Pros: friendly staff, convenient pickup for meds, electric med records and appointment reminders. They take the time to make sure your dog is calm and that anything confusing is explained clearly, regardless of how much time it takes. You are able to come into the building with your dog at exam time.Cons: not many I can think of - you do have to call before entering the building at your appointment time, which feels like a lingering covid policy; however, I can see potential value in doing so (can avoid issues with larger dogs interacting with smaller dogs which entering/exciting, etc.). This process becomes an issue if you have T-Mobile as you won't be able to call when you arrive due to lack of cell signal. P.S. no more T-Mobile for me. :⁠-⁠)Tip: there's a lower entrance (left side of building) and an upper entrance (right side of building). For appointments, park on the left/lower side. For med pickup (or dog drop-off) park on the right/upper side.

They have provided such compassionate care for our animals through the years. You can tell how much they love animals. Our dogs love to visit and get excited when we pull into the parking lot. The "sqeezy cheese" on a tongue depressor is the highlight of their visit! Our dog, Cooper, recently had a cancer diagnosis and they will diligent in their care and follow-up. I knew he was in good hands. I also really appreciate that they look at other ways to care for common issues. Some extra immune support for our other pup and her allergy skin has cleared up - so much better than a medication regimen. I can't recommend them enough!

The care seems adequate enough, until it isn't. Go here if you want them to overlook a deadly condition, ultimately resulting in a massive waste of valuable time, suffering, money, and most importantly, your pet's life. May they never make the same mistakes again with anyone's pet. Apologies are not enough. Staff can and must move on to the next pet patient, but a pet's family can not move on quite as easily. Please, always get a second opinion if you feel as though something isn't quite right when going to BEVC, or any clinic for that matter.

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with the staff and care at Black Earth Veterinary Clinic. They are thorough, have answered any and all questions I have had and make quality of life based recommendations for my pets. I recently had a last minute trip out of town and needed to board my dog who was coming due for a vaccination needed for the kennel - they were able to squeeze me in on short notice so I didn't have to reschedule my trip or find a different option for boarding. It's little things like this that make a difference and I highly recommended this practice!

We love them! We've gone to them for routine care, everyday illness and end of life care. They're wonderful. You know they love animals they're gentle and kind. They sometimes run a bit late but they're worth the minor inconvenience. They don't rushed through explanations or instructions and they've never been rough with any of our cats no matter how busy they maybe or how much our girls protest the indignity of it all.They're compassionate and accommodating at the end of their lives. When it was time to let them go they got us in same day and gave us time to say goodbye and process the heartbreak. They recognize and understand what the furry little babies mean to us.They've been great with our geriatric cats and our kittens. Recommend to everyone.

I have gone to this vet clinic for over ten years. I LOVE working with them! They take the time to answer all of your questions, and are always amazing with my dog. Even after I moved away, I drove the extra 30 minutes one way to come here instead of finding a new vet - they are THAT great!

I love this place! All I have to do is tell my dog "Let's go to the vet" and she gets so excited. They are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They know all of my pets by name and are reasonably priced. I can't recommend them enough!

The team is excellent and you can tell they actually care about all the animals they see. Our dog Kona actually likes going to the vet...it might be because of the cheese she gets when she visits haha. I can't speak highly enough of the team and the care they give.

Dr. Katie is absolutely wonderful. She is intelligent, sensitive & understands not only your beautiful 4-legged but you, the human.I love this clinic. The people are incredibly great & the rates are super reasonable.

Few weeks ago I admitted to being unhappy with them putting forth NO effort to see my dog after I woke to him bleeding from a vasectomy they did rudely being told "were not gonna move aside other clients for your dog" with no indication of that being what I was implying , simply asking is there anything you can do Do? It was 8am and I was in panic mode pleading watching my puppy bleed, and received no understanding! Just rudeness! I had to go elsewhere! today, I called them for help for my cat with a swollen eye, (18 yrs old) being given a 2pm appointment until I mentioned she was I'll 2weeks prior and had to go to spring green cause they had no appointments, tthey then told me they refused to see me!!! Aren't they as a vet supposed to worry for the care of ill animals and not be petty? Very unprofessional!

If you love your animal family member, Black Earth Veterinary Clinic is the finest provider of medical care you will find. A successful business operation, it is equally successful in providing empathy, compassion and genuine care for our animal friends. My dog has been treated at the University of Wisconsin Veterinary Hospital, and some of the better Veterinary Clinics in Wisconsin, Texas and Michigan, none provide the professional, respectful and medical service that BEMC does. Again, if you love your animal, and want what is best for your friend, the Black Earth Veterinary Clinic is worth traveling to.

Friend had a very poor experience during dogs final days. Staff used major guilt trips to convince her to spend more money on a dying dog. When she refused one of many expensive tests they made sure to outright blame her for the dog's condition. This did nothing but prolong her, and the dog's suffering. She won't be returning and neither will I. There are lots of good vets around this area, this isn't one of them.
