys!

Great little country store that is stocked with many local farms, such as meats and cheese's, jams, and jellies, fresh breads and bakery items and many more items. Worth the check out. My husband and I have stopped a couple of times while on a utv ride and enjoyed a nice ice cream cone from their ice cream selection that they have and sit out on their front porch in a rocking chair and enjoy. Also not only is the items so wonderful, the staff is always so friendly, courteous and welcoming during your visit.

This is what heaven smells like! Incredible selection of locally produced goodies, from jams and spreads to a variety of canned and pickled items that would feel at home in a bloody Mary. All things baking and spices, mixes, toppings, and "general store" bagged candy. The best part? The blackberry turnover ( tastes just as good as it smells!) and cinnamon raisin bread that was fresh and flavorful, topped with their apples cinnamon jelly, definitely will bring me back again and again!

This is a combination of a quilting store, bakery, and bulk dry goods. The most lovely ladies were working while my husband and I were there. Excellent prices. Have heard the sweet rolls are to die for!!! Need to stop when the hubby isn't along! 😆

Wow! When I pulled in to park yesterday I thought I would need boots, it was slushy. They have nice, new concrete parking spots and sidewalk. When you open the door, the amazing fresh baked bread aroma greets you. The first room has an extensive display of spices, baked goods, bulk goods, cooler foods, you name it. The second room has fabric and gifts displayed nicely. It is so inviting! I'll be back with a Hunter's star pattern I have to purchase fabric for. And more bakery purchases :)Highly recommended!

Interesting place that combines a bakery, quilt shop and co-op like store for cooking and baking ingredients. My cinnamon roll was a few minutes short of fully baked in the center but the bread I bought was great. Haven't tried the muffin mix and pudding mix yet, but looking forward to it. Smallish but nice quilt shop that also has a good size classroom space where many ladies seemed to be happily sewing.

Always a treat to visit the Grain Bin. They have the most awesome baked goods and if you call ahead, they will have your favorite bread ready when you arrive. The staff are friendly and the owners are the nicest people you will ever meet. They also have bulk foods, all kinds of spices, dried fruits, chips and just about anything you could ever need. They have the best cinnamon buns, scones, and cookies. In the summer they also have ice cream. If you are into quilting, they are a must stop. Lovely shop. I'll probably see you there as I visit often.

Amish style bulk food store with fresh baked bread and delicious pastries. The mint brownie is ridiculously good as are the cinnamon rolls. We get the Lego candy bricks, puff mints, and stupid cheap and good chocolate covered espresso beans which are legitimate which might not se m possible at their price point. Great workers too.

Went to the Grain Bin today to get items to make a Friendship Soup for church. Dawn was great about reviewing the recipe with us and suggesting that we try a little less of one item.We asked her about gluten free items and she showed us products and explained how cooking with them is different. She also showed us a cookbook which would make trying new recipes easier.It is a pleasure to go shopping where you get this kind of service!

Love, love, love this place! Always have the things I need and want. The bakery is the finest. The staff is amazing. The owners are top shelf. If you've never been before, you really need to go! It's worth the drive!
