EXCELLENT SHOP! This is a top tier fly shop. I’ve never felt so welcomed and informed about not just local fishing, but complete new ways to target my favorite fish on the fly. Bill said something to me that I’ll never forget today and it was “My goal is to make this sport (fly fishing) available and enjoyable for everyone from all walks and aspects of life.” This is exactly why I would recommend this store to anyone! I visited the shop during the brutal polar vortex cold snap in the middle of a global pandemic and even though Bill was under the weather, he and his wife still helped me get everything on my fly tying list. This store is extremely well-stocked with virtually everything you need for tying and fishing—be it saltwater, cold water, warm water, or anadromus. They can help set you up! We are lucky to have them in northern Wisconsin. Thanks Bill and Dawn.

Very classy store. Even though the store wasn't open to browsing at the time, the owner was still very accommodating. He had extensive knowledge of the area and recommended that we not fish for trout that day because of a recent heat wave. Saved us from a wasted day on the water. The owner recommended some bass poppers that looked great instead of fly lures. If you're looking for someone with tons of local knowledge and experience, this is the place to go.

Bill Sherer just knows how to fish! He is incredibly knowledgeable about fly fishing and I consider him the go to guy on Fly Fishing for big musky and smallmouth bass, and you must not forget Walleye too. He knows every nook and cranny of Northern Wisconsin and the UP. He makes it feel like you are in Canada or Alaska. I highly recommend him and his shop.

Owner is friendly and helpful. Took a trip up to the porkies last July and he was happy to offer his insight. A lot of fly shops can be unfriendly, but this place was worth the stop!
