Small place that really cares about dog welfare. I left a message looking for a nail trimming appointment for a recently adopted chihuahua. Michelle called me back promptly and fit us in same day. The price is super reasonable.On arrival, my nervous dog was greeted with massive warmth. Everything was explained to me and he stayed remarkably calm throughout the appointment. Michelle took the time to show me how to file his nails myself and asked about his (visible) allergies. Really caring place that took great care of my dog.

This is a review based on our experience May 25th with our then 11 week old puppy. The groomer said she is not a Poodle, but a Portuguese Water Dog.She explained to me that her fur isn't curly, she has a patch on her chest, and that the breeder is lying about AKC papers.I requested her to pluck her ears and when I got home we realized they weren't. My boyfriend called and she said the hair was too compacted and if it was forced out, it can cause infection which just isn't true.She also said again that our dog isn't a Poodle and he explained that she is for a fact that breed.Our experience was not comfortable and have found someone else to go to.

I called to make an appointment for my Aussie to get a full grooming. I asked for a trim including the area around the rear end. The owner spoke to me in a scolding voice and said “that’s not what we do here!” She claimed that his hair would grow back in all patchy. We’ve been getting him groomed this way for over 6 years in the summer! She claims that other groomers don’t know what they are doing. We live in the country and he gets in to everything and it has greatly helped with getting the burrs out of his hair and also keeping him clean. He also loves it. Not friendly and should have listened to my instincts with other reviews.

These groomers believe they know more about my pets then I do, my 2 dogs are 11 years old n get groomed on a regular basis, tried DTH on a referral to save some money, I keep them groomed short For good reason, picked them up n they only looked bathed, taking them today back to previous groomers because my appointment is another 7 days out n my poor dogs are so grown out uncomfortable! I know the reply everyone gets, “we go by….attach a guideline website…” I’ll pay more n get what my dogs like, it’s insulting to tell me what my pets need n not good business tactics, cancel my 28th appointment, my long haired, messy babies are going for a nice close trim today 😀

Customet Service was great. But grooming cut I wanted was what I wanted. I wanted short and I didn't get what I wanted. Told me that if she cut that short her hair wouldn't grow back. I had my girl for 3 years and I also got her cut real short and her hair always grew back. So she will not be goingback to them.

Hermies is a pomeranian and always gets such wonderful service every time. We've been coming here for years and he won't let anyone else come near him except Michelle and the staff here. I am a first time dog owner and was told to get my pomeranian shaved until Michelle educated me about how to properly take care of him. I am so grateful for everyone here. Professional and caring is what I was looking for and found it at Down Town Hound! Thank you ladies you are all appreciated!

Went to see if they could help clip some of my dog's nails that are sensitive due to overgrowth. They were great with my dog, and took care of it on the spot. Immediately made an appointment for a full bath and brush.

Great experience, only did a nail trim, in and out in 10 minutes only because I have a difficult dog. Rottie was maybe 2 minutes, Husky Pittie mix is full of anxiety. I need to work with her far more, hopefully next time will be better.

Terrible experience here today. Charged $50 for a grooming, nail trim .. 25 minutes later all the sudden my dogs done?,? Didn't listen to my voice-mail cuz i was so shocked he was done.. listening to my vm.. i was told he needed to be picked up because he annoyed other dogs

Very disrespectful will not be ever going back the one lady talked. Trash about my vet that I have been using for years and recommended her own vet probably gets commission no smile no thank you she overpriced me there is better people out there
